IS MECH WORTH IN AN ERA LIKE THIS?

I am a highschool graduate and probably will start college this year. I am eyeing mechanical engineering as i like Physics; Computer Science as it's rewarding RN (but declining); and circuital branches as it's a mid ground [tho not much interested but parents think interest can be developed]

We are seeing AI taking over almost at every field. What are your thoughts on the demand of mechanical engineers in near future [5-6 years]?? Is it worth pursuing and investing in it? What are the points to keep in mind?

Also are there any specific countries which will provide a convincing amount to mech. engineers? so that i can target that countries for post-grad school or job placement?

reddit.com

Anyone who can help me with this?

Any 2k24/2k25cels or IT profs. who were getting decent college and were considering taking drop?? doesn't matter what they pursued after that...

  1. Drop and aim 97tile+(practically), to join a decent NIT/IIIT or a good post NIT-tier college.
  2. Join a T3 mech.(i like mech.) and side-by-side pursue filmmaking(not backing off) to have multiple paths open for me. Grind will be strong and only focused on BTech and film.
  3. Join a T4 CSE with amazing campus(and almost khud ka college+minimal to 0 fees) and too, pursue filmmaking.

Is planning for post-grad a good option in this era where already more jobs are taken every year by AI and I'll just be delaying without much return as UG ngas are grabbing high CTC anyways.

Also taking drop would delay my film thing which isn't much preferred for me.

SERIOUS ADVICE NEEDED!! dilemma while choosing career paths

Seniors, what's the rough scenario of Btech in future? Is it worth going deep into btech and not pursuing any other interests?

My scene - After 2 years of JEE and exams, i have finally completed advanced and was just starting to explore vacation time; and told my dad to buy me a camera to make some films and stuff(for Yt and ig). I have waited for 2 years to buy a camera and start making videos. Now, dad thinks I should not start making videos as it will destroy my btech degree. He thinks i won't be able to balance and then will not get placement. He thinks everybody who "just studies" for 4 years crack big companies. He might be partially true but i am not willing to put all my eggs in one basket!! He is telling me to start all this video stuff after 4 years of btech.

I need a real life scenario and perspective from the ones who are pursuing btech or are doing an IT job or any engineering job.

Hey mates!

I am gonna buy a used zv-e10.

I have two options, one with a shutter count <10k

and the other with a count between 10k & 100k

Now, the dilemma is, i am skeptical about the <10k one as i think the camera SHOULD have an issue to be used that less. Can someone experienced help me with that? Is the 10k too less?(i don’t think so personally)

Like <10k would mean it can be 1-2k eventually. But, <100k would also mean around 90k… which is pretty high(??)

Which one should i go with?

ps- I am gonna shoot videos MOSTLY, with around 900-1k pictures per month(max.). I am swaying towards videography more. So if that changes anything, advice accordingly.

I will still try to ask for specific count before they send me the piece.

So here's what we have got:

  1. Sony a5100 (320$)
  2. Sony ZV-1F(360$)
  3. Sony ZV-E10(497$)

i haven't checked properly about them but these are too:

  • a6000(340$)
  • a6300(508$)

now, i'm gonna use the camera for videography-cinematography for my social media. Planning to create travel films, short documentaries, Youtube videos. What would y'all suggest? (so would be using mic too...) [suggest one from <400 range and one from>400]

additionally, i have worked with better cameras, but they weren't mine so i'm buying for my personal work.

ps: appreciate the ones who is suggesting using a phone but sorry i WANT TO buy a camera :) thanks!!

I am confused between iPhone 13, Samsung S23 and Pixel 8.

Usage - basic functions, Occasional vlogging and editing for Yt.

musts - good video camera, smooth n premium UI exp., 128gb storage min., using for minimum for 3 years.

os - last phone was iPhone 11, sold it. Most of the work on Lenovo windows laptop.

ps - buying a camera so bit tight on phone budget. But will use the camera-laptop combo for the whole workflow of bigger stuff, phone for casual vlogs and editing.

Is Marwadi CSE better than CHARUSAT(non-cse) or PDEU(circuital) [might get Nirma ec in later rounds]

how's life and CROWD there? is it worth dropping above two?

Ears up y'all. Straight up, got 160 in 1st attempt, NULL prep, just went through Phy. Chem. formulae on the way to center. No prior mocks/solving. Over-confident in Eng-LR (absolutely 0 prep)

Aiming for 240+ on 24th. (DECENT GOOD MAINS PREP ≈150 but sure had more in me)

DROP SOME WISDOM FELLAS!!

No BS - I am looking for a camera around a budget of 600-650$, for VIDEO specifically.

Background : I am doing Photography and videography for 2.5-3 years now. I was shooting for a nearby org; at their studio.

I have worked with iPhone 13 TOP, Canon M50 & 1300D, SONY a7III (not much). Have a good grip on gimbal(Zhiyun) and Drone.

I have the base iPhone 11. Gonna upgrade my mobile too... tho the 650 are for the camera and stuff alone.

What would be the best way to go?
