I think an animated movie adaptation of the Korra game could be really nice

I think an animated movie adaptation of the Korra game could be really nice

Idk just a random thought that came to my mind xD, it's a shame we never got a book series for this story and I'm pretty sure it's canon too? Correct me if I'm wrong.

How would you guys wanna see this work as a series/movie (ik we prob won't get something like this for Korra but i hope we do lol... Edit: doesn't mean I'm not down for a series about this as well xD. 2nd edit: definitely if it ever gets adapted as a movie or some shebang it needs a rewrite too but some ideas stay the same.

The Remains of the Avatar (WIP): a fanfic I'm working on that's focused on Korra's recovery journey. (More details in the body text and the link to the fanfic itself.)

First of all I just wanna make it clear.. that's gonna be probably the most depressing shit I will ever write in my entire life so keep that in mind lol.. but doesn't mean there won't be happy moments and a happy ending too ;) so anyway

This fanfic is based on Korra's recovery in s4 and focuses on themes like self hate, self harm, PTSD and trauma and etc and also I'm trying to write a proper Korrasami buildup in it too coz I have always felt it was kinda rushed..

I'm kind of depressed rn also (kinda is not enough but oh well) so I thought about writing something that I can relate to and a character that I relate to which is Korra..

My fanfic is still in WIP tho I finished up to chapter 4 which I still need to find a proper ending to it.

Suggestions and thoughts are more than welcome :)

As for the fanfic here it is.

https://archiveofourown.org/works/87901161/chapters/232973986 Edit: that's my first time writing something :) 2nd edit: I will fuck around with new ideas like Katara for example trying bloodbending as a last healing resort for Korra since Korra pushes her to do something experimental since she can't wait any longer and sees no progress being made in those healing seshs.

Sleep issues.

ok so it's been more than a year or 2, maybe even 3 with me suffering from those shitty sleep issues lol
anything i try whether it is sleep aid meds and shit never works with me i always stay up till it's like 11 am or 12 pm and the max amount of hours of sleep i get is 3 or 2 hours literally.
I can mostly blame trauma and PTSD coz of this shit but then again insomnia keeps fucking with me I can never sleep really.. How would you guys deal with that?

Can somebody make it look like tears are falling from her eyes in the same style of the shot from LoK?

Working on a fanfic for LoK and would love for this image to be edited so I can use it in my fanfic. I will also leave credit for whoever is able to help me with it 🙂, thanks!

What do you guys think of the concept of Korra being the last Avatar? (Body text)

now don't get me wrong, I'm super hella mega excited for ASH xD but considering the technological advancements and so on during Korra's time rly opens the way for a more a modern world where the avatar slowly become less and less necessary. Between advanced weapons, industrialization and etc, I think the concept of Korra being the last Avatar is cool

Like she is the last Avatar and fixes all the stuff (well not necessarily all of them but a part of it) or it's more like Korra helps humans get thru one final era of chaos and the avatar's job is complete, and after that people thrive, what do you think? Edit: I'm not saying I want her to be the last avatar coz I wanna say she's a horrible avatar and caused all of this nooo xD in fact she's my favorite Avatar of all time (I like aang too!) but the concept of her being the last Avatar and fixing the world before she's gone is pretty interesting.

u/Human-Application-87 — 9 days ago

Why I see Korrasami in this instead of these 2 (great reference image)

I tried making a Korrasami out of it... It turned out horrible and I gave up lol, so I'm leaving this as a reference in case if any artist wants to do it their own way :)

Distance between Republic city and The South Pole?

Writing a fanfic focused on Korra's recovery and in a chapter I'm writing about the journey from Republic city to the South Pole but don't know the distance or the time it takes to reach there.

