Obviously, it was unfair to include Issues because it may legitimately be the best nu metal album ever made. But my hot take is that Slipknot is better to listen to in full.

Why are more pop fans getting into metal lately?

I’ve been noticing something kinda interesting recently and I’m curious if anyone else has seen this too.

It feels like more people who mainly listen to pop are starting to get into heavier stuff, like System of a Down, Deftones, even bands like Meshuggah. I’ve seen it in playlists, comments, and just online in general.

Not gatekeeping, I’m just wondering what could be causing it.

Would be interested to hear what you all think.
