How do you guys get high paying jobs or pass interviews really?

I had one before because I worked my way into it then got laid off when 40% of the company shut down.

I am so, so depressed. I do not know how to get another high paying job. I have the education, certs, and qualifications but do not understand the interviews. I have been on 36 interviews this year so far before filing bankruptcy not exaggerating it is the exact number, plus 3 after bankruptcy, and did not pass any of them.

I am becoming so overwhelmed and depressed. They want my skills clearly but do not want me as a person.

Job offers rescinded due to bankruptcy? Struggling pretty bad

I have been securing interviews but during the preliminary background check they ghost me. I recently completed chapter 7 bankruptcy. People ask why, short story I tried to help my family when I had a high paying job. They took advantage fully, cost me my house, left me with debt, and left. I got laid off and was not able to recover.

I'm still trying, like my MBA is from an excellent university and I completed 2 tech certifications. I have had 2 credit unions rescind their offer and 4 have ghosted me so far after the background check. Additionally I am visibly autistic I've been diagnosed since I was a child. So being disabled has been a difficult filter, and I have put this bankruptcy on my record now too.

I feel like my life is forfeit in a way and don't see myself escaping this pit.

Looking for the older woman vlogger?

Hello, I saw a few facebook reels of an older woman who collected Jellycats. It was clear she had a large following and she had an extremely large collection mostly of bunnies. She spoke in a lovely tone. I don't know her name and accidentally refreshed the screen before following her.

I have tried searching youtube but keep coming across younger women and their collections. That is nice but I am looking for the older woman, I think she was in her late 50s. I think she her hair was cut short and was talking about a grey bunny she had recently gotten.

Slightly panicking about the name change process?

I'm a bit stressed and trying to figure out if I'm doing something right or wrong. I hate my deadname so much

I completed all the forms for the change in person. Then went online and requested a hearing. I also did the fingerprinting for the background check. And I submit a copy of my birth certificate.

After all this how long does it take for you to hear back? Did the judge reject or deny your name change I'm so worried the judge will reject mine or maybe I did something wrong

Sorry maybe I am overthinking this process is a lot easier than I am making it. I'm just under a lot of stress and want to hear from others who have changed their name. I am in Central Florida, thank you dears

Thank you.

27 [F4M] Orlando, FL - Dating for the first time in 7 years

My name is Eden.

I'm making this post on Reddit because I've been single for about 7 years now and don't want to be anymore. I've dated only twice so I don't have much experience.

I am autistic, diagnosed lol I'm a little quiet and socially awkward.

I am chubby at 180lbs, I used to be fat 220lbs but started kayaking so the weight naturally fell off. I kayak almost every two weeks at various parks for half a day. I enjoy losing weight and have been actively working out, kayaking lol, and going to the beach. I don't eat fast food at all and prefer to eat at restaurants that primarily focus on fresh fish or veggies like Flowerchild or Bayridge Sushi. I usually wear clothes from Ralph Lauren or brands similar to that. Literally its like half my wardrobe no particular reason, I just like the clothes. I have other hobbies and things I like and do but those are the basics.

I live in Orlando specifically but can drive around. I like all of Central Florida honestly and plan on moving to Hollywood or near that area in 2028. Tampa itself is lovely but the giant flag (you know the one) bothers me so I do not like driving to or from Tampa.

I'm not rushing to meet, but I don't want to text on a computer all day either. I'm a Disney passholder too so if you're free I'm free all day on Aug 13th and 14th. Hmm how do I put this. I am not desperate for a relationship, I consider chatting as not putting in much effort since its a forum and I noticed people are using AI to post these so I assume others are using AI to reply.

If I'm going to date I need to push myself out my comfort zone and actually see you, not words on a screen. Then we can vibe test from there. That is not an innuendo, I do not participate in ,,risky" nightly-cultures.

Lol I'm talking too much. Thanks for reading, see you soon.

Is the update preparing us for Clear Coasts (New Endgame)?

I've been reading a few threads regarding feedback and changes. Sometimes I catch myself wondering why these updates keep changing the gameplay, but they are adding an entire new level and endgame boss (>!allegedly in the volcano!<) so everything has to be slowly paced out.