Can anyone make it so that tears are falling fork her and if possible make one of her eyes look red and puffy like she's been crying for a while? (More details in body text) (Also credit for my fanfic comic)

I do intend on using this for my fanfic comic that I'm writing and unfortunately my situation isn't rly the best but if somebody can help me with this I will gladly credit them in my fanfic comic for the help with the images 🙂, I'm writing a Korra fanfic. EDIT: I MEANT FROM HER AND NOT FORK IN THE TITLE I HATE AUTOCORRECT 😭😭

u/Human-Application-87 — 15 days ago

So let's say LoK wasn't a kids show, what type of dark stuff do you think we would have seen or would say actually happened in Korra's recovery in the south pole?

When I say this I mean like stuff related to her depression, trauma and ptsd, and how she handled that, stuff that happened that we didn't see, I'm also asking this coz I'm also trying to get ideas for a fanfic I have been thinking about writing which is gonna be specifically tied to Korra's recovery Edit: I'm not asking this coz I want to see Korra suffer or asking for extreme content, no no xD I wanna know how it looked like for her in a more detailed way.

My top 10 villains ranking (body text) (I would love to hear yours too!)

As I said in my post talking about top 10 LoK characters for me I mentioned that I will make one for villains separately and here we are.

1.Unalaq (did I cook with this one? 🔥)

ok so I know for a fact this isn't the fandom's most liked villain but for me he is rly one of the most enjoyable villains I saw in any series like for real, his concept is done in a rly cool way, evil uncle who abuses, grooms emotionally, manipulates his brother's daughter (Korra) just to get to his own goals is a nice way for setting up a villain, I'm a fan of seeing villains who are like uhhh... from your own family pretending to help you and stuff like this when at the end they don't even mean it for you, his fights in the last 2 episodes especially were rly some awesome sauce 👌, he also expands Korra's character in a way, he does remind me a bit of Asami and Hiroshi Sato, Asami has betrayal trauma coming from her dad, Korra does have that too from her uncle who she rly trusted (I don't blame Korra for trusting him since yk, her dad lied to her, I get why he lied but she still had a right to be pissed off, tenzin couldn't help her spiritually, no one warned her sooo) he got her father banished and then later on in jail, on top of that he grooms her, abuses her, manipulates her and then abuses her physically, takes Raava out of Korra (Jesus Christ that scene looked like fucking horror to me what the fuck even was that XD) and destroys the connection to the past lives that Korra and breaks her down, it really also adds to Korra's character development and her trauma and ptsd, he sets up the way for her to be her own self and helps the character develop, nice villain,I liked him merging with Vaatu to become a new dark Avatar, I know he has his flaws like him being obvious as a villain and us not knowing why he had such motives but overall nice villain, I like that guy.

2.Amon

Scariest and one of the strongest villains in the entire franchise not just LoK, as for his introduction it was mysterious, I like myself some mysteriousness, again another case where the series does politics in a great way which is something 14 yo old me didn't appreciate back when I first watched the show and now I do, he is one of the strongest coz he literally take ppls' bending away and lock them in their places, I liked his back story and what I liked is his encounter with his dad when he told him we are not your tools of revenge which adds up to his motives in a way, his goals are equality and all of that shebang and that he believes bending is the main source of evil, you see, he is a fraud by all means when it comes to his identity and public appearance, that didn't ruin his character for me except I wanted to see Amon in more seasons next to the other villains lol but anyway it added another layer which is he rly believed in his ideas too, he also takes Korra's most important identity part which is bending in season 1, again adds another layer to Korra's character,I don't know how else I can touch on him except he is a great villain.

