We all know the state of average driving skill is abysmal. Should we all have to perform a test every few years to make sure we're not complete idiots?

The places where you buy in, don't actually own, pay ongoing rental, and have exit fees. A lot of people do it, there must be something to it surely?

My father had to go into aged care. This involved a deposit of $450+k for the RAD (Refundable Accommodation Deposit) to the company that runs the facility. All standard stuff. My father has since passed. Now, In order to retrieve that deposit, my mother has to go through a probate process involving solicitors etc. Why? The deposit came from an account in my mother's name. Does that mean she still needs to go through it? I genuinely can't understand why it's so difficult, and apparently can take up to six months!

I've just been given a lenovo 6" tablet and it has 'Battery protection mode'. It says when plugged in the battery will be maintained between 40 and 60%. I've plugged it in at 57% and it won't go up, even to 60. When plugged in in this mode will it drop down to 40 and then go up to 60 and then drop down again? Keep doing that until I turn off battery protection? Or will it simply sit at the percentage it was when I plugged it in?

In the recent death of a family member, I'm helping deal with the work to get the estate sorted. What I've heard is that the govt. now holds people's land titles, and also when I present the person's will at a solicitors it has to go to the govt.

I don't really know what that means. The solicitor will take the original from us and physically send it off, leaving us with only certified copies? What happens if we refuse?

What if we run out of certified copies? How do we access the original will?

I can't log into facebook. I put in my email and password.

Then it's asking me to use another device to log in.

When I do that (my phone, which luckily has the facebook account logged in), with the qr code or the notification using the choice of three numbers I do it and it simply goes to the "We prevented a login" screen on the other device (my phone) and that's it. 

The same thing happens when trying to log in on Windows and on my Android tablet. Luckily it's still logged in on my phone so I get the notifications there, but using the methods doesn't work to log in on the other devices. 

Another option there is to send a code to my email, but when that option is used it simply doesn't send an email. Please Help!

I can't work out if it's easiest to start a new account which comes with faffing about with email addresses and bank accounts, or trying to change the name with Id etc. I've tried that route before and never got a response from paypal. What is the very simplest way?

Edit. Ok I see that you can't change the person who holds the account. But still, how much trouble will it be to use the same email address and bank account when creating a new paypal account?

Recently my father died, and at some point we'll need to transfer the rego of the car out of his name. I use it pretty much to drive my mother around as my car's too small/low for her to get in and out comfortably. It seems it's free to transfer it to her name even though she no longer drives, but she wants to transfer it to my name. As far as I can see, that would involve an inspection and all the rigmarole that comes with transferring the rego to a stranger buying it. Is there a way to transfer it to me without any of that?

I have a circa 1980 house in coastal qld. There's a leak between the meter and the house. I'm sure enough of the location of the pipe and leak, but how deep might it be? And will it be a copper pipe in a sanded trench or maybe tape marking it?

Every time I use the mic button to search for something verbally on my Galaxy A13, it shows the results then repeats back to me in an awful voice the exact term I used to search.

I can't work out how to get rid of that feature. I just want the results, not also a grating voice repeating back what I said.
