Why aren't 3 segment chain links a thing?

Like this cheap render I made of one.
Besides production cost, wouldn't it be better for tension? Or do chains have to snap eventually, like asking to make bridges sturdier?

[Portal] Why didn't Aperture Science just shoot a Portal to the Moon?

The climax of Portal 2 is the moon shot, built up by Cave mentioning Moonrocks being a great portal conductor.

Now the first thing you'd think they do, especially being as lenient as aperture when it comes to safety, is just shoot a portal straight to the moon and test what happens "when Test Subjects are locked in a room with a portal to the moon", finally even using it to source their moonrocks for basically free without spending 70 million on them.

Unless that's what they did, because at 50.000 bucks per gram, 70M pays you around 1.4kg of moonrocks. But even then you could just sell these moonrocks back to NASA and avoid bancruptcy

With the whole "Cave and Caroline are Chells parents" thing

What exactly is the evidence against Cave and Caroline having a daughter, Cave urging Caroline to give her up for adoption, some scientist adopting and raising her, which is why she was at BYDTWD and mentioned Cave as "Mr. Johnson", completely oblivious. This would also fit into the "You are adopted" jokes and later "confession" of GlaDOS (first she teases you, later after Old Aperture and Wheatley teasing you she says "You ARE adopted and that's terrible".

Which again could fit into the "Caroline is Chells mom" theory, as GlaDOS only really learnt about herself during Old Aperture, realizing Chell is her daughter and therefore releasing her once back in power. She just never mentioned it to chell to not make her go completely mad over all of it, as Aperture and her being trapped there seemed to have been for a substantial part of her life. During BYDTWD she was no way older than 10 with how she wrote on the potato chart. In the game she seems to be in her 20s. Considering that this was the day everything went completely south in aperture, it's not unlikely that chell never left Aperture from this day on.

Because while some say that this theory is implied at in the game, others say that it's really not that possible and wrong

How didn't GlaDOS know about Tartaros or Old Aperture in general?

She has an elevator shaft straight down to Tartaros 9, where the hatch for Test Shaft 9 is located. How did Miss "I have to test things" never tested throwing a remote camera down the elevator to see what's going on down there.

Unless we go as far to say that GLaDOS was in such a shock of what actually happened to her, that she straight up forgot or ignored the shaft due to trauma

If Comedy = Tragedy + Time, then

Comedy + Time = Tragedy + 2xTime | - Comedy

Time = Tragedy + 2xTime - Comedy

This means that Time = Tragedy + 2xTime - (Tragedy + Time)

Therefore Time = Time

It also means that Tragedy + Comedy = Time + 2x Tragedy

How would infinite guests check out from Hilbert's hotel?

Hilbert's Hotel has infinite rooms with infinite guests.
If another group with infinite guests arrive, every vacated guest moves to room number n*2. All odd numbered are free now, there are infinite rooms, everyone gets a room.

But I only ever read about check ins. What about infinite guests who are now done with their vacation and want to leave?
Or is it Hotel California where you can check out any time you like but you can never leave?

What Biter nests are absorbing pollution here?

The closest Biter Nests are several chunks away, the closest one is like 8 chunks away

https://preview.redd.it/etndqqvoi2dh1.png?width=357&format=png&auto=webp&s=a7f93c01ebcc16f613e3f8ab7179d29848c5e789

The closest Biter Nests I have are like double the distance to the radius of the pollution cloud.
Yet the Pollution Menu shows that 13 nests absorb a tiny amount of it.

Do they spawn raids? It hasn't happened yet a few hours since I cleaned out the nests near the cloud

Why can't 0/0 exist?

I don't want to go into the deep rabbithole of why x/0 can't exist, I just want to touch on the fact that any number multiplied by 0 is 0, so technically, 0/0 should be 0.

There's already so many exceptions because of 0, like 0^0=1 which doesn't make any logical sense and it just defined to have an answer, so why doesn't 0/0=0 work the same way?

0*0=0

Do you come back to your first Spawn Planet?

There are so many planets out there, so you can very well claim the entire Planet as your own

Has Em ever talked about being considered the best rapper of all time?

I believe he mentioned that while 8-Mile's story is fictional, it could very well be his autobiography.

So in the end a street kid that dreams big, but actually makes it big. You cannot know that in your past. Did he help out other street kids?

I can't see my variables

I have a Blueprint actor called BP_Room. It contains a bool for every wall to (de)activate on demand. Now in my RoomManager, that spawns these rooms in, I get the object reference but I cannot find any of the variables, although they are public and exposed.

What am I missing here

Did you change endings after Phantom Liberty?

This game gets me emotionally invested way too much sometimes.
I just finished PL with the Moon ending. Now I am unsure if I should load an earlier save and try out the other one.

It's not that I can't technically. It's that I don't know if I'm ready for that mentally.
I heard what happens in the other ending but I also kinda want to try out the rewards.

But it also feels like that that's not doing justice and I have to "enjoy" the other ending with another playstyle, as I am too immersed into my current selfless V.

Plus no matter if I do it, if I load the current save afterwards, the process is gone anyway

Is the Tanishi T400 an easter egg?

Someone said it's an easter egg for the T400 in Terminator.

But what I wanted to talk about is another potential easter egg that I've read about, that could be seen as far fetched.

CDPR is a polish company
Tani in polish means "Cheap"

So Tanishi T 400 = Cheap shiT 400
