'You will miss the shots that you will never take' had a good day with her in class but with a twist
18M from Sydney, Australia a uni student (or college student whatever) and today I'm glad that I have approached someone.
I had a maths class test today. Usually my maths class is 2PM but came at 12PM due to the being a test (my teacher didn't mind); class usually is back to back from 12PM-6PM. I was sitting in the back of the classroom and there was a WF sitting directly in front of me. It was apparently her first time/week attending the class despite our class is already 4 weeks in.
During the last minute of the class test, my heart started racing because usually every week in maths class, we split into small groups around the classroom. There are multiple whiteboards around the room, so each group picks a whiteboard and works through the tutorial questions together. The teacher then walks around from group to group, checks our work and helps us with the questions. I could tell that she was probably going to look for a group once the test was finished.
There was already a group of guys working together on the left side of the classroom (me and her were both on the LHS of the classroom), while other students were starting to form their own groups at the different whiteboards. Since she was sitting directly in front of me and didn't seem to have a group yet, I figured this was probably my chance to ask her.
I was a bit nervous and stuff and I looked around the room and trying to find other groups but at that point of time I said to myself "fuck it, I'm initiating the convo with her. You will miss 100% of the shots that you won't take."
I asked her "Hey would you mind if you join my group?" and she said "Yes sure"
Initially she seemed a bit cold/reserved so I wasn't sure whether if the interaction was going to go. Another guy joined us for one minute and he went to other group, which was literally me and her working through math questions on the whiteboard. As the lesson progressed, she got more engaged; which we were both laughing and giggling at the things.
At the end of the lesson we both exchanged Instagrams and she gave it to me. When I got back home I looked at her profile and realised she is with her boyfriend from a post she made like a month or two ago.
But hey at the end of the day I'm glad approached her and we had a nice chat.
Do you think SCS should do a gearbox overhaul from the ground up?
Like especially in the shifting/downshifting in automatic mode it feels a bit lacking to me. For example a 12 gear speed truck like even at 80km/hr it's still in 11th gear not 12th gear. Only it goes to 12th gear when it reaches 85km/hr+.
When downshifting or slowing down it doesn't downshift unless it goes to 1000 rpms. The 'retarder' isn't a 'retarder' at all. Like when turning on the retarder it doesn't downshift only downshifts when the truck reaches 1000 rpms.
This makes me favoring to use manual transmission over automatic transmission until they overhaul the automatic transmission.
I'm not sure if you truckers IRL notice this in the game.
What is the pros/cons of a Steam Workshop Mod vs File Mod?
Like why would (a) modder(s) use Steam Workshop Mod over a File Mod vice versa?
Are the majority of AMs in the West aware of media stereotypes?
In my anecdotal experience as a someone who is raised up in Australia, I never ever hear them complain about media stereotypes/how they are being treated as undesirable in the West or are they totally 'UNAWARE' of it?
Lost my AirTag either today/yesterday but ended up several streets away.
Summary: I thought my car keys + Air Tag was missing but the Air Tag is the only one missing.
Yesterday I was driving back home and didn't realize my AirTag for my car keys are missing until today based on Find My App. I was fiddling with the keyring and the AirTag attached to my car keys and didn't notice the Air Tag dropped.
In the afternoon, I went to the location where the AirTag was at and knocked on the door at a home and asked them if they picked up any car keys and stuff because it's around the location and they said no.
I tried playing the sound of the missing Air Tag at that location for 5 minutes straight and I couldn't locate it. I rang my dad and ask him to find my car keys in my house and he said my car keys is there. It's only the Air Tag that is missing then.
During this evening I checked Find My and the Air Tag was at a park not far away from me and now it went back to the location that that I went today. So I suspect that someone has went to the park this evening with the Air Tag on them.
So what should I do? Should I go to other houses in the approximate area? I don't want to go to the same house again because they think that I might be annoying them even though they said they don't have the key.

Are the majority of AMs in the West aware of media stereotypes?
Do you guys agree being 'overly polite' to people, they think you are emotionally insecure and they think you are walking on egg shells?
Like my mother who is 50, she is overly polite to people or her colleagues (in her workplace). When I was younger I'm with her in the public whenever she has a question she will always ask "Excuse me do you know where is that...".
I'm currently living with my parents and every time before mum goes work she buys something (like food) and give to her colleagues/workers. I swear she is a type of 'people pleaser'.
Like I mean banter is a thing such as if I get a job eventually I won't be as overly polite because I find it weird and inauthentic as a guy. I would be a rowdy guy such as 'Good shit mate', smth like that.
Which car brands do you think will exit out of the Australian Market within 5-10 years time?
I can see Peugeout being the next one as the sister brand Citroen left the market in 2024 due to only 87 of new sales at the time.
Guys which one do you think will be released first? Road Trip or Coaches?
At this rate SCS mentioned in a live stream that they will do each vehicle gameplay video but in each gameplay video it takes them like two or three weeks. E.g. another Road Trip video we got today.
Since Road Trip has separate vehicle-brand DLCs and Coaches unfortunately into one single pack at this point I think one of Road Trip Car Pack DLCs will get released first.

18 [M] Syd, Aus - Long Term Relationship
Hi there 18 year-old [M] from Sydney Australia and currently living there. About me. I'm currently a uni student first year in medical science and I really enjoy listening to music (karaoke), driving, going to places. I'm open to trying out new stuff.
When I was a little kid I wanted to become a truck driver. Every day out the front window I would see trucks passing down my street. This made me interested in getting heavy machineries in thefuture.
If you are from/in Sydney, Canberra, Newcastle, or Wollongong hit me up. I don't mind the distance I will drive there.
Question
18, East Asian man from Sydney
About me is I wanted to become a truck driver when I was really young and what my family told me that 'if you don't have a prestigious job no one will ever chase you. I laughed it off in my head because my future profession wouldn't be prestigious in their eyes.
I stumbled upon a YouTuber, shoutout to Jett Franzen on YouTube! Of the video 'To pull women if you are chopped'. He does content about 'philosophical lifestyle commentary' and stuff. Long story short. He said 'have one x factor talent/quality' smth along those lines I'm not really sure if he meant by like in terms of having a career/profession that stands out from your crowd or something.
Question
Will I get less attraction from WFs if I become a truck driver or is it the other way around? Or is job title doesn't matter at all? I mean for us AMs if they became doctors they would be labelled as nerdy or stuff like that.
Got rejected 4 times, great!!!
18, Sydney Australia and in the past few months since I started uni in March this year I asked out 4 WFs so far and I got rejected by all of them, and great!!! Nothing's letting me down
I have signed up for Online Dating (Tinder) almost a month ago (wow time flies so fast) and during that time I got matched only one white girl and we exchanged had a chat and exchanged photos and a few days later she blocked me for no reason. I asked my friends to feedback me and they said that I was sending huge chunks of messages and there was a mismatch as she was sending short messages and eventually she blocked me.
I was watching a video of a guy from YT (shoutout to Jett Franzen) of 'How to get women if you are chopped' and he said "It is a rep. It is how you get better. No one cares if it took you a thousand shots to land this pretty girl" and what said right there where it really shaped my confidence of not getting scared or afraid of approaching. I will still keep on going even though if I get rejected 667 times. There is a saying 'Never back down never give up'
Have you guys been approached before and how many times?
I'm not really sure if I was approached, it was once. It at uni and an AF asked me for a charger and I don't remember why I left on the spot at the time.
