Šulc was shown a straight red in the 25th minute after a late challenge on Trent Alexander-Arnold. The referee initially let it go, but VAR sent him to the monitor and the decision was quickly changed. Czechia were left playing with 10 men for more than an hour, and you could feel the game shift straight away. Tough situation to recover from when you're up against England.

I’m still not convinced Golinucci deserved a red there. He was sent off in the 51st minute against Finland, and with San Marino already struggling, going down to 10 made the game even more difficult. Maybe I’m being too generous, but the challenge didn’t look like an obvious straight red to me. It also makes it two international red cards for him recently after the one against Bosnia, so he definitely needs to be more careful with these challenges.