I'm sure they have a good reason for reducing the number of fires now. I am so excited and honestly believe they are getting us adjusted to the upcoming gameplay. Everything is strategy based! What if the upcoming cogs are going to be super difficult, and they assume toons may spam fire? So now they have to figure out a way to gently reduce the fires we earn?

I have also noticed a decrease in toons with not-maxed gags joining groups. They ask but players are redirecting them to the other side or to buildings. I think its GREAT!! I was so tired of carrying lower laff or low-gag toons. Now the gameplay actually encourages them to catchup through Toontasks so they know what they're getting into. I think it's prepping them for the new endgame battle!!

And ya I've read tons of threads talking about how the team has been a little defensive and snappy lately. I think the stress of Clear Coasts is getting to them tbh! I cannot imagine the pressure, assets, design,, and bugs and quality... how does it fit into the game, will it break doodles, will players adapt....

I am so excited for Clear Costs lol

Neighbor with muscle car and he back fires and revs engine daily how do I handle this?

Location: Orlando, Florida

Would I be a Karen for reporting my neighbor with a loud vehicle to the city or should I just file a complaint to the complex itself?

For reference I live on the FOURTH floor and my rent is $2350 per month. He has a orange muscle car of some kind I don't know but it back fires and revs and he does this EVERY DAY twice per day and it vibrates through my apartment for 5-10 minutes every time. I am in tears this is too much.

No offense to anyone but I feel like I'm paying entirely too much to hear this sh*t.

How do I reasonably make them stop? What are the proper channels or do I just ask directly?

I am autistic and asking with honesty it is my first time handling a noise complaint.

What is the sensory difference between Hori Turbo and Pro Switch 2 controllers

This is the Hori Wireless HORIPAD Turbo Pixel Pokemon controller that literally just released 2 days ago. It's been popping up on my local Pokopia Facebook but I have not found a single video review yet. It's sold out now but I've read on reddit that the Hori company restocks often so I don't know what to save for.

I was saving up for the Switch 2 Pro controller. I understand Hori offers both regular and turbo controllers. I have never had a Switch 2 controller before. The only controllers I've had are the PS5 Dualsense controller and the Xbox Wired Afterglow Prismatic controller.

Is the Turbo like the Afterglow controller? Like, is it actually super cute but feels sort of cheap compared to the Pro controller? To me, the Pro Controller feels better than my Dualsense.

I hope this makes sense. It's super cute but idk which one to get. I am autistic so I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just trying to conceptualize it better in my brain since its sold out in stores so I can't actually test it before buying it.

Hyper independent girlies... how do you deal with the fact you can't do everything alone anymore?

I'm 27, recently discharged from 6-figure debt in bankruptcy after telling myself I could figure it out. Been working since I was 16, took care of others, lost my house at 22, lost my high paying job at 26, moved states and started over alone at 27.

A few things on my plate: legal name change, interview prep, learning how to sew, and learning proper workout forms.

My confidence is in the gutter. Legal name changes in Florida are very extensive and difficult. While I have been securing several interviews I have learned I am terrible at them. I freeze, my mind gets foggy, it's really rough. I don't know how to sew but want to. I want to workout properly and make genuine progress but am so ashamed to ask.

As I'm getting older I have learned I can't do it all alone. It is so, so hard. Coming to the realization I do not know anything at all, I am struggling, and I need help has been damaging for my confidence. My life is difficult to explain, my parents are alive and kept a roof over my head until 16 but I am functionally an orphan if that makes sense.

The things I need help with are very simple. There is a mental barrier of me assuming Googling, Youtube, and reading books is enough for me to take care of the task on my own. It's just not anymore.

A guy gave me these and I like the strawberry rose

I usually drink Path water but since filing for bankruptcy I can't drink that anymore since it's not reasonable in my budget. I was talking to a guy about figuring out how to alkalize the tap water (foolish i know) and he let me try his water. So far I only had the strawberry rose but I am happy. Are there other alkaline waters like this? Without the sugar and sweeteners so tea basically lol but it is good

Has anyone gotten hired recently? Please share if you did 😊

Hi, I filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy recently and have been trapped in my first call center job. I've been trying to return to normal employment for almost 2 years now. I was laid off making ~$89K a year before overtime, now I'm scraping by with $43K.

