There is no alternative to cicaplast ??

Hi guys,

I am looking for a cicaplast replacement to save costs per ml but I can’t - neither in the west nor in KBeauty or Jbeauty - find a better product.

A lot of creams are great for mosturiuzing etc, but they’re not really built like Cicaplast. Cicaplast Baume B5+ is more of a derm-style repair balm: high-dose panthenol + madecassoside + zinc/manganese/copper + a protective silicone film all in one system.

I have seen some alternatives here like mixa or bepanthen but if you take and compare the ingredients at face value cicaplast comes out as the winner because at least on aspect (anti inflammatory, repair, etc) is missing or not as strong as cicaplast

combining multiple wound-repair actives at strong concentrations is almost unique to cicaplast

Is there really no alternative to cicaplast? The closest competitor I found is cicabio….

Change my view: Asian beauty has no alternative to cicaplast

Hi guys,

I am looking for a cicaplast replacement to save costs but I can’t - neither in the west nor in KBeauty or Jbeauty - find a better product.

A lot of Asian creams are great for calming and daily barrier support, but they’re not really built like Cicaplast. Cicaplast Baume B5+ is more of a derm-style repair balm: high-dose panthenol + madecassoside + zinc/manganese/copper + a protective silicone film all in one system.

Most AB products focus on being gentle and hydrating rather than combining multiple wound-repair actives at strong concentrations, so they end up feeling similar but not really equivalent in “repair power.”

Is there really no alternative to cicaplast? The closest competitor I found is cicabio….

PN into lips?

Hi guys,

I wanted to ask if anyone injected PN/PDRN like Plinest or Rejuran Healer into their lips.

Any tips, experiences or outcomes you want to share?

I am a male and don’t to add volume but pure lip quality and hydration so I thought about PN as an alternative to filler

Rate my Aqualyx routine

This is no advice. I just want to hear what you guys think of this and if it’s legit process I developed ?

Full Aqualyx PROCESS

Aqualyx Submental

Healthy adult male, genetic submental fat that doesn’t shift with weight loss. No autoimmune issues, no bleeding disorder, no infection, no blood thinners.

What will be used
1 vial of Aqualyx (8 mL).
Items needed
• Sterile nitrile gloves
• Alcohol swipes + sterile gauze
• 29G × 8mm needles at 1 mL syringes
• Surgical skin marker
• Cold pack wrapped in kitchen paper

The plan
Setup
• upright, head neutral

Marking
Pre test: put your head back. The areas that are still pinch able are roughly the good areas
.. if you can’t really pinch it, it’s red zone … this way the triangle dots naturally will emerge when marking with sterile pen
• Superior border: 2cm below the mandibular jawline (no-go zone = marginal mandibular nerve buffer)
• Inferior border: hyoid bone (above Adam’s apple — stop here, no injections lower)
• Lateral borders: medial to facial artery pulse / anterior SCM
• Grid: 1x1cm grid for 0.2 mL per dot (0.2 is better bc it’s safer if sth goes wrong meanwhile 0.4in the wrong spot is overkill ), inside the pinchable fat band only
- 1x1cm grid is also kybella official

Vial prep
• Alcohol wipe the rubber stopper
• Draw 0.2ml into each 1mlsyringe via 29G × 8mm

Injection
• wipe face of with alcohol swabs and put on nerile gloves - Pinch and lift away submental tissue with the other hand
• 90° straight in, ~8 mm depth (mid-pinch)
• 0.2 mL per dot, slow (!!) push…
• Next dot, repeat, redraw as needed or if you feel a sharp pain
• Total: ~6-8mL across the grid

After
• Gauze on each spot if it bleeds

•	Final wipe with alcohol after all dots

- cold pack
-
Aftercare
• No massage 48 h
• No gym 24 h
• No alcohol 48 h
• No NSAIDs (the inflammation is the mechanism, don’t kill it)
• Sleep slightly elevated 2–3 nights
• Cold packs on/off first 24 h
• Swelling, tenderness, bruising 3–14 days is normal

Follow-up
4 weeks → reassess with photos → session 2 if needed.

Areas to avoid
• Too close to jawline/mandible → marginal mandibular nerve (asymmetric smile, lip weakness)
• Too superficial (dermis) → skin damage, nodules, ulceration
• Too deep (platysma/muscle) → pain, inflammation, poor result
• Near major vessels along mandibular border → facial/submental artery territory
• Below / near Adam’s apple → fat thins out, deeper structures, no aesthetic benefit

Target
Soft, pinchable pre-platysmal subcutaneous fat under the chin — the thick band between chin and hyoid that you can feel when you tilt your head back. Stay inside this band: not up into the jawline, not down toward the Adam’s apple where the fat disappears.

Safe injection principles
• Pinchable fat only
• Anatomy-aware (jaw buffer above, hyoid limit below, facial artery laterally)
• Pinch-and-lift on every dot

Rate my MN routine

I created this routine based on research and scientific evidence. I opted for max 1mm since a bit more collagen-stimulation this does not justify risk of hyperpigmentation or major issues. I don’t have access to PRP so according to my research sterile HA is the second best option serum wise.

Please rate my routine and tell me what are the strengths and weaknesses and if you think I’m a good to go.

