[for hire] developer with 30 years experience

I fix vibe-coded apps.

You built something with AI. It worked in the demo. Then a real user showed up and it fell apart — auth that isn't really auth, a database anyone can read, API keys sitting in the browser, features that break the second someone does something you didn't expect.

And now you're stuck, because you can't debug code you didn't really write.

That's the job I do. I build with AI too — but I can read what's underneath and actually fix it. Next.js, React, Supabase, front to back. I've shipped a lot of apps solo, so I've seen every way one breaks.

Flat quote. Fast. No lectures about how you built it.

Here's what I build: github.com/profullstack

Stuck on something? DM me the problem, or email \[your email\] — I'll tell you straight whether I can fix it.

is pro thinking really just automating a google search experience from start to finish?

I just smoked a joint and I'm watching it...and its basically just searching the web, reading shit, and then coming to an answer. That's all I ever used google for and I did it 200+ times a day back in the 2000's

is there any sort of coding over voice?

Like you call an 800 number or something and tell it what product features you want (you've already connected accounts and stuff) and then it creates a PRD -> creates an issue on github -> create a PR implmeenting the PRD -> write tests etc. etc. and then gets autoapproved once all requiremenets are met??

DOes anything like that exist?

Reddit's ban hammer has changed...

My account is now being autobanned from sites i comment in. They claim its an anti-bot moderation plugin but I'm not a bot. I sometimes cross post a lot lately...would that be why I'm getting nbanned or did they change something?

Is paying $2/pull request too high?

I’m paying about $2 for any bugs found and a pr to fix it I get like 20-30 applicants it’s all agents and bots of course but I’m thinking $1 now is better

The problem is if these 20-30 applicants I accept only 2-3 actually do it and follow up to be paid I need to some how filter out the garbage if anyone has any ideas

The site is ugig and it’s foss

The funnny thing is if I offer 500 sats (about .39 cents) the same thing happens lol

I do have to check for malware in PRs though

One of my projects is seeing a lot of PRs submitted

Too many for me to keep up with but a lot of them have conflicts, how do you mitigate this? if a pr is open with no response to conflicts do you just close it after a week or what?

Since some are asking https://github.com/profullstack/sh1pt

What do you think of this recruitment process?

Before I even applied I had to download a test. This actually doesn't bother me. That saves me time and energy. They also require you submit the completed test and record a video about yourself. I always deleted this shit in the past but maybe its time to start doing that stuff....beats inverting binary trees on the whiteboard.

What's to stop me from just stealing open source code, rewriting it with AI and calling it my own?

Do any of the FOSS licenses address this (sounds like patent infringment maybe). Just curious what the implications are.

My mom (81) refuses to learn librewolf....

She's got a windows 2003 (cancel or allow????) laptop lol. i gave her a free modern laptop with ubuntu and she just won't do it. she's made that tech companies keep changing their interfaces.

should I just give up?

edit; sorry guys i meant libreoffice not librewolf lol