3.Zaheer

You son of a bitc-

ok so his introduction as a villain is rly nice, becoming an air bender after harmonic convergence is very interesting to say the least and I love that he is an ideological villain if that makes sense? he isn't power thirsty like Unalaq but it's more like he believes in total freedom for everyone by removing world leaders and that the avatar isn't important anymore and one thing I also like is that as much as he is a crazy lunatic but he does believe in his ideas unlike Kuvira who when Korra defeated her she surrendered, hell if Zaheer got out of prison he would still try to haunt Korra down, which reminds me of something, I like the fact the show didn't redeem him which and just made it that Korra's and Zaheer's interests align about Kuvira but oh boy if that guy was out of prison he would still try and take Korra down XD, he is also the guy who caused Korra the most trauma and damage on her, poisoning, physical beat down, basically left her paralyzed on a wheel chair, gave her PTSD and trauma and near death experience and opened a way for her to develop as a character and recover in season 4,him picking up on air bending quickly too, amazing villain

4.Kuvira

"This girl.. is crazy" -Mako, ok so one thing I love about LoK is how they did the political theme in the series and how politics works and all that sort of stuff and we got the character Kuvira, I found her introduction interesting when I first watched the show with mom and questioned myself why she had more appearances than other guards in season 3 and was like I'm sure she will have a role for season 4 and that's an introduction for her, and we indeed got her and as the main villain too, she works rly great as a dictator, I know all what she did wasn't right and she caused more bad than good but her backstory and how she was treated and what she wanted to accomplish justifies it a bit (I'm not justifying dictatorship and all the shit that she has caused obviously and sorry if my wording was wrong but what I mean is that she clearly had a reason why she did this xD) and her motive to stabilize the earth kingdom is a good motive too, obviously she was crazy but her as a crazy dictator works rly well, I will always admire the political theme LoK gave us, also she is one of the coolest metal benders too, her fighting style is one of the stuff I like about her also, I don't have much to say for her except, she's an amazing villain

ok so the other villains I won't talk about much since we didn't rly get to know much about them so uh here we go I guess lol (except for tarrlok maybe)

5.Aiwei (I have him higher coz of his concept)

Great villain concept, we didn't get to see much of him which is a shame I would have liked to see him work more with Zaheer and have a role in season 4 with Kuvira but uh that's what we got in the series,I liked his betrayal aspect to Zaofu, him being able to know if you are lying or telling the truth which shouldn't be underestimated,so uh him lying about that guard was rly cool he could have had more time in the season and get used like this as one of the most trusted persons in Zaofu who abuses his position, beautiful villain concept that didn't get used much.

6.Tarrlok

He isn't rly a villain in the traditional sense but is more like somebody who is power hungry and somebody whose childhood shaped, he is designed in a way to be a blockade for Korra , he is also one of the best politically written character throughout the series, him also being a skilled water/bloodbender adds up to how big of a threat he posseses, deep character also, both brothers had goals they wanted to achieve but their father ruined them, those characters could have been explored upon in later seasons but ending them like this was still cool tho especially after tarrlok regretting what he did and his brother taking his bending away which makes him depressed.

7.Vaatu

Most pure form of evil, he's basically like Satan xD, he didn't get much screentime but him as the source of darkness is good, unlike other villains he represents chaos and imbalance basically the opposite of Raava, his design is rly cool and the fact both Raava and Vaatu can fuse with avatars/humans is a good way to make an even more dangerous villain like we got with UnaVaatu, he doesn't have that much time on screen nor lore but as a symbol for evil he is great, rly great actually xD.

ok I will speak about the red lotus group less since those we rly don't much about them xD

8.Ghazan

Cool brother vibes with bolin like for real xD, he is a villain yes but his interactions with bolin was actually nice and chill especially in that truck when both bolin and mako were tied up, hell even them fighting at the end of season 3 they both gave each other a smile when ghazan knew bolin could lava bend, his whole fight with Bumi xD, and his fighting style, unique lava bender.

9.Ming Hua

Cool/terrifying villain who could turn her disability into an advantage with water bending, not much screentime yes but I enjoyed her fighting style, it's aggressive and unpredictable too

10.P'Li

Cool villain with a nice backstory with Zaheer and has one of the most destructive bending abilities in the series, I liked how loyal she was to Zaheer and the red lotus unlike combustion man from ATLA, hell even played down her own life,we got to see more of her personality and interactions with the group, her fighting style is amazing she is a fucking threat because she can attack from far away and force everyone to keep moving, not much screen time but she is a cool villain.

