How do I not feel bad about this

I just finished my junior year in school and I am majoring in forensic science with an interest in DNA analysis and forensic bio. And I have not had an internship yet. For context crime labs don’t offer internships to freshman and sophomores due to accreditation rules. My sophomore year I had an internship with my local police department in records which was good but not great. Also I ended up applying to intern in crime labs during sophomore year and didn’t get anything. Junior year comes around and I get part time lab job on campus which is great experience but nothing dna related. Also ended up applying for interning in a crime lab again and didn’t get. I am doing research with a prof fall semester which is most likely gonna be dna based. That will be good experience but like it’s not an internship. It sucks seeing other ppl get paid stuff when I can’t even get anything. And like internships in forensic science don’t even pay. It’s worse bcz like my brother doing finance and got a remote internship that is paying him 18$ an hour which is more than I make at my job per hour on campus. Makes me wish I had chose a different field.

Masters

How helpful is a masters in forensic science? Once I finish my undergrad which is already in forensic science I would want to start working either as an analyst or a lab tech. However, my parents are like u shd go to for masters and u can get better jobs post grad and maybe you can manage a lab instead of working in it. Which I don’t want to do. I want to be a forensic scientist in a lab. So any advice would be greatly appreciate. Note: masters program I am considering is Arcadia University masters in forensic science with forensic bio specification. And career goal is to work for DNA in Seattle crime lab.

What would be considered too much/ not allowed?

For context I am the forensic science field. So I had an idea of what if I make a game / simulation that teaches forensic science concepts. I was thinking something similar to gizmos in the sense there will be a packet with it and the students would fill it out. It would take them through the whole csi ( crime scene investigation ) process, the whole lab process, and then the whole court process. My questions are 1.) do you guys see a use for this in your science classes? Like is this something you guys would like to use? and 2.) when I make the simulated crime that would be used in this game how violent am I allowed to go? I don’t plan to do anything S***al A***se related but like is murder ok? Is being shot by a gun ok? If so let me know if not also let me know.

Question about jobs

So I am currently almost done with my bachelors degree in forensic science. ( have one year left ). I found out one of the requirements to be a forensic scientist at the agency I want to work at, you need a bachelors or masters from an accredited degree. However, my degree is not accredited since I didn’t know anything about fepac accreditation when I was applying. Now the question is, if I get a job as a crime lab technician in that lab and in the dna section( I have a part time job on campus which is giving me experience for a lab tech position ) . Would I still be able to get the job as a forensic scientist in the DNA section even though I do not have an accredited degree?

Should I send a follow up email?

For context I am a 21 F forensic science major and was looking for something for the summer. Internship didn’t work out bcs got rejected but found a lab that I cold emailed on April 29th. The following day I got an email back saying while we don’t have an official volunteer program send me your resume, a paragraph about your career goals, and what you want experience In. Then I will ask the lab if they have any openings / need help. I did this within a few hours of received that email and didn’t hear anything back. I ended up sending a follow up email on May 5th. In which I got a response saying she took some days off for her birthday and hasn’t checked emails but she will get to it soon. I responded saying that was fine and wishes her a happy belated birthday. Then on Thursday of last week may 7th I got an email from her saying that she sent an email to the lab and will let me know what they say. However I have not heard anything back yet. I was wondering if I should just wait or if I should send a follow up email.

So as the title suggests, I am intreated in making my own game. I have an idea for an educational game / simulation based on my field ( forensic science). I think this would be a great idea since not many things like this exist. I don’t to go into details here but if anyone is interested id be happy to explain separately and hope no one tajes my idea lol. The thing is , I have no game design / coding experience. Meaning I would have to hire someone to help me with the coding. So I was wondering if anyone has any advice on how I would do that?

Hey guys so I am 21F majoring in forensic science. And for a little context didn’t know about FEPAC accreditation when applying for undergrad so the program I am in is not accredited. When researching fepac accredited grad programs I came across Arcadia University which has a FEPAC accredited program. I am drawn to it because of the smaller campus size, the partnership with the CFSRE, and the fact you get to intern with the CSFRE as part of your degree program. Was wondering if anyone has any more advice on the program / on the school in general.

Hey guys so ran into an issue with a paint by numbers I ordered. so as you can tell by the title the canvas is way too small for the image. for some context this paint by numbers was the first one I ever ordered. I thought about starting this hobby for a while and decided I have some extra spending money this month might as well bite the bullet. Upon doing research I couldn’t really find anything I liked so I decided to do a custom pbn. I found a seller on Etsy selling for a decent price and decided to go with it. upon picking the size I decided to go with an 8 by 12 for my first one to Yk keep it small since I am trying the hobby out. However, upon opening my package and looking at the canvas I realized the picture size does not fit the canvas size, and the numbers are so small. Not small as in oh I need extra light to see or I can zoom in from a picture on my phone. I mean like small small to point I can’t even read the numbers in some sections / can’t even tell if certain sections have numbers. Before purchasing I did some research and saw that kits tend to come with a paper showing a map of all the numbers but this kit did not at all. This seller had an option for a bigger canvas which was 12 by 16 which would have been much better for the photo size. I do agree part of it is my fault for not doing more research. However part of me wishes the seller said something about hey I think this canvas size is a bit small for your image. Especially since it is a custom piece. So now I have no clue what to do. If anyone has any advice please let me know? Should i try to paint it anyways and guess on the sections I can’t see? Should donate this one, wait till pay day and buy a new one? Should I contact the seller?
