Avatar Wan and Raava comforting Korra during her recovery! (By jellybug_art on insta)

I gotta say, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING MY REQUEST 🙏 IT RLY MADE MY DAY.

Also check their post on insta about the art :) they do some awesome stuff.

Also in my mind I headcanon the past lives trying to comfort her :)

"It's gonna be all right, Korra. After all, you won in harmonic convergence just like me. So we are the only 2 avatars to do so. You will make it out of this one as well." I made this up ;))

I love the thought of this being possibly Asami's hair clip ❤️

Doing a rewatch of s3 rn and how come ppl say it's not Korrasami vibes XD.

Edit: I forgot to mention, I'm absolutely tear bending rn xD.

Top 10 fights throughout the series personal ranking.

absolutely bored while working so I told myself I will turn my fav fights into a ranking and why xD.

1.Unalaq vs Korra

As much hate as S2 gets from the fandom even the LoK fandom there's one thing we can't deny is that the animation thankfully in the other half is done by the original studio and they absolutely nail it. The main in person fight (not the giant one, which is ok for me but personally I prefer the normal fights before the giant thing) is one of the coolest fights in the entire series like you have an awesome setting (the atmosphere and colours) and the animation itself is what makes it insanely good. In a way it's also intense like it can make you feel xD. Like when Raava gets sucked out of Korra or like Korra almost dying in that giant fight and the outcome of the first fight and how Korra is in no shape mentally to fight Unalaq but then Tenzin saves the day and encourages her (which is also why he's my favorite mentor in any media) and the fact Unalaq is the only villain to which have in a way, achieved his goals out of all villains. They also gave us some of the nicest music too! we also see some neat technique from Mako and especially Bo when earth bending the siblings. I also admire Korra's design with fallen hair in the finale xD.

2.Korra vs the Red Lotus rematch. (Also for me it starts when they begin to poison her.)

Reason why I start it that way is becoz she's not fighting vs the red lotus alone xD, she's also fighting the poison and the Avatar state like she's fighting hard to die but not in the Avatar state which fails then the AS takes over her(she's probably the avatar to have the most control over the AS to be able to resist it for that long which we don't know the exact duration of the poisoning process which must have been long) oh and if we wanna count those she was fighting a psychological battle vs her old enemies (Vaatu could be real in a way and not an imagination but still). There's so much to love about this fight and so many details like when she screams in the Avatar state the voice is different than it was in s2 when she was in the Avatar state like she kinda had her voice stronger in s2 in the sense of it not her being the only one to talk like u can kinda feel like it's also the other past lives talking too when she says "you cannot win!" But in s3 it's her voice only coz of the fact the past lives connection was severed. Yeah it was intense as shit also like that's time I legit thought she would die and the outcome of it is just, oh wow xD. I give credit for Zaheer for not directly fighting her in the AS coz he would get his ass kicked rly hard he just drained her xD. You also go like how Korra will recover from this.

  1. Attack on The Metal Clan.

Liked the usage of Korra's pov in that whole thing like they decide to put you in it and showcase you how it feels from the character's perspective when she's getting kidnapped also. Mako waking up instantly and going for the fight before Bolin (not taking credit away from Bolin but he takes a bit of time to process things haha.)

And then you see P'Li firebending which is cool like she's not only doing combustion bending (yeah duh it was intense too xD. I mentioned this too many times but this one was probably the most intense coz i thought Korra would actually be kidnapped or the sisters will be blown up.)

4.Laghima's peak fight (PEAK IS IN ITS NAME BECAUSE ITS PEAK MIND YOU!)

Funny thing is that the fight kinda connects to season 1 with the idea of losing attachment to earthly attachments and how Korra unlocks airbending coz her being the Avatar in the series is what defined her identity which also goes for Zaheer after P'Li died and how he unlocked the ability to fly. Besides also we don't see Korra and Tonraq fight together much but we can already see their dynamic which is awesome and they know what they are doing too and also Korra doing that Azula flipping shit when Tonraq rescued her. The metal clan was cool as fuck in that fight too. oh and i absolutely thought Tonraq died sob

5.brothers vs Ghazan and Ming Hua

Cool fight, rly. If we talk about Mako after he bashes Ming Hua she doesn't surrender and jumps down but from my pov before Mako jumped I think he knew what he was getting himself into coz of the lighting and the water I'm sure he saw the water coz no way Mako would jump like this not knowing what he's getting himself into, like he was ready for the kill shot. Awesome shit buddy.