Look I really can't explain myself well in stuff like this so I hope you guys didn't have pain reading my list xD , I do enjoy other villains too but that's my top 10 :) I want to discuss more about LoK I can't get enough of it 💙

My top 10 characters in LoK! (Detailed ranking in body text.)

Been enjoying LoK so much for the last more than a month period and I thought to myself hmm why not make a top 10 list characters of LoK (I will make a one for my favorite villains coz now I wanna keep it for the good guys :D) but uh yeah let me show you what I got

1.Mako (Will I get hated for having him as number one? Probably yes)

Most difficult choice I had to make honestly lol, I have been questioning myself whether it's Mako or Korra who should be in number one but dude do I really see Mako as one of the most realistic characters in the show if not the most realistic.. this man is goated as hell, he may have his flaws when it comes to romance and stuff like this but he does grow thru the series and shows actual growth (not saying it like he didn't develop at all), especially at the end of season 2 at the break up, season 3 and season 4 and oh god he is so smart, actually the one who was most grounded in team avatar when the others let emotions take over, he might also not be the guy for romance shit but oh is he the best friend who has got your back always and is willing to lay down his life just for the others,we saw that multiple times especially at season 4 when he was at the heart of the giant robot destroying the energy source and got himself almost killed I would have been so sad if he died 😭he may have broke up with both asami and korra but he really cared about them both , he does rly work great as a friend more than in a ship, he is also a great role model as a brother, hell even a father model too since he had to become a father for bolin resulting in the character bolin got unlike Mako who sadly had to suppress his emotions just to survive with his brother and give us the character bolin who is fun and all of that and is able to show emotions (not saying mako isn't fun, he is fun!!!), he may not be perfect but his flaws makes him a realistic character in the show especially considering what he had to go thru as a kid, god do I really see a lot of myself in my boy Mako ❤️

2.Korra

Oh god, that girl, I'm in love with her

ok enough with the shitty love letter but uh seriously Korra is a great character, if not one of the greatest characters of all time, she showed some of the best character developments of all time, in season 1 she starts as a hotheaded teenager but who also has a pure heart and is excited to help the world and is happy about being the avatar who happens to be a teenager who was isolated since childhood, but the entirity of the show breaks a part of that character thru each season, amon takes her bending which defined her as the avatar, her groomer of an uncle destroys the past lives connection which she thought is her her identity (literally her uncle did this, this shit hurts),Zaheer poisons her (shit it was a top fucking level assault from all kinds next to unalaq's assault on her)literally wanting to kill her with the purpose she was born for and she was trying hard not to enter to the Avatar state and was willing to die rather than dying in the avatar state and end the cycle, oh and he put her on a wheelchair after literally almost killing her and beating her down physically, I was like I'm sure she will recover after season 3 but how so, season 4 knocks in and doesn't give us a character who magically solves her issues like some shows does, no, she is put into the test and is forced to go thru it and it isn't easy, PTSD, trauma and also physical trauma too, she almost died multiple times and struggled too even after she was able to walk and do some stuff on her own, she had a lot to go thru, getting humiliated and so but she never gave up, I like this character because she is a human character, like literally, in atla Aang was trying to learn how to be the avatar, Korra had to learn how to be a human, literally she acts like a real person, breaks down at times and actually admits her fears, that damn time she broke down when the connection to the past lives was destroyed and Raava was ripped out of her.... that was so sad, or her crying at the end of season 3, in season 1 she thought she was unstoppable and all of that but she went thru some of the worst experiences which helped her grow as a compassionate to others character, rly well written character, I see a lot of myself in her just like I do see in mako, a character like Korra is the reason I'm less depressed now although I have to deal with trauma and PTSD and depression myself, but her recovery journey is what gives me hope, she is so fucking human, also a character who doesn't think about her life and is willing to lay down her own life for others, season 3 is a great example of this, season 2 too since she saved the world, same applies for season 4, fun character, loving person.

