How is everyone feeling about results day?

I’m trying to stay calm and distract myself by cleaning and going to the gym mostly, but I’ve made a clearing plan just in case. I was wondering how everyone else is feeling, and what you’re doing to distract yourself? 😊

Waves are tangled, but can’t brush due to extreme frizz?

Hi everyone,

I have type 2b/c hair, and I typically only brush it before the shower and after. I use head and shoulders shampoo, and Herbal Essence conditioner. I then use the Umberto Giannini curl cream, gel and then a tiny bit of mousse on it, and then diffuse it. I sleep with a silk pillow case and wear a bonnet, so when I wake up in the morning, my waves are intact and not tangled enough to warrant brushing. However, I have quite thick hair, meaning that throughout the day, my hair gets progressively more tangled. I’m relatively new to learning how to style my natural hair, so I’m a bit lost with what to do with my hair when it’s all tangled, but I’m unable to brush it, as this causes extreme frizz. I’ve tried running my fingers through it, but again, due to the thickness of my hair this often does more harm than good (pulls my hair and creates frizz). I was wondering if anyone had any advice or tips on the matter? Thanks!

Refreshing curls in the morning?

Hi everyone,

How is everyone refreshing their curls/waves when they wake up? I sleep with a silk pillowcase and a bonnet, but some of my curls still look slightly lifeless when I wake up. I was wondering if anyone had any remedies to this? Thanks. 😊

Advice on possible routine/hair type?

Hi everyone,

I’ve had curly/wavy hair for most of my childhood (more curly when I was younger) but have been straightening it pretty much everyday for 7 years, so it’s understandably damaged😬. I do however want to start wearing my hair naturally, but I’m not really sure where to begin. The pictures above are what my hair looks like when I use the Cantu curl activation cream on it, and then use a diffuser to dry it. However, it leaves it feeling quite undefined and rather dry. I was wondering if anyone had any product/routine suggestions to help the pattern become more prominent, and to help heal my hair. I was also wondering how often everyone brushes their curls? My hair is rather thick and gets tangled easily, but when I brush it, it essentially becomes a ball of poof lol. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks so much. 😊😊

Battery dying quick on new kindle, even after only using for two or three minutes.

Hi everyone,

I upgraded to a 2024 Raspberry Kindle PaperWhite just over a month ago, and I’m loving it. However, there does seems to be an issue with the battery, and how fast it is draining. I actually made an initial post like this a few days after I got it, and people told me it was likely because it was new and was downloading all my books and data. However, a month on and the issue seems to be no better. I do use it very frequently (2-3 hours a day) which could be contributing to the issue, but I seem to notice the battery draining when I’m using it only momentarily. For example, this morning I was scrolling through my Kindle unlimited recommended list, for about two or three minutes, and I noticed that my battery had dropped from 58% to 54% in this two minute period. Is this normal? I was wondering if anyone had an advice or answers, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. 😊

Getting prescription medication as a UK tourist?

Hi everyone,

I’m staying in Pollença at the minute, but unfortunately I failed to bring enough of my prescription medication with me from the UK. The medication is a low dose of amitriptyline (for nerve pain), and I’m missing about 3 days worth. I was wondering if any pharmacy here would be able to help me, or what I would have to do in order to possibly obtain some? Thank you.😊

Paint peeling off acrylics?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been going to a new nail salon since January, and every set I’ve had with them, bar one, has had the paint start to peel off. I’m wondering if this is something I’m doing, or if it’s them? I’m going on holiday soon and I’m hesitant to use that salon again as I don’t want my paint to chip while I’m away. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks. 😊

Can I take small medication into Wembley?

Hi, I’m seeing a concert in Wembley soon, and I have a medical exemption to take food into the stadium, but I accidentally forgot to request medication as well. Will I be okay taking tiny anti-nausea pills in with me, or will they take them off me? Thank you. 😊

How lenient are Exeter Uni on results day?

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any experience with Exeter on results day? I need AAB for Law with European Study, but I’m feeling like I’m not going to get this, as in mocks I’ve mostly achieved A*BB. I have extenuating circumstances due to a disability, and I’ve had several meeting with the Exeter team about it, and they’ve put in place an Individual Learning Plan for me, but this is obviously all contingent on me meeting my offer. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks. 🙂

Is this a bump?

Hi everyone,

I got my helix pierced with an 8mm titanium threadless bar in December 2025, and I’ve not yet had it downsized (I’m in my final years of schooling so it has been chaos for the last 6 months). I clean it twice and day with piercing solution from my piercer, and sleep with a piercing pillow, so if I do sleep on it, it’s an accident. It’s had no major knocks. I was wondering if this looks like a piecing bump on the back of it? It’s been a bit irritated for the last few days, getting more crusty than normal, but fine otherwise. Would my best course of action be to downsize it? Only problem being I won’t have any free time to do that for at least another 2 weeks, and I’m going on holiday, so I’m worried about chlorine and sea salt potentially irritating it after it’s been downsized. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks. 😊

‘To what extent is nationalism more regressive than progressive?’

I did this question, what did everyone do their paragraphs on? I did self-determination, what they believe brings people together in society (culture, race, etc) and internationalism. Curious to see what other people did😊

Edexcel Politics Paper 2

How did everyone find it? The devolution question was lovely, and the nationalism questions were nice. 😊
