From disc to digital!

This doesn't make any sense. It should be that you load your disc. The digital copyright embeds into your account, and then the disc shouldn't ever to played by no other than yourself. Right?

Xbox is reportedly testing a "Disc-to-Digital" program. By inserting compatible Xbox One or Series X discs into your console, you can register a digital license on your Microsoft account to play the game without the disc.

The system will work with the following rules:

Disc Compatibility: Works for Xbox One and Xbox Series X discs, but excludes Xbox 360 and original Xbox titles.

Ownership Tying: The digital entitlement is tied to the physical disc; if you sell, loan, or give your disc to a friend, the digital entitlement moves with it, and you will lose access.

This feature is being developed as the gaming industry pushes toward disc-free consoles and a digital-only future.

Best Buy LG 65" C5

I wanted to finally update from my beautiful but old Samsung PN51F8500 Plasma TV. I just updated my Xbox One, to the now discontinued Xbox Series X Galaxy edition.

The bigger 65" is just a better fit by delivering true 4K resolution at up to 144Hz, true HDR contrast with perfect blacks, and virtually zero input lag that is crucial in FPS games.

I got so lucky buying it. The price was down to $1099 on Monday. I saw an "open box" listed as "good" condition. I didn't get my hopes up high. So the markdown price was $938. I get there and the remote and screws were still in the sealed bags. Both me and the salesman were puzzled, because it should have been graded as "excellent." So he's ringing it up and the price now was $828.99! I added the BB 5 year warranty for 189.99, and the Best Buy Plus for $29.99, used my Best Buy card and chose to get the $50. credit instead of financing it. All said and done $1118 with tax, and then the $50 off of that! I'm NEVER this lucky.

The TV fired right up with no problems. The remote is a little strange though with the pointer and voice control that I'm not used to. All in all its a superior picture from my well loved Plasma.

I'm glad I got my Galaxy edition yesterday before all Hell breaks loose.

OneXPlayer 3 bonus items.

OK, so when you join the indiegogo campaign, you get items for free depending what caliber of handheld you buy.

There's been some false information on news sites about what you get.

On the 3 w/32GB - 1TB, you get three items, a case, screen protector and a backpack. No keyboard or controller connector as what I had read. I opted to spend the extra $28 for the connector. I may never use it, but it's a nice extra for when I sell it to upgrade a few years down the road.

This is the picture OneXPlayer provides of the free items. Does anyone have a larger image? I'm mostly wondering what the pack looks like.

I just saw this on YouTube, but they didn't explain what Apex it actually was.

I haven't seen this on one before. Prototype?

Handhelds are over the top with the new pricing.

It was a true gut punch to me after patiently waiting for more information on the new Claw from Computex. When I started hearing $1500, I was taken back a little. This doesn't even offer an OLED VRR screen. Then when BB listed it for $1699, all I thought was, this can't be true. Well, I guess I won't be buying THIS handheld. OnexPlayer 3 will be out shortly with the Panther Lake chipset AND an OLED screen. The price hasn't been disclosed yet on the 3 though.

You know what would be great? A good handheld that works off connecting to a console or PC. No GPU, CPU or SSD, just good controls, screen and ergonomics. I don't even care if it's wired. That would be something most could afford. BTW, any of these handhelds can't even compete with the newer consoles graphically. 12 TFLOPS vs. ~ 4.5 on the Xbox series X vs. the beast of a handheld, the Onexplayer Apex. Let's get back to our senses and not go down the handheld rabbit hole.

The Claw EX AI + shouldn't be $1699.99

I was very excited when they showed this handheld at Computex, stating the price was $1500. It's still a little high with it, not sporting an OLED, but I was planning to get it. Then Best But put it up on their website for $1699.99! I always supported Best Buy, but $200 over price = - 1 customer. No thanks, Bad Buy

Should I get the A50 X?

I'm on the fence on getting the A50 X's. I know the fidelity is super, and they are well known for that. Even the mic is fantastic. Believe it or not, I still have a set of the A40s with the mix amp. The other headset would be the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro.

What I find very strange is that all the premium headsets don't have a plug-in dongle for handheld. The only one I could find that had one was the SteelSeries Nova 7. They are not really in the quality range I'm looking for. So, to make things less painful when laying on the couch playing, I've narrowed it down to the USB-C data cable and a 90-degree adapter so the cable isn't sticking straight up. A lot, if not most quality cables, are stiff and abrasive. This one has a silicone outer housing and more pliable, and bends better. So I'm just putting this out there if anyone is interested in this setup. Links below.

Thinking of using either of my old Astros on my soon to purchase Claw EX AI +. Bad idea?

My Astro A40 vs. A50 gen 4 conundrum. To be used with my soon to be purchased MSI Claw EX AI +.

Ok. I have both the Astros above.

I can use the A40 3.5 jack to plug directly into the Claw but will lose the power and EQ of the mix amp, then totally rely on the Claw's internal DTS EQ. The worry I have is the possibility of not getting enough power to drive the headphones, possibly making it sound terrible.

Using the old Astro A50 gen 4. Since they are charged on their own dock / EQ, I will need to buy the MSI Nest docking station along with a separate 100W charger for the MSI Nest to power it.

After all this craziness, it goes like this.

Why the Astro A50 is much better for a docked setup

If you use your MSI Claw EX AI+ plugged into a TV or a desktop gaming dock, the A50 is a massive upgrade over the standalone A40s:

Built-in Hardware DAC & Amp: The A50's desktop Base Station functions exactly like the MixAmp. It handles all the power distribution, digital-to-analog audio conversion, and physical volume mixing. \[1, 2, 3\]

Superior Audio Quality out of the Box: When connected via USB from the base station to a dock, the A50 uses ASTRO Audio V2 tuning. This natively provides deep, punchy bass and rich, natural spatial clarity without forcing you to mess with the MSI Claw's software settings. \[1, 2, 3, 4\]

Retained Headset Controls: You keep full hardware access to the EQ profile toggles and the Game/Voice chat volume mixer buttons built right into the side of the wireless earcups. \[1\]

Summary Recommendation

Stick with the A40s if you want to use the MSI Claw as a truly portable, clutter-free handheld. They plug straight in via the 3.5mm cable, and you can let the device's built-in DTS Audio Processing app do the acoustic heavy lifting.

Switch to the A50s if you primarily play with the MSI Claw resting on a desk or hooked up to a display, where leaving the wireless Base Station permanently plugged into a USB port isn't a hassle. \[1, 2\]

I know this is total craziness, but I'm very fond of my Astros performance.

Should I just scrap those plans and get a new wireless set-up?

Super Claw?

What is this guy talking about? Is this about gathering information from our devices for future updates?