3.Tonraq

Best role model father istg I wish we got to see more of him ugh, he got his own vibe to him like for example his fighting style is so aggressive and is rly awesome looking, I was so happy to see Korra use that fighting style in season 2 when rescuing her dad from the ship that was headed the north pole if I remember correctly (correct me if I'm wrong) but besides the fighting style he is a genuine caring father , season 2 and season 3, what else do you want as proof of him being a great father model, although I do get why Korra was pissed off at him for lying but he did it for the best for and not out of shame only, his brother who betrayed him, beat him down and hurt him, he still saw Unalaq as his brother and told him "you are still my brother" it's rly rare to see ppl like this in our current world sadly also, he doesn't see Korra as the avatar but rather as his daughter because that's what literally she is, unlike his brother who was willing to lay down his own son's life when trying to open one of the portals, Tonraq is a loving dad who was willing to die for his daughter at both season 2 and 3,in season 2 he was willing to stop anyone from going thru the portal even when he was injured till Korra told him no, especially 3 where he literally almost died, he as a father also shows emotions the best in any media I saw (atleast for me) that time when he went to Korra when she was beaten down in s3 "Korra.. sweetheart... It's me.. dad... Please hang on" his voice, his emotions, his tears, fucking everything touched me, I still cry everytime when I watch that scene, and how happy he was when Korra woke up, also one of my favorite moments with him and Korra is the one where he gives her that kiss when she was on the wheelchair and tells her "you look beautiful sweetie" rly that is a great father, I don't know what else do I have to say except I wish I had a loving dad like him unlike the one I don't live with anymore lol...

4.BUMI, (AND I SAY IT IN CAPS BECAUSE HE IS AN MVP)

literally what do I have to say about that guy, the type of uncle you will never get bored from spending time with lol, he got a very chill and a nice/funny vibe to him, he talks about his totally real stories (I believe him) and makes Tenzin both jealous and pissed off 😂 and Kya joins him to clown on Tenzin even further in season 2 (poor boy Tenzin lol xD) but besides the fun part he is a loving brother and character too he cares about everyone, that scene when he meets Korra after 3 years without seeing her aww 🥰 I could literally say he feels like her uncle from how much he cares about her and others, and he is a cool non bender (he is still cool after he gets his bending), he is an MVP literally, who needs bending to take down an entire camp, you got the mind of a general and a commander, he really proved tenzin at that time that all his stories are real xD also he has such a nice vibe even in serious times lol like that time they were rescuing Jinora and Kai and was leading the air benders "yeah you are a horrible teacher daddy - meelo to tenzin" obviously that's a joke but ugh that guy knows how to lead and oh that fight with ghazan, he fucking bites him and pulls his hair xD, I don't need to watch a comedy show when I got Bumi, GOATED CHARACTER.

5.Bolin (Bumi's brother from another mother)

ok so that's the clown we actually needed in the series (I don't mean clown in a bad way lol) like he is, uhh, he can be serious but at a lot of times he is not serious like at all, but the show did it in a rly cool way and without making him feel like a lame or a useless character, also as much as the love triangle was messy as fuck and all of the romance stuff (me saying messy doesn't mean I'm saying it was a bad thing in the series also lol) but I kinda liked his relationship with Eska in terms of it being funny (she was abusive yes but it kinda was funny seeing what his character is like and how he reacts unlike others lol) he got a nice supportive vibe to him and supports other characters even if he isn't the smartest member of team Avatar but he is one of the most caring of them all, he sees you sad he tries to charm you up and shit, like Mako after he broke up with Korra at the end of season 2 "You need a hug?" Proceeds to hug him without an answer xD, he is also a strong character for not letting trauma shape him (by this I don't mean trauma made mako a horrible character but I mean it like Bolin is... ugh I don't know how to explain but you know what I mean, oh he is positive most of the time) I don't know what else to say about him except he is, funny, strong, loving person.