Depression is an understatement.

I know I'm not alone. I know other people are in worse or similar positions. There must be jobs in Florida that are hiring or have already completed hiring. There are good jobs in Florida, I would love to hear about them. 😊 You do not have to share your company, role, or industry. I'm not job hunting, this more like, how was your first day? Is your team nice? Does your new job make you happy?

I am trying to remain optimistic.

The Tomorrow War, the teacher scene really bothered me

I just found out about this movie today. Maybe I'm overreacting but that teacher scene was fucking awful.

  1. Chris Pratt (because he is playing himself) is meant to be a character that is shown to be socially outgoing with the introduction into the house party. Pratt's character is meant to be a goofy, loving father shown by his relationship with his daughter. And through the conversation with the recruiter on the phone, he is shown to be a disciplined elementary school teacher.

Loving father, social butterfly, school teacher. Remember this.

  1. The announcement happens and everyone finds out in 30 years they all die. People enlist to fight the war.

  2. Chris Pratt's daughter has a scene where she is hyperventilating at bedtime. She is crying, sobbing, afraid of the future and unable to stop even with her mother consoling her. Pratt steps in and calms her down.

  3. Pratt goes to work. In the classroom, he is attempting to teach a subject but the TV is on displaying the current casualty rate of the war. The elementary children are visibly depressed, disassociated, and on the verge of tears. They are not speaking or participating in the subject being taught. Pratt then says, "okay, what do you guys want to learn?"

One student excitedly raises his hand in the midst of all this sadness.

Pratt immediately chastises the student in front of the entire class and doesn't pick his hand. Why? Because the kid thinks volcanoes are cool.

WHAT THE FUCK? Are you serious! How does this fit the character at all? I can't imagine any teacher would do this to a child given the context of their literal impending deaths and what we know of the character.

Naturally, the other children are influenced by this dismissal (as if they're not already depressed) and start talking about how their parents have fought in the war and start asking the teacher what is the point of living.

This scene is bothering me so much. I really do not like to see children mistreated in movies. Can anyone share a different perspective maybe because I really don't get this.

May I ask what size are these beads?

I am looking for low cost hobbies and found out beading is relatively cheap (in the hobby art economy) with gorgeous results.

May I ask what size are these beads? I think they are 12mm or 16mm. I apologize my eyes are not very strong.

Thank you.

Also I found this picture on Pinterest it is NOT my work!

How do I get back on track?

Before: I was 23, 24, and 25 earning 85K and 30k with a part time job. I bought a house. My total savings was $185K and the house was a new construction at $225K. I was and still am fully self supporting without parental assistance.

Then: I was 26. Lost my house trying to help a 40 year old family member. Lost all of my money helping that family member with their court cases. Then I got sacked in a mass layoff and had to move twice, so I also lost my side job. Family member won a substantial amount of money shortly after and left the country, leaving me to pick up the collateral damage. I was young and impressionable, looking back they certainly took advantage of me. We no longer speak.

Now: 27. Filed for CH7 bankruptcy, attorney helped me keep the remaining 35K and my car. Now I'm scraping by with 45K at a call center. I can't find another job paying 85K.

I am so defeated. I lost so much trying to help my terrible family and really struggling to see the light at the end. I am posting today because I have just learned they intend to come back to the USA because they still need to wrap things up in the courts and I am so exhausted. I lost everything.

How did you adapt to the private sector?

I grabbed a random job and it happened to be a phone agent position. Most respectfully, its driveling on the phone for hours on end to help with tasks. I don't mind the frustrated customers, it is the management and behaviors tolerated that bother me.

My team does "feedback exercises" where 5-6 phone agents and one team lead will provide feedback on one person based on the phone call selected. Naturally this goes as well as you expect, a few nice things are said then everyone just starts criticizing and it feels counter-intuitive. The person receiving feedback generally gets defensive, I have gotten defensive and felt embarrassed by it. This is a meeting the supervisors initiate twice per week for every single person.

