Plans changed. How do I store my steaks?

About 12 hours ago I started dry brining 2 Ribeyes uncovered in the fridge.

Plans changed, can't eat them tonight or tomorrow and I go out of town on Monday so it would be at least a week before I can cook them.

I could:

  1. Cook them tomorrow am and reheat them on the day I'm going to consume them.

  1. Vacuum pack them as is and freeze them for later. (While already dry brined?)

  1. Vacuum pack or tightly saran wrap them and fridge them for a week before I cook them. I just bought them at Sam's this morning but. I don't recall the use by date.

New software update, new bugs

Received an OTA update on my 23 powerboost platinum. I don't even know what it updated but now the auto wipers do a single swipe about 30 second after starting the truck even though it's completely dry

Also, the cluster screen goes to the "my view menu" every time the truck is started. It used to do that about once a month now it does it every time you shut it off.

Anyone else just disable the updates completely?

Great job Ford

I wanna build a motor....

I don't have a lot of room right now for a full project but I know that whatever I'm doing to build in the future (would love to restomod an old Ford or check truck) but I know it will be LS powered. Sorry Ford guys but yes even if it's an old Ford F100.

I see this as a build over ~2 years. I'll get an engine stand and build it in my garage.

I have been wrenching for most of my 54 year old life but NGL, I've never built an engine from the ground up (although I did help rebuild an old 350 back in the 80s ..but I was 15... 😂)

Looking for a grunt horse with power down low but still not afraid to rev. I'd like to make 650-750 wheel with a mild turbo or pro charger. Definitely needs to be able to daily. Not afraid to go big block but it can't be stupid expensive...needs to run on pump gas as not much else is available here.

Budget is 25k total spread out over 2 years. Is that a crazy low estimate? Not afraid of a used power adder that needs rebuilt.

I have a lot of tools and will buy what I don't have.

Anyone else adjust the tip depending on BS fees?

Normally a 20% tipper when the service is good and ONLY at a sit down type place...0% for counter service.

They also have new menus with just updated/increased item prices and they state the fee is 3%. I guess they just haven't updated the POS system yet.

This was a birthday lunch for 2. She had one margarita and I had 2 16oz draft miller lites.

Minimum wage for servers is 11.98 in my state but goes up to 15.00 in September.

F-You Fridays. They refuse to refill my script.

I prepaid for a year and have about 5 months remaining. Nothing has changed in my medical history. They refuse to refill my script without a "clearance letter" from my primary care provider.

Need a certified plumber to replace a water line.

Homeowners insurance company is requiring the replacement of a water line under the kitchen sink due to the appearance of corrosion.

Any suggestions for a local plumber that can fix me up reasonably?

I'd do it myself but they require proof of a certified plumber doing the job. 😡

I bought a 12 month deal around thanksgiving for semi through Fridays. Got a great deal that broke down to 117 a month. It was great for the first few months and I lost about 30 lbs but the efficacy declined slowly and food noise came back with a vengeance.

Worried about the current availability situation going fwd, I bought a decent deal for 6 months of triz (all delivered at once from ) but I'm gonna keep getting monthly deliveries of semi until November (or until the govt shuts it down I guess).

Would it be crazy to alternate semi and triz injections? I hate to waste it. I'm ok with slower weight loss and stretching the timeline.

I know I'm gonna get hammered for this suggestion but what else can I do?

Not the normal aches and pains or pooping issues ....anything weird happening as you get older?

For example....I get nausea sneezes. I'll get super nauseous all of the sudden and swear I'm gonna vomit but then I sneeze and it all goes away.

Within the span of about 15 seconds.
