How to have front foot closer to ground upon toe off?

Alternating slides of me and Lyle’s side my side to show the differences in similar positions.

I noticed that during my starts, even though I am applying more force now, my body is going vertical instead of horizontal. This leads to same stride length despite more power since I’m pushing up and not forward.

How do I fix this? What are some things to cue horizontal push during drive phase?

What are good dairy/meat farms to WWOOF in europe? (that speak english)

Hello!

I am looking to WWOOF with my friend this summer somewhere in Europe. Our top choice is Switzerland but all the listings we found are not listed in English. Just wondering if you guys have any recommendations of European farms that specialize in dairy or meat that are worth going to.

Thank you!

Is it possible to get into T5 Med Schools Without Having a Special Life/Activity?

Like is good grades, good ecs, good MCAT, and essays enough?

I keep seeing people who get admitted into T5s who have like 1 in a million life story, insane athletic genetics, extremely notable in a non-medical field, or something that the average person cannot achieve even if they max out their academic stats.

I'm talking player for a national sports team, have the craziest upbringing ever, or just a microcelebrity+ in whatever niche they are in.

Am I tripping? Wouldn't a small base eliminate between CH3 and ET and when you perform ozonolysis, the ethyl ends up on the other side of the chain?

Why does the Nissan Z sound mushy and weak?

Might get downvoted for this.

But I’ve watch a lot of car videos and have listened to a lot of different engine noises. And I was just wondering why the VR30 in the RZ34 sounds like a vacuum?

I understand that it’s very quiet when stock but even when you modify it, it still sounds mostly like intake and air noises rather than engine chop.

For example, the best sounding V6 I have heard IMO is the Lexus V6 used in RC350s. It almost sounds like their V8 if you have a modified exhaust and the rev limiter is so clean and crisp. Even when you rev the engine, it’s like you can hear every individual chop and “explosion”.

At first, I thought it was the turbo system of this engine but when I compared it to the B58, the B58 still sounds more crisp and defined than this engine. There’s some burbles going on but you can somewhat hear the individual chops.

The only time the Z sounds good to me is when it idles with a modified exhaust(there you start to hear the individual explosions) But once you rev it, it all becomes mushed together.

Anyone know the science behind this? I hope I explained what I am trying to say. I’ve been looking at this car as a potential purchase but the exhaust is arguably the worst aspect of this car.

Hello!

My semester in orgo 1 is about to end and I’m trying to push for an a in this class. Unfortunately, by my estimates, I would have to get a 100 on the final to get an A in this class.

Anyone have tips on how to get a 100?

We had 3 midterms and I got a 82.5, 67, and the third one will come out soon but I’m not feeling too good after seeing the answer key.

My frustration is that I know every single reaction covered in this class and also why each step occurs on a foundational level as well as all the material we covered. I just struggle to apply it onto tests because for the past 2 tests, it’s stuff I have not seen on practice questions and additional practice questions. After doing practice questions upon practice questions, it’s super easy to solve similar problems because you have encountered them before.

However, the test is stuff we don’t practice on so I perform horribly despite knowing and understanding the material.

Any tips? If I don’t get an A, I’m still going for an A- which requires an exam score in the 90s

Hello!

I am almost ending my freshman year and so far, I have no extracurriculars except 4 content creation jobs and track and field.

For context, I currently go to a T3 LAC and I ended up picking this school because I heard research and jobs offerings had much less competition compared to a big state school, say UNC.

This year, I applied for research in chemistry department only to get denied(a few freshmen I knew got it so its possible for freshmen to get research) and I also just applied for a TA position only to get denied(despite showing major improvement through the entire semester and ending the final exam with almost a perfect score).

I’m seeing all of my freshmen friends get into these positions, getting summer research, getting research positions at the school, and much more. While I’m here relying on school activities due to financial issues/transportation issues just to be denied from all of them.

Not only will I end freshman year with no extracurriculars, but I will also likely finish sophomore year with no premed oriented extracurriculars.

Is there anything you guys recommend me doing during sophomore year? I am pretty sure I will spend my summer doing shadowing and volunteering but even then, I will still appear inferior to my peers in terms of accomplishments.

I am genuinely interested in the things I apply for and I reiterate that to the people handling the applications but I still don’t get anything.

Please help, I don’t know what to do that will help me stand out and recover from nothing.

Hello!

I am 90% sure I am going to get a Nissan Z Performance as my first car and I’m trying to get one under 20k miles(lower the better) and completely clean history.

Recently, I’ve been thinking about the financing problem. How much down payment should I save up for and how long should I wait, in terms of the market. Are the prices good right now? Will they stay the same or go down? The reason why I want to finance instead of buy it in cash(my initial plan) is to build credit history. Im almost 20 and this would be my first major purchase.

For context, I am in college on practically a full ride so there is no living expenses at all. All the money I make right now just goes straight to savings for the car. In a month, I’ll probably make $600 minimum but I’ve been averaging around 1.5-2k recently.

Any advice from you guys in terms of financing and the current market and trends for this car? Insurance is not a problem for me. Honestly, the biggest problem would be keeping this car in a garage or sheltered parking.

Thank you!

EDIT - INSURANCE PRICE IS NOT A PROBLEM FOR ME(it is under $100 a month)

My monthly earnings is also a VERY conservative number, it is the absolute worst case scenario that all the videos I make get no views
