First time ever baking Jesuíta cakes! They are a typical Portuguese cake

So the puff pastry is store bought.

The inside -> egg yolk + lemon jest + almond flour+ sugar + cinnamon filling

Top -> merengue (added to much lemon juice)

Took 40 min and my oven is gas... I hate it because I have no idea of the temperature.

Next time I want a thicker filling and maybe I start cooking without the merengue and just add it halfway 🤷‍♀️

All recipes I saw online added the merengue at the same time, so I don't know ...

10h to create a total of 30 tulips, good timing of to slow?

I made a total of 19 fully closed tulips, 6 semi open and 5 fully open.

I had fun but when I saw how long it took me I was very shocked! I did around 2h a day (when my little toddler was not jumping of top of me).

The fully open one is definitely my favorite but this one took 35min each one...

I made 30 tulips and it took me around 10h from beginning to end.

Each of the fully open tulip took me 36min ( I only made 5 of these).

I'm very shocked by the time they take, but I really enjoyed making them.

Calculating costs for this flowers and quality review?

So, I have been doing this flowers, my intention is to create a bit of stock and then try out local markets and maybe online.

So after I made 2 tulips and enjoyed the process I decided to batch make several ones of different colors to see what I enjoyed the most.

In total I made 30 tulips ( 5 fully open, 6 semi open and 19 fully closed) it took me a total of 10h what really shocked me.

I have been doing a couple of flowers like this, but it's the first time I do a lot of the same and calculate the time.

If you guys are curious there where 2 types in the end I did from begging to end to see how much time I needed.

So the fully open tulip:

Materials cost 0.75 cent

Time 36 min

Semi open tulip:

Materials cost 0.4 cent

Time 20 min

My question is, how much would I charge? (I'm in the UK).

Because minimum wage is around £13 per hour so means the the base production cost of the fully open tulip would be around £7.25 that's madness for me...

I'm very surprised by the amount of time the tulips took me, I want to try out more elaborate flowers like Lilys and nenúfares and Im almost afraid to calculate the time those would take.

Mix "charcuterie board" girl dinner - This made my baby move!

Really didn't felt like cooking, and I didn't feel the baby move in a couple of hours (I'm 38 weeks pregnant) so I designed this plate.

...

Cheddar cheese, mix dry nuts, chocolate candy,

3D Doritos,

Chouriço slices,

Olives with peppers.

...

I'm happy to say she kicked a lot and really enjoyed my foodies!

Three little hair clips I made today! Cherry blossons, acute bow to go with it and orange blossons.

I'm expecting my toddler to scream "MINE" when she sees them 😅

I bought already 3 years ago metal hair clips when I started to embroidered flowers, but never finished that project...

Today I finally used them because I thought it would look cute! And I have been doing several flowers with pipe cleaners.

Loved it and going to do more.

The bow was a experience because my little one loves bows and they can be quite expensive.

So it would be financially smart to start doing some instead of buying them.

First ever hair clips, Sakura blossom and orange blossom

Next time I'm going do a smaller orange blossom and use less bright color for the leaves. But I literally ran out of green pipe cleaners 🙃

It's literally a lot bigger then the really one!

Can you guys give me more tips?

Cold dinner for very pregnant lady suffering from the heat weave

This heat wave is terrible, I'm 8 months pregnant, I'm hurting, swollen and sweating everywhere!!!

Sleeping it's almost impossible because of how uncomfortable I'm all the time.

The only thing that makes me less miserable is very icy water and the 1h long foot rubs I get in the end of the day by my partner when our toddler finally goes to sleep (which is also very late).

Last night girl dinner:

Big glass of icy orange juice,

1 slice of sourdough with cream cheese and avocado,

Lots of apricots,

Half a chocolate croissant.

Give me some advice please...

So...

I love watercolor but I feel really silly to jump into this without looking at the basics, I actually really liked the sketch I have done and then I thought "Need to make it lighter to do the first later of watercolor, then I can add the detail with black waterproof pen"

This was to challenge myself because I always just do the line art and THEM I color.

Now I hate how it looks, can anyone give me tips?

Also ... I know, I have very different shades for the leaves...

Bloody hell...

Help me save this, please!

I'm terrible at finishing sketch books, I'm trying to make myself accountable and finish this one!

I would not enjoy a sketch or hate how the coloring looked and would literally drop the book, so no kidding...

I must have around dozens of books unfinished!! This time I want to finish even if I don't like most of the drawing. (It helps this is a tiny book and I actually only have more 5 pages left)

This oranges are a perfect example of something I liked while I was drawing them but the moment I took the final picture I find that they look odd.

Any ideias why?

I still intent on doing a light watercolor.

This time I wanted my nails to have my new fruit obsession... Cherries!!!

Me and my toddler have been eating so many but so many cherries, she got very excited about my new nails.

And then demanded more cherries ❤️

u/No_Cartographer_2735 — 25 days ago

I'm actually happy with the yellow around the cherries! My sketchbook is getting full of silly doodles that match my current nails.

u/No_Cartographer_2735 — 25 days ago

Finish my cherries today! The toddler running around didn't really helped and I ended up bleeding out of the line...

I added the yellow ( it's some cheap acrylic markers) to hide that and I actually like how it ended 😅

Another set of nails another cute colouring match

I'm going to have my nails done tomorrow and with all the work recently I almost didn't do this drawing. I wanted the bubble bee to look like the Red-tailed one but it looks a little funny...

Just got this book and I really love the illustrations!

I only have colored the first page, now I'm finding courage to go the the "This book belongs to..."

This was literally the first book I ever bought for coloring! I want to help small artists and she as such a cute aesthetic, I'm totally in love!

Do you struggle with loving the art and because of that being to afraid to ruin it with bad coloring? 🙃

I struggle with even the stuff I draw... Because sometimes I go... "It was so nice, now it's crap"

IbisPaint for tradicional artist?

So for all of my life I have drawn traditional but after going through a mental block (years long) I decided to try again and I have been now for the last year doing an easy little project. (It starts like that but I'm already making it more complicated)

Something that I could show my little toddler one day and be proud of!

I'm trying to create a coloring mood tracker book but after doing several pages my friend asked how I was going to edit to then eventually use Canva to create the file to upload and I went quiet...

I feel dumb, I also made some errors and I believe that using layers would be very helpful. I do need to first learn how to use it...

So you guys think Ibis paint is beginner friendly AND what pen would you recommend me to get?

Right now I have just downloaded the app on my Android tablet and have been doodling with my finger 😅

Pictures of the silly doodles I made and the sleep tracker.

I wasn't sure what to get this time, but I have been drawing lots of lavender and bees, so guess what I asked my esthetician to do 😅
