So, her backstory is that she was blindfolded on a cliff with her partner who was possibly going to propose to her. But then she died from a lightning strike/the fall after the cliff broke from the lightning strike (according to the wiki/what i remember from my first and only watch of her episode).

My theory is, what if it wasn’t fully an accident? What if Shelby’s partner didn’t want to marry her so they were planning to kill her by shoving her off the cliff? But, because of the lightning strike/cliff breaking, it killed her before they could.

This could be a cool plot twist since, from what i remember, Shelby seemed to care about her partner. Learning that the person didn’t actually care about her in return could be really interesting. My guess for her wish (if she wins) would be to see her partner again so, if this is true, it would be really sad and she would have to rethink what her wish would be.

When I was little, i remember one song that I liked and that, according to my mom when I asked her earlier today, she had filmed a video of me singing this song with my grandma. I couldn’t look it up since I didn’t know what it was called. I also could only remember that part of it wasn’t in english so that didn’t help. For years, I would remember this song and be curious about what it was. But I still could never find it. I gave up and almost completely forgot about it.

Today was my grandma’s funeral where we buried her and my grandpa’s ashes. Before we put their urns in the ground, Mom played a song. As she did, I thought it sounded vaguely familiar. Then I realized: this was the song I had been wanting to know what it was called!

The song was “The Prayer” by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli. It was one of my grandma’s favorite songs. I finally figured it out after around 10 years of wondering what it was.

We’re burying grandma Saturday with grandpa. He had died about 20 years ago and was cremated (I never knew him since he passed away before I was born. But, from what I know from stories, they seemed to have loved each other very much). Grandma wanted to be cremated and buried with him, so that’s what we’re going to do. can’t believe it’s already almost time to do it. I know it’s what grandma wanted. But I don’t want to say goodbye again.

We had the memorial at the end of April. That was hard enough. I cried so much that day. Now I have to say goodbye again as we bury her with her husband.

I almost cried thinking about if I should say something before or after we bury her.

What could I possibly say to express how much I miss her? What would I even say? That she was right I would be quiet after she was gone? How I hate that I miss the woman I consider to be my best friend? How I can’t listen to the song “Rainbow Connection” by the Muppets without thinking of her? That I keep thinking of the stupid phrases she used to say that we made up of her for? How I miss the texts she always sent basically every day? How crazy it was that the woman who was there since day one of my life died on my damn birthday?

I don’t even know how to word all of this in a speech for that day. I honestly don’t want to because part of me thinks that would mean accepting that it’s actually happening, that she’s gone, and we are burying her and there’s no getting her back.

I hate this. I wish this wasn’t my reality. I miss you so much, Gram.

All I know from watching Scott, Cleo, and some of Pearl’s pov (just have 2 more episodes left of her pov before I move on to either Shubble or Owen’s povs) is that he was the crazy guy who believed in vampires but everyone (except scott and Owen since they were the original vampires and I guess Cleo since her mom was a vampire) thought he was crazy. Avid got turned into a vampire, eventually fell in love with Scott, and then got murdered (can’t remember who did it. I think it was Pyro but I could be wrong).

Am I missing anything? I don’t want to watch his videos due to what I know about him. Is there any lore I’m missing from his videos?

I need help creating a villain for book 1 in a series I’m working on. This story’s world is full of magical wolves. Each villain (it’ll be a trilogy) experienced something that made them corrupted and lash out.

One example is book 2’s villain who was originally a powerless wolf and he blamed the gods for not healing his ill father before he died. then the villain became corrupted by dark magic which he used to destroy one kingdom before being banished. Book 3’s villain is this wolf’s best friend who blamed the 2 gods who banished his friend instead of trying to help him. This villain then goes on to destroy many other kingdoms before being banished himself.

I tried to make the villain for book 1 the son of an evil god. The evil god is the main villain of my original universe, but then i decided that his son wouldn’t fit the theme of the villains. The villains for book 2 and 3 both have the theme of “something happened that caused them to lash out and hurt others”. This original villain’s motivation was just “let me corrupt the world to help my father who’s an evil god”. It didn’t fit the theme of the other 2. This guy is still going to appear in book 1, but not as the main antagonist (he will be a minor one, but not the main bad guy the protagonists will have to defeat).

