How much and how often do turbos come around in your area?

Been in Memphis for a few days and thought I'd try my luck. Memphis drivers: is this typical? What the fuck?

I'm planning my weekends at home around 30% turbos and they're throwing them out here in TN at 50% nonstop.

How often do turbos come around where you're from? What's the highest you've ever seen?

Mine average 10-20% and *maybe* spike into 40% but I haven't been doing this very long. Shocked to see how high Memphis went on a random Thursday.

Pretty much every day I looked at was like this

Can I buy LL's for one ride for half my group and different LLs for the other half of my group?

Looking at buying LLs for HWS tomorrow. Most of my group is under 40" but the other half wants to ride Rockin' Rollercoaster.

Can I buy LLs for party members for one big ride and then another set of LLs with for a different big ride?

50/50 Runaway Railway and Rocking Rollercoaster with the other rides being the same?

If I buy another set of LLs, will they simply add them to the first set I've purchased and not give me the option to choose a different ride/set of rides?

Went as a Make-a-Wish family in April, going again next week. Anything I should be aware of that I might be taking for granted?

We went in April and basically had the whole thing handed to us on a silver platter. We've booked a last-minute package (we booked it last night) at the Caribbean Beach Resort for this upcoming Saturday to Saturday, dining plan with 4 single park tickets. Is it too late to aim for decent dining reservations?

Any advice for someone who has done it before but only as a Wish family? Does anyone know if we can we use the Wish lounges? We completely missed them the first time and forgot they existed

Edit: it'll be 31M 29F 65F 3F 5M, we don't really have any special interests past the princesses

David's Rental Club for July 12-19. 3 days too little notice?

Would it be possible to get a dining plan & tickets etc for something so soon, even if it is a confirmed reservation?

The BO is unreal

I know it's hot but my god. Do you guys say something when someone gets in or out? I had a woman who was literally making me feel sick last night, food and cigarettes and straight BO.

Say something? Just wait for cooler temps?

The ending of Stormlight is going to suck, and we've been training to tolerate it this whole time

"Journey before destination" has been littered throughout the entire series, it's a main plot point. Sanderson has been subtley hinting this whole time that he has absolutely no idea where any of this is going

It's the greatest foreshadowing of our generation. The ending is going to be a cold mouthful of ash and grit in terms of quality

I guess the real Stormlight Archives were the friends we made along the way

Cheapest possible way to do the whole thing? We can't wait and save

I feel like an explanation is necessary because people do downvote these type of things but I genuinely can't wait or save up.

We did my 3yo daughter's Make a Wish trip to Disney in late April. It was an experience. We had spent the last two months living in a Ronald McDonald house in Memphis while she was receiving treatment at St. Jude's. Prior to this, she spent the month of January in the PICU after shit hit the fan. From totally normal to insanity.

We were not ready for Disney. Mentally, physically, culinarily, all the -ly's. We had been home for a whole day when we got word she had been scheduled for Disney next week. They had asked us for dates when we wanted to go but told us it was ultimately up to her medical team, and apparently the time was then. We met with our sponsor, a wonderful woman, and off we went.

To say that it was one of the most exhausting, amazing things we've ever experienced is an understatement. No words, not even gunna try. I hope to God none of you ever have a reason to experience a Make a Wish trip, but for fucks sake if this nightmare is good for anything it's those Super Lightning Lane passes.

We did 5 theme parks in 5 days and I don't regret it, but we were in full fight or flight the entire time and were crying in the bathrooms and hotel rooms at night. It was just fucked.

Anyway, it's all she's been talking about since. My wife, her 5yo brother, and honestly me too, want to go back and give it another shot. I think ultimately it's a good sign that we did well for them, but I am not really thrilled at the idea of returning. I'm just afraid I won't get another try.

While we have basically obliterated our savings dealing with all of this (I haven't worked full time since January and my wife is a SAHM) I am starting to get more and more desperate to try again because symptoms seem to be slowly progressing again and I believe our time to be limited. We had a recent stay in the PICU where we brought her in for observation but after a CT and MRI she was cleared until August. Obviously we will involve her medical team on the trip.

So, please. Any advice? I live in South Alabama, I'm thinking I can make this drive in a day, and I'm going to just go get a hotel and tickets and send it on the credit cards one more time. Not sure it will be better mentally but hopefully she'll have a good time. I've been thinking "Wait until September when it's cooler" but I genuinely don't think we have that much time. She has DIPG and prognosis is generally 6-9mo

What's the cheapest way I can do this? Is a travel agent best? Who's got the cheapest tickets? Should I get a Disney card and use an introductory offer? Is it worth going for the cheapest value resorts to stay onsite and be connected via Skyliner or will I not regret a random Econolodge? I'm not opposed to just dropping everything and going next week

Accused of touching someone inappropriately without their consent. Wtf do I do?

