Tesla model 3 slanted backseat doesn't keep the newborn car seat reclined enough. Anyone solved this issue?

Tesla model 3 slanted backseat doesn't keep the newborn car seat reclined enough. Anyone solved this issue?

Got a convertible baby car seat (nuna rava next) but with the model 3 slightly deep actual car's backseat, the newborn car seat is not as reclined and looks somewhat upright.

In the car seat class, they told us we need to look for the line to be straight but there is no line on either side of the car seat for nuna rava next. Worried the reclining position would not support the newborn head as good as an infant car seat, especially with no alignment line in rava next to tell if it's good

Has anyone got this car seat and used it for your new born in Tesla model 3? Or with the way model 3 backseat is, has anyone faced issue with reclining for newborn and how did you fix it?

How to draw boundaries with older generation relatives who constantly try to learn your friend's caste and tell them off?

I am getting so annoyed by older generation trying to identify my friend's caste when I introduce about them or talk about them.

They are like that must be an sc area or they are like avanga vaniyar a chetiar a. Same with my friend's house too, antha iyer ponu epadi iruku etc. and my parents are not even iyer!

wtf honestly at this day and age. I have told my family a few times "I only see them as friends and I don't know any other info or tag, so please stop tagging people like this" and they are like "oh I am only telling you and won't tell to them directly". Well I am equally offended! but this conversation keeps coming over again and again, and I couldn't set a boundary with this, nor make them realize how filthy mindset they have.

Can these older generation see people as people and not associate a tags? How do you all deal with older generation who still behaves like this?

Nuna rava next convertible looks slightly upright for a newborn. Anyone used it from newborn stage or better to go with infant car seat?

We got a nuna rava next for the new born (expected due date in mid Sept). We realized nuna rava next has only 4 recliner settings for rear facing whereas nuna rava had 5 level recliner for rear facing. The car seat class asked to verify the line needs to be straight after installation. There is no straight line indicator in the rava next like most of other car seat.

When we placed it in the car (model 3) which already has a slanting back seat, the car seat looks more upright for a newborn than when placing it on a flat surface, and definitely looks more upright than an infant car seat. Worried if it's not safe enough for a new born. Has anyone used nuna rava Next for a newborn?

Is vista v3 good or you wish you got another stroller?

FTM and looking to buy a stroller. We live in Washington, so more rain than sun. Was vista v3 a good purchase?

We already got a uppababy bassinet to make the baby sleep in it for first three month. So checking if vista v3 stroller is a good purchase? What are the pros and cons of the stroller?

Dexcom keeps logging me out of the app and shows 50-55 continuously.

I am a gestational diabetes person on week 36, my husband is a t1d person so I have got good advice about diabetes in past, so posting here. Please let me know if I should remove this post

Today is the first day of me injecting insulin. I injected 4 units of humalog for half a banana and quinoa, veggies and salmon.

Unfortunately, I also dropped my finger prick tester right before dinner from the height of coffee table, so not sure if damaged the device. Would dropping the finger prick device damage it or is it somewhat resiliant?

The dexcom G7 after 60 mins of calibration is showing I am 55 urgent low after dinner for a while now, but the finger prick is showing me I am at 92.

The finger prick is also showing a higher number (77) for my husband whereas his Medtronic sensor is showing as 60. Does it mean if the blood test sensor is reliable or damaged due to the fall?

My husband says going low has symptoms like feeling confused and unable to think, but that has been my brain for last 3-4 weeks with pregnancy brain. So couldn't say I am really low or not.

The dexcom app keeps logging me out of the app along with continuously pointing out I am low. Is it normal and has it happened to anyone?

I have been using stelo with the same email I use the dexcom app with. is that the reason why dexcom keeps logging me out of the app?

Doctor suggesting inducing at week 39 or week 40 for ivf, ama and GD. Is it medically necessary?

I just turned 35 in May and we did ivf pregnancy. FTM. Separately I have diet controlled GD. Levels are well below 140 after meal and fasting is under 90. The MFM nurse mentioned it's well controlled. My doctor is suggesting to induce week 39 or week 40.

Her reason is AMA and IVF are risk factors for inducing on week 39/40. The baby is in 40th percentile and the head measurements are in 30th, HC is 20th percentile. I would prefer to have the baby by 40 weeks if it helps them to grow more within and if there are no risk factors like heart beat difference, placenta difference or hypertension. I am having my 36 weeks appointment where we are discussing this.

Anyone has been suggested with something similar? What follow up questions you asked to make an informed decision on this?

Edit: spoke with my doctor yesterday, she is happy to induce anytime from 39 weeks 0 days to 39 weeks 6 days, and don't want to go past due date. I agree with this. They scheduled weekly nst. Thanks everyone for your valuable inputs :)

What recliner did you get for nursery room?

Currently too many tik tok ads and short video recommendations shows up if I look for nursery recliners. Honestly don't know what to buy. At least with stuff like strollers, we have brands like uppababy, nuna, Graco, mocking bird etc and we know we can pick from one of these. How did you all choose nursery recliners? And what brand you trusted? I don't want to get random Amazon or temu brand that breaks in 1 year nor want to spend 1500$ on recliners, so looking for suggestions from people what shops/companies/brand you generally go with for recliners and how has your experience been?

Any diet controlled GD person, have you gone to 165 and stayed there for an hr?

