I just moved here last week, but I'm curious what the burning times of NYC were like before Zohran was anointed mayor. How many guns would you have to bring with you on to the subway? To travel from downtown to midtown, would you move in the safety of caravans? Just very interested to hear from the old timers, about tales of NYC before it was gentrified on exactly January 1st, 2026 when Zohran flipped it from the battlezone hellscape left to him by previous republican administration and turned it into a socialist paradise.

I'm curious if it feels cheaper to be in Bali now compared to a few years ago bc the currency keeps getting devalued, or do all the tourist areas just raise their prices to compensate?

does anyone else get calls every few months from a ML advisor? I find it kinda annoying bc they know what's in my account. I just feel weird that there's someone who looking into what I have then calling me. None of my other brokers that I use do this.

I don't really let the call progress very far but I'm guessing they want to sell me on some more services or something, but I duno I'm thinking of just closing the account and moving everything to schwab. I just dont like the idea that there's someone whose like looking into my finances then trying to call me about it

Look, the corporate slop art advertisement don't even bother me that much. It's the fact that the paint crews take up half the sidewalk with their scaffolding, and it's never ending. there's never a time when they aren't there taking up the whole sidewalk anymore. It's starting to get excessive. Especially combined with all the other shit going on in the area with construction.