Also we see the guy f#$king terrified I love the expressions on him xD like the guy was living a horror movie irl XD.

Bolin vs Ghazan gave a mentor vs student type of vibe coz they were just giving each other a smile xD. I can see him being Bolin's earth bending mentor honestly lol.

  1. Korra vs the equalists after the tourney's finale

We see her struggle vs the equalists when she arrives to RC for the first time but probending and air bending practicing helps her in a way vs them and also most of her fight vs the lieutenant was physically coz the bending shots didn't land which is what I admire the most about that fight, she dodges nicely and lands the shots too. It's also where we begin to see the nice dynamic between Lin and Korra :)

7.Unalaq vs Tonraq (or rather mufasa vs scar if you know, you know xD.)

Eh not much to say about this from my side tbh but I like that Tonraq fights like an earth bender (aggressively) and the way he dodges. I think Tonraq is a much better water bender but he was caught before landing the punch on Unalaq. That fight almost turned freaking bloody (if I'm being honest also after Tonraq was frozen I thought his body will shatter to pieces lol.). Also Unalaq is someone who knows how to piss the living hell out of you xD.

  1. Korrasami vs the bandits

Yayy, Korrasami vibes! Seriously tho, uhhhh.. yeah no Asami was probably the best aspect of that fight, no bending but with self defense lessons and shi she put some great work. Also the bandits is something I like which we will for sure see in the new series.

  1. Battle at Zau Fo

Intense.. xD (I thought Kuvira will tear her face apart, yes I'm that dark lol.). Also I like that the 3 of Korra Opal and Jinora gave a smirk and Korra gave the best of it even when she's rusty asf she's still confident xD. Her losing is good coz she's still fighting PTSD. Kuvira's fighting style is insanely fun to watch and the fact she even rotates the ground to mess with Korra's balance and her movement which came from Su and those dancing lessons.

  1. The krew vs the earth empire forces

MY ONLY ISSUE WITH THAT ONE IS THAT ITS SO SHORT! But anyway the fight with the brothers and Jinora with Kai was the coolest like u see the earth kingdom forces using earth bending to make those hands stuff but when they realize that Bolin is an earth bender they switch to normal fighting style too

Korra using air bending for the rest of the fight is also the best thing too coz it solidifies the idea on what this season is about (building the air nation) and also Korra's element that she struggled with the most is air and she's using it as much as she could (her 2nd most used element in the season) and it kinda shows her growth too!

Yeah that's about it xD.

As much as Kuvira's empire was a horrible dictatorship, I can't deny those scenes are some of the most wholesome lol

Even that soldier next to the mecha thing was so happy 😀 (not glorifying her empire xD.) well also it's a good thing to mention that those troops are earth kingdom people who also love to help their ppl but are probably like Bolin who fell for it like this.

Also seeing that kid get some food is heartwarming coz his basic needs are being delivered.

If anything related to bending style I wanna see more in ASH is the tentacle water bending style. it's amazing. (Also another thing to mention)

Kya only used it in like one fight which tbh I would have loved to see more of her in fights and her using it. Korra used it too I think but not as often. Ming Hua was the only one to utilize this style of fighting the most. (ofc since she didn't have any arms lol) but the style itself is very damn cool. I wanna see more benders in ASH use it (which actually gets me a bit worried since we didn't see any water benders in the trailer.)

Oh and that is yk in probending with that team who cheated vs the fire ferrets they combined water with earth bending and shi like this and ngl that would be rly fking cool to see and them utilizing bending like this like imagine we got that with the red lotus in LoK.

u/Human-Application-87 — 8 days ago

How would you punish that guy if you were asked to do so?

Personally, I will let Tonraq give him the same treatment Kratos gave to Zues at the end of God of War 3 xD, because.. YEAH NO ONE HURTS MY GIRL AND IT SLIDES JUST LIKE THIS! Fits so well for me. (If you don't know anything about the context I recommend checking it on YT xD. "Kratos beats up Zues")

u/Human-Application-87 — 8 days ago

Kinda ironic for Hiroshi to go harsh on Mako like this when both share a very similar tragedy, losing loved ones to a fire bender.