6.Varrick

I don't have much to say for that guy except he is a fucking comedy machine especially with his line "ZHU LI DO THE THING!" also interesting character who has some turns over the series like trying to kidnap Raiko and then goes like I'm still the good guy and shit like this xD, his relationship with Zhu li was interesting and also very enjoyable to see in season 4, only type of billionaire you can love , he also helps team avatar in a lot of ways too, I'm glad they included both Zhu li and varrick at that hug near the end of season 4 with Korra and the rest of team Avatar after Kuvira surrending near the new portal.

7.Asami

How do I touch on that girl, first of all I'm very glad they didn't turn her into a villain (basically an equalist spy like how they originally intended to do lol) she as a non bender has a very good impact on team Avatar, genius, passionate about the whole team, caring and loving person, emotionally mature next to mako, she also sadly goes thru a very shitty trauma which is her mom's death when she was 8 and her dad's betrayal but she learns how to go thru these events , stuff were messy with mako and Korra in the love triangle shebang but she still cared about them all she didn't let romance ruin it all, like rly this team as friends has the best vibes at all, but anyway she has one of the best fighting aggressive styles for a non bender, I rly love her fighting style it's just something else, also I hate the fact the show didn't show much of her but they did her justice in season 4 during her forgiving arc with her dad, I'm glad also she had a happy ending with Korra, she is an amazing character.

8.Kya (Bumi's support when it comes to bullying tenzin xD)

ok seriously tho, hm idk what I can say about her but she is one of my favorite water benders, she is a very chill person, loving person too (ik I have been mentioning that multiple times lol) and oh her water bending style is so amazing it's so sad we never got to see more of her in fights, had some great impact like healing mako bolin and Korra in season 2 after they were fighting UnaVaatu , trying to keep Jinora alive, trying to protect the air nation with Bumi and Tenzin, actually one of the characters I would have higher on the list if we saw more of her she is a character that they could have expanded on in the series, which is why I'm happy we are getting the Kya comic soon!!

9.Lin

Used to hate Lin back when I watched LoK when I was 14 and was like she's the most rude and annoying character in the series but I grew to love her especially now noting that I'm 20 and will turn 21 soon xD, she is cold, but a loving person, especially at season one 2 and till a good bit of season 3, she was very cold and didn't show much emotions coz of her trauma that she had to deal with, now I get why she was cold and all of that, but she still showed emotions, like at that time when bolin said team avatar is back to business after meeting with varrick st the prison and they all hugged in s2, she smiled in the back, she is the type of character who is a caring mother who never had kids, did you see how she interacted with Korra in season 3 when she was almost kidnapped and how pissed off she was that this happened?? also the coolest metal bender too, she had some nice moments especially her giving her bending up and not telling Amon anything about the others.

10.Suyin

Pretty much the opposite of Lin lol

Suyin has a cool vibe, she is strong but doesn't feel cold like Lin does what I really like about her is that she actually learns from her mistakes and builds a better life for herself and family instead of letting her past define her forever, Zaufo was one of the coolest places I saw in the whole show and the metal clan was so fucking cool too, and all of that comes from Suyin herself she made a place where ppl could grow learn and live peacefully, she as a character isn't perfect and made mistakes in the past especially with Lin but that makes her feel human, she is a skilled metal bender and was very fun to watch her in fights, compared to a lot of parents in media she tries to support her children too and hell even takes and raises Kuvira who is an orphan, one of her most important impacts was removing a huge part of the poison stuck in Korra, she basically saved the cycle, cool character strong leader.