I absolutely did not touch anyone. I barely make eye contact with people. I just got an email saying my account is on hold and a call from support to ask for my side of things. They wouldn't tell me the rider's name, gender, or the time of day it happened, only that it was yesterday. I don't know what to do. I've only been driving Lyft for like 5 days.

What's going to happen? The guy sounded sympathetic on the phone but like the decision had already been made.

Help?

How much of running ability is based on weight?

How important is weight in regard to improving endurance/speed, and when considering running as a viable exercise?

I have lost about 70lb/30kg over the last 8mo. I started a C25K program at that time and have been bouncing around repeating weeks, taking weeks off etc alongside a much more serious commitment to a dumbbell routine, intermittent fasting and maintaining a caloric deficit with focus on protein/fiber. I can now run pretty much indefinitely if I keep the pace slow and steady, whereas when I started I was struggling to run for 1min, 2min, 5min at any pace.

How much of it is simply weight loss? So many months of painful effort and small injuries/stress. Should I have simply waited to get lighter?

For reference I started approximately 300lb/136kg and am now 235lb/106kg and the issue was never my lungs/heart but my ability for my legs to keep up with my desire to keep moving.

I feel like my body has just now caught up to my desire to run, but it's not really because of my conditioning. I may have simply lost weight and made it so I wasn't as hard to run or be at such a high risk for injury

Cheapest way to fly to one-way to Nashville?

I'm thinking it's either Pensacola or New Orleans. Anyone make the trip and have a bit of knowledge to drop? Flying in to pick up a car and drive it home.

Does this 2015 Avalon XLE Premium sound okay? 119k @ $14k out the door, thinking about jumping on it

Really thinking about throwing caution to the wind and diving on it. We have a 2015 Nissan Versa that I despise.

Are these thing supposed to click? Carfax is really solid

This is the Carfax

Just ran for the first time without my phone and it's like night and day

I've been using a C25K app for intervals and like to listen audible when I run. I've been doing it for about 6 months with my phone bouncing along in my pocket, falling out once a run. I realized I could put an interval app and Audible on my watch and connect them to my headphones. Honestly, the difference is night and day. I feel like the real deal now, not worrying about my phone or holding it in my hand half the time 😎

Foaming at this mouth for this 2016 Forester 2.5I Premium for $12k out the door, 135k miles. Should I slow my roll?

https://www.carfax.com/vehiclehistory/ar20/jf4TQYfmre5NFrfrAz-44nNWDjrHl4A8CZdtXHYJ6D3QQeVctaemCWDO4ZMMykxu7NGcVQzgtAsCVRRrAwbLfswimsX-evOOlro

Test drove it and it was smooth af but idled a tiny bit rough when it first started. Maintenance could be better but they did flush the trans at 60k. What are the odds I'm due for a $4k repair as soon as I drive it off the lot? They just received the car today, inspection and detailing tomorrow. We've agreed on $12k cash if it passes PPI from our mechanic.

Any thoughts? We've been rocking a 2015 Nissan Versa and had to put a new transmission in that at 90k miles so we are really sketched by the CVT. Any words of caution? Should I just keep looking?

My sister offered me her Poseidon X Gravel for $200, I'm so hype. My first "real" bike

Any pointers for a noob? Last time I owned a bike was in highschool about 15 years ago. What resources should I direct my attention to? Any decent podcasts/YouTubers that someone can recommend for a beginner?

Is this a deal breaker? Rebuilt 2015 Avalon 91k @ $10150

Is this even worth going to take a look at?

2017 Corolla L @101k miles for $9800, good deal?

We've got a strict budget of 10k. Neither of us are working right now but we need to replace our vehicle and have been given a small grant to go with our savings.

Is this a good deal? What are the odds I'm due for a big repair soon if we move on this? It went on the market yesterday, going to try and test drive it and get it looked at by our mechanic today.

Anything I should be aware/mindful of? These cars are simply not on the market at this price and there are no reported accidents, but from the cigarette burn holes in several places from the pics I am assuming it will reek of smoke

We have a clapped out 2015 Versa on its last legs with a (second) dying CVT and a lot of cosmetic damage to trade in
