Core idea: get thousands of characters into a level without killing your frame rate or fighting plugin install headaches. What it does: VAT + HISM rendering — animation is baked to a texture and read on the GPU, no per-instance skeletal cost. Built and stress-tested toward 10,000+ characters. Spline-based seating — outline a stand section with a spline, it scanline-fills seats automatically. Curved rows, sloped stands (height interpolates along the spline), and cutout holes for aisles or camera pits — just drop in extra spline loops, no manual gaps. Weighted character variants — mix multiple character meshes with custom probability weights, each with its own random animation phase offset so the crowd doesn't move in lockstep. Paired chair states — every character variant can carry its own chair mesh (open/closed, occupied/empty), driven automatically by which character got picked. Look-at target — point the whole crowd at a single focal point (a stage, a pitch, whatever), with a bit of natural yaw scatter so it doesn't look robotic. Fully Blueprint + Python, zero C++ — no plugin to compile, no engine-version binary compatibility roulette. Everything lives self-contained inside the project's Content folder. Live in-editor updates — move a spline point or tweak a spacing value in the Details panel and the crowd rebuilds itself automatically via Construction Script. No "click to regenerate" button. Built as a level-dressing/editor-time tool — bake your crowd once, it's a static part of the level from there.
