Some of the gems I found in Montreal this weekend during Jazz Fest
Record digging in Montreal is pretty ok. I visited Cheap Thrills, Musique Beatnick, and Musique-Disque Sonik.
By far, Beatnick was the best selection - most of this came from there.

I still have my T shirt.
I think it’s cute and am considering it. If I do, I’d like it to last. Is the inside of my wrist a fine spot?
Can I bend it back with pliers?
*new-to-me record that went through a clean cycle and still left this on my stylus* barf.
Had someone build me this custom shelf (made from an extra cabinet shelf I had lying around) to support my phono pre above my tube buffer and headphone amp. Works well and looks fantastic!
ModWright Analog Bridge Tube Buffer and PH9.0XT Phono Pre, and Schiit Jotunheim 3
Had to take a car from terminal 3 to terminal 4 to meet some friends. The five minute ride cost me $6018usd. Guy told me twice my card was declined. I figured it was the bank flagging the card for fraud, so I asked to try tap to pay. He got out a different card reader, I tapped for the $18 ($300mxd) and went about finding my friends. Then it hit me - my tap to pay is the same card he was telling me was declined. Alarm bells went off in my head, so as soon as I got to WiFi I logged into my banking app, where I found these two charges from Luxora Mobility totaling $6000.02
Immediately called to report the fraud.
Here’s hoping I get my money back.
Are you in a pretty sick band? Does your pretty sick band have a record on vinyl for sale? Link me. I wanna buy it.
I’m open to whatever, but I mostly collect punk, pop punk, ska, jazz, and hip hop.
Most recently purchased vinyl from Cel Ray and Rad Payoff.
EDIT: I should have done this a long time ago! I've boughtn six LPs from this list already. Keep 'em coming! Great stuff.
The Amperex ecc88 / 6922 is maybe my favorite tube and I’ve got six slots for them across my main system and office. Also really liking the Ken Rad 6SN7 and RCA 5692s.
I’m pretty sure I like the Mullard Blackburn GZ34 for the two rectifiers I have in the system, but am open to suggestions.
Anyway. That’s all.
I’ve never posted here before, or in any Reddit cycling sub for that matter. But my family and I bike Chicago all the time. We’re trying g to get out of the city more often, but it’s tough without a bike rack - especially now that our kid’s bike is a bit bigger.
The rack I’d like is rather expensive new. Hoping to find a sub or site to buy secondhand gear peer to peer.
Thanks!
Just curious to see if there’s a consensus here.
***EDIT***
Great. So everyone and their mother stopped by to tell me how wrong I am. I guess now that I have your attention on all this, I will gladly pay first if you have 20+ trades in the group. PayPal or Zelle. Below still applies.

If you're a scammer about to send me AI gen or stolen images, or you're not going to follow the sub rules by commenting here before messaging me, just dont bother. I'm not a dumb dumb. I will figure you out immediately.
I’m in Vegas for work this week, so it got me thinking…
Scenario 1: They each encounter the other on their respective shows - both as hosts to their own show and as coincidental customers of the featured restaurant on the other’s show. Which is better TV?
Scenario 2: They swap host roles of their respective shows while maintaining character. Which show gets canceled first?
Scenario 3: Tag team match. Support from any one cohost from any show they host respectively. At Wrestlemania. Classic WWE weapons only (chairs, tables, thumb tacs, etc).
Healed two weeks. I’m pretty sure it’s doing ok, but I know some of the text from the remainder of the lyrics will need touchups (see image 2). Artist is an apprentice I’m letting do work on me from source material that didn’t require him to draw anything.
This is lyrics from a Bomb The Music Industry song and the text is the exact font from the album artwork.
Yeah? Yeah.
I was using some Psvane Summits, but recently acquired this Sylvania’s and they blew my mind. The Summits are great - don’t get me wrong. These are another level. Tight, punchy and controlled bass, massive airy soundstage with a polished top end. These are the first tunes I’ve tried that have truly done my punk collection justice. Mids crunchier than a tube of Pringles.
I’m considering one for my office setup to remove the AVR I’m currently using to manage crossovers for my 2.1 system. The AVR complicated gain staging, because ultimately I won’t be using it as a power amplifier.
