I know I'm hard of hearing and got blue tooth type hearing aids. I wear these pins/badges on my work apron, to let people know I'm hard of hearing and know ASL, so they're aware and speak clearly to me. But there's few times I misunderstood people or didn't understand them clearly. I have this Transcribe App, but I don't want to be wasting time to find it on my Iphone and have it ready, are there other Apps that's ready to use on the IPhone? We don't really do meetings at work, except during the holidays, for fun events. That when I struggle a bit, cuz those sitting bit farther are hard for me to understand well. I wish there's a way I can get ASL Intepreter, but having a job coach from this other program, it would be confusing to have 2 people their w me. I joined this new program called EDD GLAD, they're helping me to find jobs, and they know ASL. The other program I'm in, are all hearing and for special needs people, feel like I am in a wrong program or something. So yeah, any better apps I can use on my iPhone besides the Transcribe App? Even a few time at animal shelter volunteer orientation, I struggle to understand during the orientation. It like I need a better accommodation or something (that why even when I volunteer at this animal shelter, I avoid porgrams that use phone and walkie talkies, and limit interaction w people)

I have been volunteering at this Pasadena Humane Society for a while. I have been in several programs, some worked well, others didn’t work out well. I have physical limitations. Other disabilities beside hearing loss. So I had to becareful which program I can join, so I’ll be ok and so on. Recently, I joined 3 volunteer program: Dog Tier Socializing, Data Entry, and also Reading to the dogs. Dog socializing is ok but I got my limits, I can’t handle big and strong dogs, only small breeds, like up to 20 lbs. So having Data Entry and Reading to the dogs, I’m more focus on those 2, I feel safe and comfortable. So, I wouldn’t worried about the big dogs much. But I can read books to them, cuz I’m not getting close to them, not taking them out of kennels either. I did tried shelter greeter before, I got bit bored, and being hard of hearing, sometime it’s hard to understand visitor, or I don’t know what to say or how to answer. So I had to quit that program, and try other programs instead

I had this friend who is deaf w Asperger Autism, and I’m hard of hearing w other disabilities. We had a long complicated friendship. But this time, we ended friendship like 2 years ago. Partly I think it’s also his mom fault, cuz she’s always in the middle of it. And also complaining criticizing and judging too much. I tried to talk to my friend but he won’t talk to me, and always tells his mom on me. What bother me is they never change, and they got this bad habit of holding grudges, bringing up past dramas. I don’t like it how his mom get strict and bad temper, always yell at me in sign language and raising her voice. Once at the union station w them and my mom, abd my gf who is also deaf, his mom accuses of me and my girlfriend ditching them, while they went to the bathroom. We made a mistake cuz, we thought they went to other train station. Or one time at museum, she criticized my gf for coughing while we’re eating at the table. My girlfriend got breathing problem so she wears a trsche, so she tend to cough sometimes. My girlfriend got upset and went to the bathroom to cry, my mom and I had to go comfort her. My friend doesn’t do anything to defend us, just stand or sit there quiet, he doesn’t know how to stand up for himself. I noticed we don’t have anything in common, he just like antique and old stuff and clocks and watches. I just thought after 2 years, they woulda forgotten and moved on. But no, as usual he still won’t talk to me, and his mom still complain critiques me. Felt like I wasted my time, they just stress and overwhelm us you know. I was his only friend, and he got bunch of online hearing friends jet ski water sports. Don’t like it how his mom always tapk to me, instead of him. She tell me that me and him broke up, and he always tell me we break up on and off. Sound weird akward when they say that. So I had to quit thinking about them and move on, at least I got other friends, and my gf too

I been watching some YouTube channels, some families I noticed got into Magic of Gathering. I never got into it, except for Pokemon and Digimon. Are Magic of Gathering easy or hard hobby? Also, what about Dungeon of Dragons? I seen it on YouTube and on stranger things series, it look kinda complicated. Are they all only for multiplayer, like need group of friends to play with those games? I thought about it, but I don’t have anyone to play to try them, no one seem interested in them, so I just stick to collecting Pokemon Cards instead. I used to play Pokemon card games before, now I’m just collecting them for fun

I just started taking this online class, Oral Communication Business, and I introduced myself in the Discussion Forums. And, I have been replying to other students' comments like feedbacks. And another Discussions Forums to ask questions, I asked questions about getting this digital online book, no one answered me. But, only one student did, also got disabilities too I think, that says I should ask ACCESS, which that person is gonna do. But on the Introduction Forum part, I only got one comment, one person comment like how I talk about Switched at Birth, dunno wondering did I make a mistaking saying I have disabilities? That I might of scared people off, made them uncomfortable, for saying hard of hearing w disabilities? Or, I kept comment on half of students posts, but none of them reply back. I'm trying my best not to overwhelm them, being careful not to get too excited ya know. I did emailed the professor for help on digital book, but I figured out how to get it myself. I guess I got a bit excited, want to meet people online so I was trying to be careful ya know. Maybe I shouldn't mention my disabilities, felt like that might of made them uncomfortable or something. I did say I'm majoring in Admin Assistant, going on for Level 3 Certificate though

For a while now, I have been struggling on beating the Elite 4 on Pokemon FireRed, been stuck for a while. Though there's something wrong w the Team:

