Just married!

What benefits and services should we look into for my husband? I have added him as a spouse to my disability. Are there any health insurance benefits available to him if I’m 90% but being paid 100% TDIU? What about things like wills and life insurance? Education? We are also planning on buying a house this year.

Thank you in advance!

Is there anything that helps with redness under eyes?

F/50. I have never had particularly dark circles under my eyes. I have been noticing for the last year or so though that that area looks more red and some blue that are somehow not purple if that makes any sense. No major puffiness. It’s almost like it’s more blood vessels. It looks almost raw but isn’t at all painful or irritated. Is there anything topical I can do for this so I don’t look like an extra in a zombie apocalypse film without concealer on?

Edited to add: that skin does sometimes burn a little at the end of a long day

Direct practice MSW program vs general ?

I’m a senior working on my BSW. My intention is to go into clinical social work. Until last week I wasn’t aware there was a direct practice MSW, I’m assuming because my school only has a general one, and they’re not encouraging people to look elsewhere. Can someone please tell me a little more about a direct practice MSW program and how that might benefit me after leaving school? I’m specifically looking at the program at Chapel Hill. Would it at all expedite the process for me to get my LCSW?

Thanks, friends.

Should I buy out my lease?

I’m currently in a 24 Premium with 8100 miles on it. I have a little over a year left on my lease. If this were an ICE engine I would buy out my lease no question. But I’m curious about the long term health of the battery as this is my first EV. Any thoughts?

Looking for a moisturizer that will make my dry skin glow

I typically use Tret and TNS serum at night with Tatcha indigo overnight repair. In the AM I use a glow toner from a non lux brand, the PCA pigment gel pro, advanced night repair (yes, during the day) and then the tatcha moisturizer and peter Thomas Roth water drench SPF (goated, btw). But I feel like I’m missing an opportunity to use a moisturizer that does more than hydrate. Maybe something that brightens? It needs to be for dry skin and play well with makeup without pilling. TIA!

Automatic soap dispensers, sinks, and paper towel dispensers

The soap dispenser always takes several tries to actually give you what amounts to 2 drops of soap, the sink water is always freezing and has zero water pressure, and the towel dispensers give you the tiniest amount of paper to actually dry your hands.

I used a restroom at Dunkin Donuts yesterday where they were all manual, and it was like pure luxury.

A question about working with orchids

My fiance and I are both orchid enthusiasts. We have about 100 between the two of us, and his are fairly exotic/not phals. For this reason, I was thinking I would surprise him make him a boutonnière for our wedding that’s made out of whatever orchid we might have blooming at the time. However, I’m concerned about cutting a thinner flower stalk off and having it wilt almost immediately. Is there any way for me to tell which flower stems might be better to use that will stand up to being cut and lasting all day without wilting? Like would the thickness of the stem be any kind of an indicator? Some orchids are woody, like a phal, and some are extremely thin and delicate. Or would any of them work well if it’s properly trimmed and wrapped? Additionally, can I make it the day before and refrigerate it, or should I wait for day of, considering I will likely only have one shot.

I’m really hoping to make this work, I think it would be a really meaningful and personal touch that he’d go crazy for, so I thank you all in advance for any advice!

Would a total knee replacement affect my disability in any way?

I’m rated at 10% for osteoarthritis with a meniscal tear on my right knee. Now both of my knees are eligible for a total replacement. How will this affect my disability?

Some guy kidnapped me while I was sleeping and now I’m stuck in a wrestling match

I was just lying there minding my own business. Thinking about the next steps in my life, and my upcoming career change from a hard working blue collar job to the corporate world.

Now I have been taken against my will to a place where sweaty, oiled up, 300 pound men are using me as a diving board to attack their opponents. Not saying those guys are innocent either. I just saw one of them grab my cousin (who is a folding chair) and bash the other guy upside the head with it.

Regardless who is in the wrong here, I am still feeling quite traumatized by this world of constant violence. Will I ever again know the joy of riding in a truck bed with neon ribbons tied around my legs as the fly gracefully, laughing in the wind? Will I ever again get to enjoy a quiet afternoon of painting? Will I ever see my step kids again? Should I give them all seven years of bad luck or just be the bigger person and let it go?