I want book 1’s villain to have something like the 2 I’ve already thought of, but idk what it should be. One idea I had was book 2 villain’s father, but he died and he was a good guy so it can’t be him.

Do you guys have any other ideas for who book 1’s villain should be?

one bit of vampire lore that I heard was that vampires need to be invited into your home to enter it. I’m wondering, if a human told a vampire they could enter their home, would that apply to that one time? or would that one invitation mean that the vampire could always enter that human’s home?

My current style is basically just comfy clothes (hoodies, flannels, etc.) I’m not really feminine (I hate makeup and only agree to wear dresses since I doubt my mom would ever let me wear a suit). I know I’m a demigirl (she/they pronouns) and not a boy since I tried experimenting with he/him pronouns around my friends a while ago but it just didn’t really fit. My hair is already pretty short but i plan to cut it a bit shorter next time I get a haircut.

I’ve been kinda thinking about trying to dress a bit more masculine since college is coming up and I want to actually have a decent style. I’m currently not really happy with my current style (I still like some of my shirts. But I just want to try something different).

I’ve seen images on masc lesbians on here and TikTok and part of me kinda wants to dress like that too. Problem: my mom has no idea I’m a lesbian and I don’t know if she’ll support and I currently live with her. So, if I try to do that, she may know. I’m posting this now so, when I’m finally ready to start buying clothes to try out this style, I’ll know what to get.

I’m wondering who should I watch next. I can’t decide between Zombie Cleo’s pov, Pearl’s pov, or Shubble’s pov. Which one from this list (or someone else in the SMP) do you guys recommend I watch next?

I also may watch the other members eventually as well. But which member’s pov should I watch next after I’m done watching Scott’s pov?

I just finished the first draft of another one of my stories!!! I’ve only done this once before but I’m so happy I did it! Only took me about 5 months too (not counting April since I stopped writing for a month after my grandma’s death). I’m so happy with how it turned out.

The last first draft took me a year and 3 months to complete so I’m happy this didn’t take as long.

It’s currently 62k words and 242 pages long.

My grandma unexpectedly passed away on my birthday this year (April 8th so it’s almost been 2 months). My uncle lived with her and now has her house. He’s been doing a garage sale recently to get rid of her things (and some of his but a lot of hers) and I’m a bit upset.

It feels too soon, you know? So much is changing. Grandma passing away, high school ending, this, college starting in a few months.

I understand that this may be his way of coping (like a distraction or getting rid of things to move on). But I’m not ready for that house to look different. Where will the couch that Grandma had for 40+ years go that she always sat on? Where will the stuff from her bedroom go? It’s going to look so different and I’m not ready.

My mom, twin, and I managed to save some stuff (some dressers and clothes) so not all of it’s going away. But this still sucks. If she didn’t pass away, we wouldn’t be getting rid of those things.

To make matters worse, mom is planning on burying Grandma’s ashes sometime this summer. Currently her ashes are sitting on a table in the living room in a box. I’m fine with it stayed there. Then she’s still sorta here.

I don’t know how to deal with these changes. I usually deal with it by ignoring it, but I can’t do that now. I don’t know what to do. I want to be mad at my uncle for getting rid of her stuff, mad at mom for considering moving the box of ashes and burying her, and mad at my grandma for leaving us. But I know it’s not their fault. Grandma didn’t want to die (especially not on my birthday) and I doubt my uncle wants to get rid of her stuff either. My uncle is doing what he can and my mom doesn’t want to bury her but that’s what she wanted.

I’m just struggling with all the change and I’m trying to not bottle it all up. Typing it here kinda helps. If anyone has any advice here on how I can deal with these changes, I would appreciate it.

I have a random writing question for you guys that I came up with when working on an information document for my stories.

