A while back I posted some custom E46 items and asked what could be better. Here's what changed.

Front Double Cup Holder + Wireless Charger. Built-in 20W charger. Biggest request was fitting bigger phones, so I widened the phone pocket from 81mm to 86.2mm (3.19" to 3.39"). Even large phones now fit, tested with iPhone Pro Max, works with most cases too.

Hey Z3 owners!

I've been designing and making custom parts for the BMW Z3. So far I've made:

• Cup holders
• Replacement button covers with integrated phone chargers

Now I'm thinking about making a wireless phone charger that replaces the ashtray. It seems like a good way to modernize the interior while keeping it looking clean.

What do you think? Would you use something like that?

Also, are there any other parts or quality-of-life upgrades you feel the Z3 is missing today? I'd love to hear ideas for things that make these cars more practical without ruining the OEM look.

I'm designing these E36 fast chargers.

Which one looks the most OEM to you?

The first three options have a textured finish to match the center console, while options 4, 5, and 6 have a smooth finish.

My friend with E46 asked me if I could make him some minimalistic looking phone charger, and I ended up with this modular button system.

Each module drops into the factory button slot:

- Single USB-A — up to 24W

- Dual USB-C — up to 30W per port

- Dummy covers

- Optional rocker switch for anyone who wants to wire in extra stuff

I did connect chargers wires into the cigarette lighter wires from the inside, so they just share power with the factory socket.

No cutting, no glue, everything clicks in like OEM.

What else would you guys want to see in this spot? I've got space for a few more module ideas.

This version includes a built-in 20W wireless charger. One of the biggest pieces of feedback I received was about fitting larger phones, so I redesigned the phone pocket. It has now been increased from 81mm to 86.2mm, and I've tested it with iPhone Pro Max models. It should now fit virtually all modern smartphones, even many with cases.

This version also includes the same 20W wireless charging module. The phone compartment has been updated from 83.2mm to 84mm. Unfortunately, it can't be made any wider because of the E46 center console design, but it still fits most large phones comfortably.

Front single cup holder with phone pad. This one also has the same 20W wireless charging module, but it has a slightly wider phone cavity at 83.2mm.

Front double cup holders with wireless charger. This version has a 20W wireless charging module. The phone pocket is 81mm wide because of the center console, so it could not be made wider. It fits most phones, but very large phones with thick cases may not fit, so please check before ordering.

I spent quite a lot of time making and testing these parts to get the fitment right, so I wanted to share what I have for the E36.

I make USB chargers with single USB-A 24W and dual USB-C 30W per port.

Cigarette lighter replacement is plug and play and comes with OEM style connector attached.

Button blank replacement chargers come with two wires and need to be connected manually. I recommend connecting them to the cigarette lighter wires.

I also have front and rear cup holders.

Worldwide shipping is available. Parts are made in Lithuania, EU. For US orders import fees are prepaid.

I’m also interested to hear what small parts or upgrades you think are still missing for the E36. Maybe I could make them.

I make custom BMW Z3 parts, USB chargers, button covers and cup holders.
I noticed a lot of Z3 owners have some missing/broken button covers. They could be easily replaced with USB phone charger instead of also I do make aftermarked button covers which fits like OEM.

My latest part is cig lighter replacement with double USB-C charger, it has OEM fit connectors, it's plug and play.

Chargers does support up to 28watts, allow to charge phones fast.

Cup holders fits ALL z3 center console's except Z3M with leather interior.
I do have replacement part for different variations, with rest bottom cover if there was old OEM cup holders.
Also I'm looking for new ideas what yours Z3 is missing for today? Or any other plastic parts are broken and it's really hard to find.

I make custom BMW parts, for now most of my parts are for 1990-2010 BMW's.
I would like to ask maybe F30 is missing for something? Phone charger, holder, cup holders, etc?

I've been designing these rear cup holders for the E46 and can't decide which version I prefer, so I have smooth and textured options

At the moment, I can make both versions, but I'd love to hear your opinions. Which one would you choose for your car?

Looking for more ideas on what other modules/buttons I could make for these slots.

Also, how often do you actually see all the button spaces fully used in an E46? Most cars I see still have a lot of blanks.

I make these cup holders for BMW E60/E61 models. Have for both LHD and RHD options.

It might be a convenient solution for someone who doesn’t have cup holders in the center console and doesn’t want to replace the whole interior trim panel.

Also, I’m looking for more ideas, what is your E60/E61 missing? Maybe I can make it.