So uh that's pretty much it, I hope I expressed myself properly since I usually don't write stuff like this or able to express myself but LoK made me in love with discussions and stuff like this :) if you have a different list out of this or even with different characters that aren't mentioned I wanna hear urs too :) I love other characters but uh yep that was my top 10, have a nice day guys, thanks for reading thru my list. Edit:I copied my post from my notepad since I was writing it down and I found myself repeating some sentences following the same sentence, must of been sth that got screwed up when I copied my post from the notepad file I have been writing on lol 2nd edit: I'm an idiot as mako would say, so many typos lol

That's a whole fucking horror movie on its own

Seriously what were they thinking when making this part, shit is so fucking scary indeed when she gets poisoned and holy shit that scene when Vaatu showed up again he was so fucking scary.

Time difference between LoK and ASH?

I saw some ppl say the time difference is like 100+ years or something like this but for a fact I do know that whenever an avatar dies a new one is born like almost instantly right? Am I missing something?

Korra and Mako's breakup is one of the best romance moments or maybe even the best moment in season 2 (body text)

I first watched TLOK with mom when I was 14 or 15 and now that I'm 20 or close to 21 I appreciate all the romance stuff LoK did even more (I did like it back then but found it messy)

Now I find it rly good how they executed it

Reason why I love Makorra (heads up: my favorite ship is Korrasami so don't attack me pls lol) is because it is... realistic.

Korra and Mako made their dating decisions in a time they weren't mature enough which is what I like about this show, they are teenagers who weren't emotionally mature for a serious relationship especially Mako who sadly is a character who had his emotions suppressed ever since he was a kid so he couldn't express himself properly unlike Korra and Asami (it's more for Korra than Asami tho) who are like emotionally impulsive and he on the other hand tends to use logic before emotions

And Korra also had a lot of stuff to deal with thru season 2 and was stressed as hell and didn't know how to deal with them and mostly directed her emotions at Mako when Mako was trying to support her but it ends up going downhill once we reach the break up at the office

Which is why I like this breakup, they both admit what they did wrong

Mako about not telling her about the breakup (although I can find a good reason for him not telling her right away)

Korra for blowing up on Mako constantly over season 2

And now that they have matured a bit they realize that this, them, doesn't work Mako nods silently when Korra says, "us, doesn't work" as a sign of agreement is a COOL DETAIL.

But they still love each other as friends thru the entirity of LoK, as one of the redditors was telling me, their relationship is pretty much realistic compared to some other relationship in other shows that tends to magically solve all their issues

We need/ed a recovery season or a comic for TLOK

I'm not trying to be depressing but I rewatched season 4 today and was thinking a season like this would have been rly good, like rly good especially for those ppl who I am part of who know how it's like to go thru a traumatic experience and stuff like this, I mean yes Korra did recover in season 4 but I'm talking about her recovery while she is in the south pole, we don't see much of that, I wish we had dedicated season for that or at least a comic, I don't know how it could work like but what I was thinking is that it starts in the 2 weeks after that battle with Zaheer during her first initial recovery and then we jump straight into the actual recovery and get to see more of Korra's PTSD like not only Zaheer but Amon, Unalaq/Vaatu etc, maybe we also see her dark avatar state too, ok this might be too much of a horror packed movie for Korra but ugh I rly feel like they missed an opportunity with this one, tell me what do you guys think.

My top 10 ranking of the most emotional moment sin LoK (I wanna hear yours too!) (also body text)

Lately I have been rewatching LoK like helllll and I gotta admit, I'm impressed (in Amon's tone) that's the only series in history that made me cry or show emotions that much lol, enough with the yapper here comes the ranking

1.Mako and Bolin with their grandma

I don't know what to say about this except like, they lived their entire lifes on the streets as orphans just to know they had another family waiting to see them that they could have also lived with? It touches me in a rly good way since it reminds me of someone I lost almost 3 years ago which is mom, and also now I appreciate Mako not crying like Bolin, the way Bolin showed his emotions was good but mako as somebody who had his emotions buried and was never able to express it showed emotions in this time in a really great way as somebody who had to become a parent figure when he was a kid to survive for his brother, you could tell he wanted to cry especially in that scene where he closed his eyes for a second (that's what I love about this show, the lil details) man he has been thru a lot, also him giving the scarf for his grandma is just, oh my god my heart melted and I cried even more while rewatching that scene and that hug..