Context: so, a while ago, I was working on putting all my documents for each story into one large one so it’s easier for me to use since it’s all one connected universe. Anyway, I had always imagined one of the gods as a male. But, when I went to move the gods information document to the large one, I noticed that one of the gods was labeled as a female. I have no memory of doing that.

So, has anyone else on here who’s made an information document for their stories noticed something that they didn’t remember putting on there?

I’m so tired. I got 5 hours of sleep yesterday and now can’t sleep again after 1 (or was it 2? Can’t remember) melatonin. My twin doesn’t care that I could hear her from my room. I’m so tempted to take her phone and break it. She just doesn’t care. She apparently can’t call people in the day because she “does things during the day” while (according to her) I “sit in bed and rot.”

1: I have mental health issues which she knows about and they had kinda gotten a bit worse since grandma died. 2: I don’t do nothing. I write. I work on my stories which I will someday publish into books which may be a source of income. 3: I don’t go out to hang with people often because I am an introvert. I like hanging out in my room alone.

I recorded what I could hear (not great audio but I tried) and sent it to her. Apparently she could not hear what it said so I’m going to blast it in the morning since there is stuff there it’s just shitty quality. We had a whole argument through text about this situation. I can’t fucking wait for her to leave. I don’t want to deal with this all summer.

For the past 2 nights, she has been calling people (I’m guessing either her boyfriend or one of our friends) late at night. Our rooms are next to each other so I can hear when she talks (though I can’t hear the exact words, just a muffled voice which is still annoying) and when she laughs.

I’ve been trying to fix my sleep schedule. I currently try to fall asleep at around 11:30pm-midnight since it’s summer now (which is better than my previous bedtime of 2am). For the past 2 nights, when I’ve tried to go to sleep, I had heard her talking and laughing from her room. I texted her and asked her if she could be quiet since I was trying to sleep. She responded with, “I’m not going to end my fun early just because you can’t sleep.” She also said that I should just “sleep with headphones in.”

BITCH, YOURE THE REASON I CANT SLEEP!

Also, sleeping with headphones in when you lay on your side to sleep is very uncomfortable. So, I can’t do that. I have a fan in my room which makes some noise, but it’s not loud enough to muffle the sounds coming from my twin’s room.

I texted her again last night when she did it again. But she ignored me. Because of her, I keep falling asleep at 3-4am. I’m so tired that I keep imagining myself grabbing her phone and either dropping it from the loft or throwing it down the stairs to make her shut up. I won’t do that, but I’m getting desperate here.

What can I do to make her stop? I tried talking to my twin, but she doesn’t care. I’ve considered telling our mom. I was going to tell her yesterday but, by the time i remembered, she was already asleep. Im going to try to tell her about this once she gets back from work (if i remember). Meanwhile, what can i do to make my twin shut up at night?

I recently graduated high school and will start college in a few months. I know a lot of people who have dated in high school, but I was not one of them. I only knew of 2 girls who also liked girls in my school but one stated dating a guy and the other turned out to be toxic. So, I had never dated anyone. I don’t think I’ve ever had a crush on anyone either.

I feel like so many people date in high school so they get some dating/relationship experience. But I haven’t had that yet. I mean, I know some things about dating like “cheating is wrong” and stuff like that. But I’ve never actually dated before.

I guess i’m just wondering if that’s a normal or bad thing for someone heading into college to not have any dating experience. Will that affect my chances of getting a girlfriend someday? Or will it be fine? (Am I overthinking this? Maybe.)

I’m free from high school! That happened yesterday but I was busy and didn’t have time to post this then. I’m so happy! The last month has been not great so I’m glad it’s over. Time for college and adulthood!

I miss her so much. I’ve tried to not think about it but that’s hard. I wish she was still here. We were so close. She’s gone. This isn’t fair. I hate this.

I’ve been wondering this for a while. we only know so much about dinosaurs from their fossils and not every fossil skeleton that’s dug up is complete or intact. Some prehistoric creatures have only had some fossilized remains found (like the megalodon).

how do scientists know if a fossilized skeleton is complete or not? is it just an estimate based on currently living animals? or is there another way they dec if a fossil is complete?