I do have money for professional MN but tbh I don’t think it’s so complicated and - in general- the whole esthetic industry is a huge rip off. Medfluencers are just the tip of the iceberg. That’s why I created this routine in trying to optimize

I used Claude to improve structure and grammar.

Microneedling Protocol

Depth Map
• Cheeks / chin / jawline: 0.75–1.0 mm
• Forehead: 0.5-0.75 mm
• Nasal area: 0.25–0.5 mm
• Perioral: 0.25–0.5 mm
• Periorbital / alar nose / neck: 0.25 mm

Items
• Derminator 2 (pen)
• Sterile single-use cartridge
• Sterile HA (2.5 ml ampoule, HYRON)
• 70% alcohol wipes (device body only)
• Sterile gauze
• Gentle cleanser (LRP Toleriane Foaming)
• Lidocaine 5% cream
• Plastic film
• Headband (optional)

Pre-procedure
• Stop retinoids: 3–5 days
• Ensure stable, non-irritated skin barrier
- make sure nothing counterinsications like big pimples, compromised barrier , sun burn , Rosacea eczema etc

Process

  1. Preparation (Skin + Lidocaine)
    • Apply thin lidocaine layer to target zones only if needed
    • Seal with plastic film for 20-45min depending on pain profile
    • Remove completely with water
    • Ensure full removal (no residue remaining)
    • Cleanse with gentle cleanser
    • Pat dry with sterile gauze
    • Hair secured away from face (headband optional)

  2. Device Prep
    • Wash hands thoroughly
    • Disinfect device body with alcohol swabs
    • Open sterile cartridge immediately before use
    • Wash hands again before contact

  3. Serum Allocation (2.5 ml structured use)
    • 1.0 ml → pre-glide layer (entire face)
    • 1.0 ml → during procedure rehydration
    • 0.5 ml → post-procedure finish layer

  4. Microneedling Technique
    Pass structure
    • 2 passes per zone total
    • Horizontal + vertical only
    • Diagonal pass optional depending on pain profile and erythema response
After each pass, erythema response is checked to see if depth was good enough.

    Zone order

  5. Forehead

  6. Cheeks

  7. Jawline / chin

  8. Nose

  9. Perioral / periorbital (last, lightest zones)

    Depth logic
    • Start lower depth on first pass
    • Increase only if erythema response is insufficient
    • Thin zones remain conservative at all times

    Serum use during procedure
    • Maintain light continuous hydration (no pooling)
    • Add micro-drops only when drag appears
    • Avoid over-saturation

    Endpoint Rules
    • Controlled erythema = target endpoint
    • Pinpoint bleeding = rare, acceptable in thick zones only
    • Sheet bleeding = overtreatment → reduce depth or pass intensity next session

  10. Post-procedure
    • Apply final 0.5 ml sterile HA thin layer
    • No rubbing
    • No occlusion
    • Passive cooling only

    Aftercare

In general avoid sun as far as possible for some days.

Until next morning
• No cleansing unless necessary
• No actives (retinoids, acids, vitamin C, etc.)

Next morning
• Barrier cream only (e.g. Atobarrier 365)
• SPF 50 daily

Day 5 onward
• Gradual reintroduction of actives
• Retinoids last

Restrictions
• No sauna / heat: 72h
• No sport: 24–48h
• No actives: 5–7 days
• No makeup: 24h minimum

Eberstadt Süd im Vergleich zu FFM

Hi zusammen,

Diminishing returns & cost mitigation

The jump from a random moisturizer to something like Illiyoon or Aestura is massive for barrier repair.

But the jump from e.g. Illiyoon to Aestura feels much smaller than the price difference.

Aestura is definitely more elegant:
- better texture
- heavy
- more refined finish

But Illiyoon gets you most of the results for way less money and a bigger tube.

So lately I’ve been rotating “top tier” products with high-value alternatives instead of using only expensive barrier creams.

Of course, with unlimited funds I’d go all in on Aestura.

Anyone else has cost mitigation strategies?

[Product Request] hyperpigmented lips

Hi guys,

I am of Mediterranean/ Middle Eastern descent and I know I have naturally base line darker lips…However , I observed that my lips have become darker over the years.

Is there anything beside prevention (spf) I can do?

I am looking into Cyspera, TXA and Arbutin.

I disregard kojox acid and hydroquinone because they’re too aggressive and risky for me.

Some say there are lasers for hyperpigmentation ?
Anyone tried that?

And has anyone ever tried Cyspera on lips? The company that produces Cyspera occasionally posts cases where it supposedly helped

GREENO.RO - Fake products?

Hi guys,

greeno is mentioned here sometimes. Just wanted to ask if the products you ordered there turned out to be fake/counterfeit? Or do they sell originals?

Happy to get any insights.

Whitening Strips

Hi everyone,

I’m based in the EU and I know hydrogen peroxide whitening strips are heavily restricted here (0.1% max over-the-counter).

I’ve been looking into Crest Whitestrips, but it seems like they’re not officially sold in Europe, only through imports or third-party sellers.

Has anyone here actually found a reliable and legit source within the EU for Crest strips (or a trustworthy importer)?

Erfahrung mit HeilpraktikerInnen für Spritzen

Hi zusammen,
