While I personally find the lore reveal in Dragon Age 4: The Veilguard somewhat disappointing—particularly the notion that all aspects of Thedas, including the Veil, the Darkspawn, the Golden City, and even the elves themselves, are created by elves—I do not believe this significantly undermines the Chantry mythology. I have not yet played Dragon Age 4, but I have come across some spoilers, which have reinforced my suspicions regarding The Maker.

I theorize that The Maker may have died, and what Andraste encountered was possibly an echo. Here are the supporting points for this hypothesis.

1. The Maker created the Fade and the first children---the spirits.
2. Discovering that the spirits only mimics things. The Maker created the physical world and mortals, if not just the humans, the second children. Because the world does not change easily, the second children must get creative to survive and live. The creation of the physical world most likely also refer to the creation of the titans as those creatures are also called "The Pillars of The Earth".
3. The spirits became interested or jealous of the physical world for taking away the attention of the father away from them. So, they started a war against the titans and harvested lyrium from them to create bodies for themselves. Thus, becoming the first elves.
4. The myth about Elgar'nan beating up his father, the Sun, for burning the things of the earth.
5. Both dwarves and elves tell of a time when humans did not exist.
6. Elves are the "descendant" of spirits" while Dwarves are "children of the earth". Corypheus implies that the Qunari are genetically modified. But where did the humans come from?
7. Corypheus said that the throne was already empty by the time they enter the Golden City.

If we lined up Solas's version of the events with the Chantry's family-oriented creation myth, the truth must have resembled something like this.

• The first elves, led by Elgar'nan, went to war against the first dwarves.
• The Maker did not like this and took away the titans to safety.
• Elgar'nan, who wanted the lyrium "the things of the earth", abused The Maker to surrender the wounded Titans.
• Mythal begged Elgar'nan to stop.
• The Maker brokered a peace between the two races through marriage. The half-elf, half-dwarf children became the humans.
• The dreams of the titans becoming the Darkspawn Virus was not only a result of being separated from their hosts, but also their anger against the first elves for beating up The Father.
• Many years later, The Maker knew the inevitable failure of the Golden City quarantine and tried to rescue as many innocent mortals as he could. Unfortunately, there only was Andraste.
• Andraste, knowing how the Fade and the spirits work, suggested to The Maker that they create lots of "Healing Spirits" to counter the Darkspawn Virus by creating a religion around kindness and faithfulness, the complete opposite of what Elgar'nan did to everyone, and spreading it to the entire world. So that by the time the virus escapes, there is more than enough healing spirits on guard.

Back when Infinity Blade 1 was a new game on IOS, I had the crazy theory that the protagonist (who would later on be named “Siris”) was secretly reincarnating and you are not actually playing as his descendants.

However, unlike how Infinity Blade 2 officially revealed it, my theory was that the reason why the Infinity Blade can kill immortals is because it takes away their immortality and then transfers it to the next person stabbed.

So, the plot twist in the context of my theory was that Raidriar did not check if the sword is charged up or not with immortality energy, all that he knew is that it scanned the bloodline of the “first ancestor”. I believed he made Siris accidentally immortal.

Which is why when we next meet him, in a different reincarnation that is, the Infinity Blade works against him, sucking up his immortality and now free for transferring.