Probably he didn't know but yk, just the thought of it XD.

u/Human-Application-87 — 9 days ago

A bit of a rant about the ceremony (some details I noticed also.)

So I was rewatching the last episode of s3 at some point this week and realized it wasn't only the air benders but also some of the ppl from the earth kingdom mainly because of the fact one of their family members is an air bender (but also including Yin, (Mako and Bolin's grandma) and her family.

I was always kinda saddened that the brothers weren't outside to greet Korra considering they are a big part of her journey and all of that but I just came to the realization perhaps they could have been there with their family and also setting up everything and also being with their grandma? (Also feels like her family is the only earth kingdom citizens in the shot but who knows) Also we see that when they are waiting to greet Korra there are still some air benders entering.so perhaps they were just in there helping with all the stuff. Idk just a random thought that for me could answer why Bolin and Mako weren't outside.

Also since that's a formal celebration type thing it could also mean mako and bolin's family were given the honorary to attend this one since I feel like there weren't any air benders from their family since they didn't mention one only one they mentioned was their neighbor.

Again I'm still sad Bolin and Mako weren't outside to greet Korra but that makes it feel less worse XD.

Also hopefully I don't get hated for this analysis post like the last one coz I do those for fun and not some bs xD.

Edit: oh yeah I can feel it already with the downvotes.

Eye movement can say a lot about Asami. (scene interpretation)

Now I could be making up BS at this point but considering the show didn't give us much of Asami and how she dealt with her trauma and shit

So in that scene Asami's eyes land on both Senna and Tonraq when they go for Korra to hug her and give her a kiss. (Now one could say the animators could have just ignored it and left her eyes fixed and not make her do anything just standing there with not even slight movement, but they did.)

The way I interpret that scene in a way is bittersweet because it could be her reminded of her mom from Senna in a way Korra is getting support and love from somebody Asami doesn't have anymore and to Tonraq be reminded of a dad she could have had spent the time with if it wasn't for him betraying her in s1. (Happens to me a lot hence it is one of the reasons why I interpret the scene that way.) Mind you her face was somewhat bittersweet and her eyes were softened.

Idk but I feel like eye movement says a lot more than mouth movement (I would love to mention also her face in that scene looked somewhat bittersweet and emotional, well duh because of course the state Korra is in and that could also be a reason for it.) and that's just s random thought when rewatching that scene but that's just me probably since Asami wasn't explored that much. That was a subtle change on her face sure but it could also mean alot.

Edit: dunno what's up with the hate over some scene interpretation I had in mind :)

2nd edit: the reason I interpret the scene that way is also because if Asami's bittersweet look on her face and again, her focus changes to the parents and idk why the madness in the comments for no reason xD. Like if you don't agree then sure but put it in a better way.

How to shatter a family? Tell them your only daughter is the Avatar!

Can't think of how much self loathing and self hate Tonraq was going through when he saw Korra get captured and almost died in his hands (mainly because he let Korra go face Zaheer) or the fact Senna was away in the South Pole when getting the news and the way she reacted. Which is a shame the show didn't show us more of Senna in s3.(Which reminds me, we really need a spin off or sth like this around either Korra's 3 weeks in RC after the poisoning from Korra's perspective and other characters perspectives or a movie about her recovery in the south pole.) I think that would be rly cool. Korra alone was one of (if not) the best episodes in the series and I think a spin off like this will be rly nice (I doubt we will get this but that's just an idea which I hope comes true)

She's the Avatar and they gotta deal with it.

Edit: 2nd shot I like so much also due to the fact Lin starts caring about Korra after their s1 shebang and more of that in season 3 where she actually cares an awful lot about her and panics for her and hell even her near death saddened her

u/Human-Application-87 — 11 days ago

The first time I actually see Mako giving a smirk in a serious situation lol.

Usually that's something I would never expect out of him since he always takes shit seriously. he looks so adorable in that scene xD.

Edit: for reference that's the scene when they were searching for Korra and it turned out the Equalists didn't capture her xD

u/Human-Application-87 — 12 days ago

Feel like Korra airbended with her feet to neglect some of the damage from that fall.

