Last week I started working as a picker (for a home delivery company) in a busy supermarket. Training should be 14 days but because the job is easy the employee training me decided to reduce the number to 4 days. The problem is that when I ask him anything related to the job he ignores me. At the beginning he would do orders with me but on the 3rd day he let me do all orders and it was the same the next 2 days. And when he sees that I have a lot on my plate he’d tell me that he didn’t get support from the previous picker (so he’s treating me the same way). He makes it seem like he’s my supervisor (we’re both pickers but he has 2 months experience whereas I have none). Sometimes we get large orders and me being new it takes me longer than him. He lacks patience and sighs and gets irritated because of it and refuses to divide the products of the order between us. When he does orders he makes it seem like he’s doing it for me and that he’s supporting me. Isnt it his job? His shift is 10 hours whereas mine is 6 hours, he makes me work my whole shift and starts his when I leave. Is this okay? Mind you that all the other pickers in the other shops divide the work between them.

When there aren’t any orders I sit in the office room and work on other things on my laptop and when he saw me using my laptop he never let it go. He thinks I watch movies but I wasn’t but I didn’t want to tell him what I was doing. Whenever I’m out of the office he tells me to go watch a movie sarcastically with a hint of hate. He never stops talking about his self and how he has so much money and I hate it.

The first few days I went wherever he went so I could learn and I think he took it the wrong way and thought that I liked him because later he texted me and asked for my location?? Im usually flirty with everyone and I think he misunderstood that.

Also during those days I would ask to take on most orders because I wanted to get a hang of the job and he helped with bagging the items when I had 2 orders. then afterwards he stopped doing orders and bagging and would constantly tell me that the previous picker support him.

I texted my employer and told him about it and I transferred to another shop but this one doesn’t have any orders, I asked my employer if this’ll affect the probability of getting the job and he said no but I’m so bored. I when i got to the current shop i wanted to talk to the manager but didnt know his name so i asked staff if i could talk to 'the man in the white shirt' and they told him. he got offended and assigned me to scan all the items in the shop (3000+) I only scanned 2 rows worth of products and im pretty sure im on his bad side bc he wouldnt even look at me nor talk to me and i heard staff talk about me.

I want to go back to the first shop but I dread being around the other employee. And I’m also worried that he knows that I told management about it so now he’ll double down on the bullying.

Should I stay here or request a transfer back?

Transferring means that the employer has to change my shift's location in the system and activate my name in the order device.

Why is it a bad thing if it was made to protect the people from danger? doesnt the end justify the means? Mostly, the info is just used to detect major threats to the country so why is it made to seem like it is bad?