I am diagnosed with GD. I usually peak to 140 in one hr and can come back to 120 in 2 hrs. If I have carb heavy meal, I would 150 and with long walks, I came down

However my mfm diabetic nurse is refusing to give me insulin and says I would go low, it is understandable because my fasting is under 90 and my bf /lunch stays under 130

Yesterday, I had dinner from a nearby vegetarian only restaurant, even with tofu, not sure if they added hidden sugar or starch and with rice, my sugar level stayed 160 for 3 hrs before it came down and I had to borrow 4 units of insulin from my husband. I am planning to tell this to my doc at 36 weeks appointment next week.

Has this happened to anyone? Does staying high for 4 hrs one time cause bad side effects?

Apartment hot water have too much sediments. Apartment have its own boiler. Should apartment be fixing it?

I am trying to understand what's the responsibility of the apartment in fixing water quality. The apartment hot water system is so sedimented from its unit boiler, that it's fully white.

Do they have to fix it or change boilers (or) they don't have to as long as the boiler is working?

35f and ivf pregnancy: did you get induced at 39 or 40 weeks with these risk factors?

I am 35f and ivf pregnancy. My doctor said inducing is better due to risk factors. Did people get induced because of AMA and Ivf at week 39 or week 40. How did you choose between 39 or 40?

Labor and delivery experience in Evergreen hospital: how did you find it?

I am planning to give birth in evergreen Kirkland. This is my first baby. I learnt today that the hospital allows only 24 hrs to stay after vaginal delivery and 48 hrs for c section from time of delivery.

Looking for people's experience on how did you find delivering your baby in Evergreen Kirkland and the post partum care you had after delivering the baby? Was there a strong cut off to vacate the hospital 24 hrs after the delivery or do they usually check things are good with the baby before discharging the mom and baby?

Swedish first hill labor and delivery: how long were you allowed to stay after birth?

I go to evergreen, and I learnt both evergreen and overlake keeps mom and baby only for 24 hrs after the birth..I am surprised by this as I thought they would monitor baby eating and poop for at least 36 hrs.

We saw in the birthing video that swedish first hill allows to stay up to 36 hrs after vaginal birth and up to 60 hrs for c section.

Just want to understand from people's experience how the first hill was swedish for labor and delivery, and postpartum recovery/baby care for the first 2-3 days? Did anyone feel they were rushed to discharge from the hospital or was 24-36 hrs enough for first time parents?

Edit: thanks everyone for your reply and for sharing your experience! Looks like learning is hospital will keep you slightly longer if they have to monitor the baby, otherwise 24 is more than enough. Thanks for sharing all this, very helpful. I am going to talk with both my insurance and hospital about post delivery monitoring of mon and baby in my week 36 meeting with my obgyn

My gestational diabetes got cured in week 34. Does it signify early placenta aging?

I used to have insulin resistance from week 24 to week 33. My overnight was like 85, but after dinner it always used to spike 140-150 in one hour after dinner, and I had to go for 2-3 rounds of walking to get it under 120. This happened even if I had little bit white rice. Over the last week and especially in the last three days, my sugar level doesn't spike over 130 after food and stays around 100 after two hrs.

I learnt placenta harmone stops peaking after week 36/37 and people's GD gets cured or easily managed afterwards. For me, this has onset on week 34.

I contacted the healthcare provider and they asked to monitor the baby movements as usual, and told il have nst test from week 36 because of GD and AMA (35f)

Didn't realize now I have to worry about reduced diabetes in pregnancy lol as it shows placenta health!

Does it signify early placenta aging? Has anyone experienced this before?

My sugar level doesn't reach 140 in first one hr but lingers at 128 instead of under 119 in 2nd hr. Did people take insulin for this?

Hi I am in diet controlled gestational diabetes and my provider said I can make the decision to have insulin from Tuesday (week 34) if needed, but this means I will get induced on week 39.

This is for dinner - My sugar level sometimes reaches about 130-140 in the first hr and stays like 120-125 in the second hr, and eventually get under 110.

I kind of restrict simple carbs for breakfast and lunch:

- breakfast: Greek yogurt, protein scoop, blueberries, walnuts

- lunch: three eggs and avacado, and some fruits

- in between snack and nuts at 4pm

- dinner is when I get hungry and I take some carbs like roti or rice along with protein (chicken or veg ) and fibre. This definitely makes me skip the one hr mark (140) or two hr mark (under 119), even after walking.

I asked for insulin to control this spike within 2 hrs.

Insulin means I need to get induced at 39 weeks, otherwise I get induced at 40 weeks.

Did people experience something similar and take insulin for dinner alone for levels that are slightly over the expected range?

Is it normal to get frustrated and think your husband is annoying in 8th month of pregnancy?

My husband is driving me nuts. I am 34 weeks, and I am scared of delivery.

We got a convertible car seat, and I wasn't sure if we needed this or an infant car seat. So I told him not to open the car seat as it's not returnable if we did, and Incase we need infant car seat, we can give it back.

He opened it today in the 2 mins I went downstairs to collect another package and mentioned he opened so he can install the base in the car. There is no base for convertible car seat!! Now I got so pissed and snapped at him.

I used to really admire him and like him a lot. Now he comes across as extremely unempathetic and not listening or acknowledging whatever I am saying. Is it because of 8th month pregnancy or things are just getting bad?

Edit: thanks for the inputs. Looks like postpartum mood swings are even bad from what you are all describing - any technique or anger management tools that helped you all to keep emotions under check and communicate more respectfully?