Jolteon

Arcanine

Dragonair

I was thinking maybe their levels was low, not strong enough or something. So, I decided to swap out Pidgeot and Jolteon, for Articuno and Zapdos instead. And guess what? Finally, those 2 legendary birds Pokemon are helping me to beat the Elite 4, woo hoo! I wanted to add Moltres, but he's the hardest to catch on Mt Ember. So, I just keep Arcanine on my team instead. Beside, he's one of my favorite Pokemon, next to Charizard though. Now, I'm starting to beat the Elite 4 finally, w more power from the Legendary Birds help. I would get Mewtwo, but he's way too strong, I don't want to see it like if I'm cheating or something, like cutting short-cuts by using a super strong Legendary Pokemon. I'm saving the MasterBall later on, till I get to the Jhoto Region, or just use it on Mewtwo then lol. If I still can't beat the Elite 4 w 2 Legendary Birds at the end, then I'll try again, maybe try to catch Moltres again lol

Ever since I got back to job searching, I try not to think too much of my limitations. I even explained to my new job coach from EDD about my condition, that cause me to have some limitations (I explained to her about Charge Syndrome and told her some limits I have). I guess she realized why it's been difficult for me to find jobs easily, and also my current job at this retail store, and also current volunteer at the animal shelter, I usually do easy work, so I won't get hurt injured, so they won't worry about me. Guess that why at work I do easy tasks, like cleaning and sweeping, and other light to moderate work. Just not the heavy stuff, and avoid ladders and cashier (they are aware of my balance and hearing problem). Even at the animal shelter, I usually do data entry assistant, and reading to the dogs. I rarely do social w the dogs, to give them treats, but they won't let me move up to next level to take the dogs out, cuz they're also worried about me getting hurt. Too many big dogs out there. So, I just stick to the 1st level instead. But, I noticed I tend to get nervous hesitant when I give treats to dogs certain breeds, I tend to stand back and just throw it through kennel bars gate. Like if I'm nervous w certain large breeds. Sorry I went off topic lol. Have that happened to you at work/volunteer, they just let you do easy to moderate work, so you won't have any issues problems with it? At work, if there's heavy stuff I tend to ask for help, or I get a cart to use, or sometime I'll just leave it till someone do it. I know I have to push myself,to be confident in myself. I try my best on my own, and do not let my limitations get in the way, but sometime it does. So, that why I avoid certain things that would give me problems. So yeah, my new job coach wants me to do assessment job thing w my vr counselor, to help me narrow down to find better jobs for me. She's nice and helpful, guess she realizes it is a bit struggle w me to find jobs due to my limitations. She just wants me to be safe I guess

Hey I went back to college again, after a year taking a break. Been going to Mt Sac since 98, then again in 2013, and again 2 years ago. I made down friends, but now larwly it’s hard to make friends w deaf and hard of hearing students in computer lab, only one or 2 I know. I remembered 2 years ago, I took English 1A ESL or ASL, I made some friends w deaf and hard of hearing students, which was nice though. Now I’m back again, half of people gone, others got new schedules I think. Now I just use computer at computer lab or dhh center to do homework, but I don’t see much familiar faces anymore. I remember years ago, there used to have special needs students, I used to hang out with them, nowadays they’re not there anymore. I guess things has changed a lot since then, hope I can make some friends at school though

Hey I’m back at Mt Sac, and been hanging out in the DHH center to take online classes. Umm..I miss seeing some DHH friends, guess some left, or they got different schedules, or something else. I’m hard of hearing w other disabilities, would like to make some friends. Last year or 2 year ago, when I took English 1A ESL or ASL, o made some friends Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. Which was nice, but now I’m back and I miss seeing some friends. I remember years ago, there used to be special needs students in other side campus, but don’t see them anymore, I guess things changed a lot since I left in 2003, then came back in 2013, and again 2 years ago lol. Anyway, hope I can make friends thanks

Hey I recently purchased 2 books digital from the Mt Sac bookstore online. One is Oral Communication for Business, other one is Operating Window 11. But I can’t seem to get them, since I already put both access code online on this website I got in the email. Like I must of put wrong email address or something, cuz it’s showing empty. Now my professor sent us a link on canvas for oral communication business, to go ahead and purchase the online digital book, umm does this mean I have to pay again? I did emailed her what’s going on, gonna have to wait till she respond back. I might have of purchase it from the link she gave us, a good deal offer too

I had this friend I I knew since we 1sr met at Mt Sac, he’s deaf w Asperger Autism. We had a good long, but also complicated friendship. Like we go back and forth, he always tell me we broke up and get back together. I’m all patience like ok, but sometime we had big fight then stopped talking to each other for awhile. And his mom is always protective, sometime I don’t like it she get angry moody at me. Last time I heard seen them was 2 years ago. Didn’t like how one time his mom hurt my gf feelings, due to her breathing problem (she’s deaf but got other disabilities too). And like his mom, my friend sometime critics judge me, we used to go to flea market and swap meet every month. Anyway, this is the longest we been holding grudges, I felt like we need to make peace truce. Like move on from past problems, I sent messages on Facebook to some of their friends about it. Sometime I do miss them a bit, but wish things would be different, so yeah just want them to forgive and forget
