To my fellow roleplayers,

Since I met several of you on the original Marvel Rivals RP subreddit, more of you after that on Jeanieverse subreddits, and then more on the X-Men Roleplay, I've gotten to know several awesome people. And you're all very dear to me, and I've grown to care for most if not all of you.

I have not told you this, but I've been on a waiting list for surgery for many months now. I've had an ear issue for a long time, and they've found a fix for it that will hopefully aid me in recovering or at least maintaining my hearing in my left ear.

My surgery is on Friday.

I didn't tell you prior to this, because I didn't want to worry any of you. I'm telling you now, and hope this message finds all its readers well.

The success rate is high, although the chance of death is still existent, given the close proximity to my brain. A wrong move and I could die.

I am hopeful and optimistic that I will live through it, survive like the epic guy I am.

Thank you for all the fun memories, the various stories: Carnage and Shriek marrying, Rogue and Gambit marrying, friendships and interactions, etc - these are my best memories.

Thank you for the fun interactions. The friendships that we formed bridges to make. The funny moments where we're sorta at each others' throats but we're also not(?), haha. Thanks. For all of it.

Nightwing and Starfire are (or rather, SHOULD BE) as sacred(?) as Peter x MJ. It's an iconic pairing that's, in my honest opinion, been ruined by DickBabs. I'm not hating on DickBabs, it's just that firstly, DickKory shouldn't have ended, same as Peter x MJ. When I found out about this (I wasn't big on being heavily invested in comics until recently, before then I was just reading for funsies whatever I could get from the Marvel section at school or the library) it was actually heartbreaking.

Do comic book writers simply not wanna please readers?

I get it, DickBabs has a sizeable fanbase. But COME ON! It came a decade later, and imo shouldn't have existed. Not to mention, the lot of you can get toxic as heck when someone expresses their opinion. I only dislike DickBabs because it replaced DickKory. DickKory was great. And then you got the whole shenanigans of DC writers mischaracterizing characters.

I mean, seriously? The Batman I know and love would never say "The thing with the alien won't last." Bro, what? It's so out of character. Are they that desperate to push DickBabs that they'll do that with Batman?