I'm sure she did air bend in that scene and there are visuals of her doing so and the air bending sound.

u/Human-Application-87 — 14 days ago

Korra struggling is one of the stuff that makes the show good.

Before I get jumped and get told that I blame her for every fight she loses. No I'm not saying that xD.

ok so that's not gonna be a defense post about LoK but I will mention that a good amount of people go like "if it was Aang he would have won that fight. Oh he would have bashed them." ok let's just pretend that's true for a second xD. Then what?

What I'm trying to say is that the Avatar is still a human after all and they do definitely need help at some point which is the aspect I like about LoK (Aang definitely did need help at times), it isn't a power fantasy show. Korra does deserve the help in the times she needed it like vs the Red Lotus. She was already fighting them, the poison, the Avatar State and having to deal with the fact they her dad almost died (she thought he died so that affects her mental). That's a lot.

Vs Zaheer when she was chained up and still despite that put a great fight considering her disadvantage.

Vs Kuvira when she still has PTSD and a lot of stuff to work on which makes the show realistic more than it should!

Or Korra losing the past lives which I don't blame her for but how exactly was she also supposed to react or anyone when she sees some creepy shit coming out of a guy's mouth and god knows what it's about to do.

Or vs Amon which was a whole psychological war also (I do relate to her as a victim of psychological torture so it's absolutely real for her to struggle xD.)

(I can go about more but I think that's enough XD.)

It's a good thing if a show can make you feel for a character as well and actually relate to them. Like seeing Korra being chained up in thet cave either made me furious or terrified and the poison process was and is still extremely painful to watch.

Oh yeah I love Aang btw so I'm not hating on him with that post XD

u/Human-Application-87 — 14 days ago

Love the diversity in Zau Fo. It isn't all just earth/metal benders.

One nice detail I noticed when rewatching the episode where they attempt to kidnap Korra is that one of the guards uses fire bending and like a moron at first I said oh the guy can bend both elements and I was like oh yeah.. no he can't lol.

Edit: it also says a lot about Suyin and how she's open to change and new opportunities like I can imagine those fire benders seeking refugee here or something like this too like we saw with her chef or Varrick. Who knows.

How do I make Reddit use the gallery app instead of the file manager?

As I mentioned. I would love for it to be that way coz I struggle to find images with the normal file manager and have to go through folders just to use an image in a comment when in the meanwhile all the photos and stuff show up in the gallery.

If you could use the F word in LoK where would you use it? Here's a set amount of moments from me xD.

  1. "Yes, and the most difficult part was watching my daughter traipse around with a fucking fire bending street rat like you." Definitely will show his hate for benders (I mean the guy made it clear but that would have made his statement stronger xD.)

  2. "Will you ever shut the fuck up, Bolin?" I might sound harsh but they clearly had enough BS xD especially Mako from earlier when he heard Bolin talk about how Aiwei could be invisible xD.

  3. A "fuck you" from Korra when she was fire bending from her mouth to show the amount of hate for the guy that was in her for thinking he killed her father.

  4. "I'm tired Katara... I'm so fucking tired." I don't even need to explain it.

  5. "Still think I'm a fucking half baked Avatar?"

  6. "What the fuck happened here?" Lin when she entered the office xD.

  7. "I think I would have noticed if there were a fucking factory underneath my house."

So what about you? xD

u/Human-Application-87 — 15 days ago

I can understand why they never added the brothers in that scene but why not Katara?

For a meeting like this I do understand it's a formal meeting with basically leaders/important people and their families and as someone I was talking to said Asami is there because she was taking care of Korra otherwise she would have been inside in the temple with the others. So Mako and Bolin are not there but rather inside so I get that.... But Katara? Considering she was still alive she should have been there just like Zuko. She was even working for RC back then too and given the moment it's Jinora's ceremony and her becoming a master and seeing the air nation which was Aang's dream. And oh for Korra as well considering she is literally Aang's reincarnation. So seeing the reincarnation of someone you love in a state like this has to be sad as well

Might be me making a big deal out of it but just to get my mind out of thoughts xD.

Edit: also I think she had the time to reach to RC considering Korra was there for 3 weeks and she needed a healer since first she's the Avatar and they needed to take care of her and 2nd Kya was badly injured as well.
