Morally Ranking every character featured in Death Battle: Day 16! Where would you guys rank each of the Killer Instinct combatants, and why?

The criteria for each tier goes as follows:

  • Exalted- Individuals who stand as a symbol of moral virtue and kindness. They're not necessarily flawless, mind you, but they always go out of their way to lend a helping hand and see the good in others where most won't, even in spite of having nothing to personally gain from doing so.
  • Good- Those who are all-around dedicated to preserving order for the setting they live in and protect those they care about. Be it through their ego or vindictiveness however, they display enough notable folly to prevent from being wholly admirable.
  • Moral- Generally affable and good-natured people all around, but aren't too outgoing when it comes to heroics and/or charitability. That, or they're generally considered on the right end of the moral spectrum IN SPITE of their otherwise serious flaws.
  • Neutral- Where the line between good and evil is blurred on a teetering scale of equal parts admirable actions and immoral indecency.
  • Impure- Denoting who, while not necessarily "villainous" through-and-through, still aren't very pleasant individuals to be around for the most part.
  • Evil- He/ she who is indisputably a villain, but is way off from being the worst of all time. Behind the cold, hard exterior, their lies a deep-seeded sense of vulnerability that leads the bad guy to show care towards others or put aside their differences with the hero every once in a while to stop a common foe.
  • Vile- The SPECIAL kind of evil that just leaves you sick to your stomach, there is no depravity that these villains won't stoop to an ends means in order to get what they want. And for certain few, depravity itself is the end goal!

How would you guys feel about a season where the teams are divided between contestants who made the final three and contestants who never made it past the merge?

u/No-Shoulder3918 — 8 days ago

I placed 315,645th on Master Ball tier of the ranked Double Battles format. Where did you guys place?

The final team I used near the end consisted of:

  • Mega Emboar- Designated wall breaker equipped with Sucker Punch for priority on incoming attackers, Poison Jab to deal with Fairy types and Drain Punch for health recovery. Base form also carries the Reckless ability for extra-powered up Flare Blitz's.
  • Whimsicott- Primary Tailwind setter and Light Screen setter. I sometimes equip her with a Fairy Feather or Miracle Seed, but mainly stick with Leftovers for the sake of preservation.
  • Tyranitar- Sets up sand to throw off other weather strats and holds Shell Bell to recover damage whilst dishing it out.
  • Aerodactyl- Secondary Tailwind setter. Pairs really well with Tyranitar to throw out double Rock Slides.
  • Farigaraf- Sought out on the team specifically to counter Sneasler, with Armor Tail negating Fake Out and quadruple effective Psychic STAB putting them out of the picture. She also carries Thunder to punish rain set-ups at their own game.
  • Quaquaval- Rounds out the team as a set-up sweeper with Moxie and Aqua Step raising its Attack and Speed respectively. Also carries King's Rock to chance flinching.

Morally Ranking every character featured in Death Battle: Day 5! Where would you guys rank each of the Avengers combatants, and why?

For Marvel and DC specifically, I decided to separate them into different sub-groups of characters to ease the workload that it would take in one day. When giving rankings for these, it's also probably best to keep in mind how the vastly different interpretations among writer coalesce on-average.

Some notes to keep in mind about the research I made for this ranking:

  • Similar to how Triple F did when figuring out which Smash Bros. character had appeared in the most television appearances, I decided to count all sets of two eleven-minute "mini-sodes" as one full half-hour episode each. This means that to count as one whole appearance in a half-hour showing, a character simply has to show up in one out of two or three segments (i.e.- Patrick doesn't appear in episode 1b of SpongeBob SquarePants season 1, "Reef Blower", but does appear in episodes 1a and 1c, "Help Wanted" and "Tea at the Treedome" respectively). The second upper tier exists to denote the characters who do appear in every episode, but not all individual segments.
  • Regarding 45-minute specials, such as Rugrats' "Runaway Reptar" or Danny Phantom's "Reign Storm" for instance, most sources cite them as taking up two separate episode production slots. As such, I am counting them as two episodes.
  • Since the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters are based on the designs from the 1987 series, that is the reference point I will be using for determining their amount of appearances. Garfield, likewise, is judged based off his first animated series, since he doesn't even have an original show from Nickelodeon at the time of writing this.
  • For The Loud House, I settled on counting Lincoln and Lucy's appearances in just the first nine seasons. This is because seasons ten and eleven are long ways yet from airing in either of their totalities, meaning data from them remains inconclusive for the time being.
  • For most of the characters here, I only counted physical appearances and not their likeness showing up in things like pictures and inanimate objects (i.e.- Patrick appearing as a snowman in season 11's "Goons on the Moon" or Lincoln appearing in title cards of episodes he isn't actually physically present in). The one exception to this rule I made was for Reptar, who is an in-universe fictional character appearing prominently in the forms of merchandising and through mascot costumes.
  • Characters being mentioned or simply appearing in non-transformative archived footage weren't counted.
  • Subsequent appearances in spin-off material considered separate from the original show, such as Rugrats: Tales from the Cribs or Kamp Koral, aren't counted unless that character a) debuted in a spin-off, like Korra did in The Legend of Korra, or b) is more well regarded for prevalence in said spin-off, such as Ronnie Anne being more associated with The Casagrandes (in the hypothetical scenario where she was included in the All-Star Brawl games).

With all that said, the full order and amount of episodes each character appears in are as follows:

  1. Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael and Donatello= All four appear in all 193 episodes of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987), making for a 100% appearance record.
  2. Nigel Thornberry= Appears in all 91 episodes of The Adventures of The Wild Thornberrys, making for a 100% appearance record.
  3. CatDog= Both ppears in all 68 episodes of CatDog, making for a 100% appearance record.

Marking a decade since The Loud House premiered its first episode, here's my design interpretations of Lincoln and his sisters, aged ten years into the future, loosely inspired by the episode "Crystal Ballin'" and other fan AUs I've seen floating around.

Weird to think that this was once hyped up as the second coming of Nickelodeon back in it's heyday, only for the internet to then do a complete 180 and turn on it as it went on longer, as seems to be the case with most things that get popular on the internet.

While lack of confirmation for a twelfth season renewal signifies it may unfortunately be the end of the road for the crew working behind the show (and in such a wonderful time for the Hollywood animation industry might I add 😑), I do hope that the consensus on this series will start to veer more into more positive, or at least less vindictive light now that it's seemingly no longer another cash cow casting a shadow on other shows alongside SpongeBob.

And if any of my watchers here are fans of The Loud House, my dear friend, MrAnimatedToon, has just uploaded the prologue to his re-write of The Loud House Movie, which I highly recommend giving a read and sharing feedback with him on!

MrAnimatedToon has helped me out a lot with my own fan-fic comic series, Through Slime and Space, and I subsequently helped him in this re-write. His passion and understanding for The Loud House resonated with each chapter in this series, and such fruits of labour deserve their acknowledgment en masse. Share the story around with your friends and other fans, and keep an eye out for more entries in this unfolding re-write!

Furthermore, you can also find it uploaded on Wattpad, Fanfiction net and Archive Of Our Own