2.Korra at the end of season 3

ok so that can be seen in many ways and why she cried at the end, at first she smiles for a second because she's happy she was able to save the air nation but at the cost of her mental and physical healthand then cries later on to also show 2 things, one she is happy the air nation is saved and 2 which is rly screwed up is that all of her life she has been training since childhood about how to be the avatar and she with a pure heart wanted to serve the world and do her job as the Avatar and then that character breaks thru each season till we reach season 3 where she is told in a way "you are useless and we don't need you" or "all of this was for nothing and I'm useless now" this show is good at character development and we saw that with Korra especially.

3.Hiroshi Sato's death

The guy might have been a bit evil in season 1 and also attacked his own daughter in that season too but he was a father who was blinded by rage and revenge for his dead wife but season 4 redeemed him as a father, I don't have much to say except I cried when I saw him die, he is a broken father.

4.Korra losing her connection to the past lives

Season 2 contributed to upcoming seasons and to Korra's character development by breaking the connection, although we didn't see much of Korra with the past lives but she has always wanted to be connected with them and needed spiritual guidance and was desperate just for her evil uncle who groomed her in a way and abused her physically and manipulated her and made her lose her trust with tenzin and her dad, and she was also so tied to the past lives that she was thinking that's her character entirety and that she was thinking like losing the past lives connection was her fault

5.Korra at the end of season 1 near that cliff

That scene I interpret in a way that she was so sad and thought about ending her life just to give the world a better avatar because she basically was like to herself "I'm useless now without my bending" until Aang came and said "when we hit our lowest point we are open for the greatest change" that's Korra's lowest point, we literally had a su*c*d* scene before that scene.

6.Tonraq with his dying daughter

that scene, agh idk what to say, I love it so much, it's that scene where it isn't the avatar for him and is his daughter and listen to how broken his voice was, and hell the fact Korra had her avatar state eyes is so sad coz he thought she died and if she died that time he wouldn't have even saw her real eyes, the music, his voice actor, everything was just amazing, and the fact Korra was looking at him as if she thought she's in the after life since she thought he's dead.

7.brothers death

Tarrlok and Noatak (Amon) are sadly characters who were abused by their father and manipulated and never had the best childhood and got turned into tools of revenge, obviously what they did wasn't good but you can see that they wanted to do something good but the way they did it was bad like how Amon believed in equality for example, but anyway Noatak coming to tarrlok and telling him that he's the only thing he has left in the world and then going on that boat just to be happy that you are with ur brother but then your brother decides to end it once and for all, sad to see that for characters that could have had some nice redemption arc.

8.Tenzin wishing his dad was there to see the air nation in it's current form

I don't know what to say except you as a son see progress that your dad didn't see and got his entire culture wiped when he was a kid and you wanted him to be there with you just to show him how far the air nation is coming to, sad, but the kids hugging tenzin was heartwarming.

9.Bumi with Aang

Again the same thing with Tenzin except he didn't have much like Kya and Tenzin had and he wasn't a bender but was trying to make his dad proud, you can feel the depression in his voice when he's saying I hope I made you proud, Kya, you do really know when somebody needs a hug.

10.Korra coming back to her family breaking down at season 2 before they got arrested

She thought her dad had something to do with the rebels and over the time lost her trust with him coz of her manipulative uncle but realized dad had nothing to do with that and wouldn't hurt his own brother, also shows that Korra isn't just an avatar and is a human like us, literally what I love about this show is that it's relatable to! And also her mom telling her you wouldn't need us and then Korra saying no, and happy hug ❤️.

That's pretty much it for my list

I'm kinda horrible at writing posts like this but it was fun!