A behavioral issue that upsets me would be this one guy who was openly racist and discriminatory towards the customers. Super racist to the point we could get sued for the things he was saying and doing. I got upset and told him to basically cut that shit out. They laughed at me for getting upset about it. Corporate HR came down and was like, "no that person is right, you guys need to stop being racist", basically. Even though HR got involved, it has developed to the point where I am the joke and they are wary of me. They literally make jokes about me in the meetings for being so emotional for the customers. Hand to God, they don't care about the racism, they care more about how I reacted to it.

The other behavioral issues is the general weird passive aggressive comments? I don't know, it seems standard for call center environments based on the videos I've seen around social media. Typical crabs in a barrel mentality, micromanaging, jokes about pushing people out, talks about doing drugs literally in the office, talking about other's disabilities behind their backs but being nice to their face... I could go on. I have never experienced anything like this in my life.

I have learned that the equivalent in the private sector is a mid-level executive for my previous federal work, education, and qualifications. The job market has been difficult and money is tight... so, I am stuck here for now.

I am grateful for the role but I do not like my colleagues except for a few. I think my personal resentment is starting to seep through and I genuinely hate this fucking job.

I want to be positive. I understand some people would kill for a chance to work and pay their bills right now. I should be humble.

It is very, very difficult to work with my colleagues. I just hate the team and the management. I do not mind the work. Any insight is much appreciated.

Is it possible to fail 36 job interviews?

i have been on 35 interviews since October and today makes 36.

I have failed a panel interview today for an Analyst position. The position itself said agriculture insurance analyst. Yet during the interview, she said it was actually more of a sales-aligned position and we would be evaluating the types of insurance the customer aigns to, and assigning it to an underwriter. Another interviewer let me know they have multiple candidates and would follow up in 2 weeks.

I started crying after closing the meeting.

I have 5 years of direct experience in fraud & financial forensic analysis. I am attending a well regarded university for my MBA. When she brought up sales it felt like a curveball! It feels like they didn't read my resume at all! Or maybe I'm just not thinking clearly!

I am trapped at a call center currently without any other income to pay my bills.

I am so distraught. I don't think my interview skills are up to par and my mental health is rapidly deteriorating. I thought bankruptcy would make things better but it has not. I don't understand what all the hard work was for.

Filed for bankruptcy, trapped at a call center, and trying not to let depression consume me.

Just in 2025 I made 113,000 but got laid off couldn't find anything, debt piled up, burned through savings trying to pay for everything. I filed CH7. Now I make like 47,000 before tax at a call center. I lost my house years ago trying to help my sibling in their custody battle but they left the country without their kid anyway. My only parent just texts to ask for money. My ex married and turns out he was dating her for 5 years while we were actively together so that sucks. And my fish died two days ago which may seem small but it was my fault. Life is growing increasingly difficult to deal with. I am trying to stay positive but it is getting difficult.

Accidentally killed my goshiki :(

My pond sprung a leak. As an emergency, I gathered all the fish and placed them into a tank with water and aerator while I got the supplies from Home Depot. They have been in the emergency tank before, for two nights even, without a single issue.

I was gone for maybe 30 minutes. I came back and she was dead. Almost 8 inches and I feel so terrible. The rest are all fine. I assume ammonia so I changed the water again and they are fine. I don't understand why she passed. I am so upset, I did not mean to kill her, the pond just sprung a leak and she's been in the emergency tank with her friends before.

I am so angry at myself for not having the emergency tools in advance, I should have planned better. It is getting dark now and they have to stay in the emergency tank overnight so I can finish the pond, ensure the leak is patched, and refill it in the morning.

This is a rough year. I really didn't mean to kill her.

Rough day. Can anyone share something nice that happened recently?

Facing a bout of depression and trying to fend it off tonight. Life has thrown a few hurdles at me, and now I'm stuck at a dehumanizing call center.

If its alright, would anyone care to share something good that happened recently? A new job, maybe you found something, or did something.

I feel so defeated and would like to hear about other people's days because Florida is bigger than a call center. What else is going on out there?
