Ziad a hidden Zionist?

So the story goes the Jarrah brothers (Ali & Youssef; Uncles to Ziad) had a case was built against them on evidence that they had been recruited by Mossad in the early 1980s and had gathered information on Hezbollah, Lebanese army positions, and Palestinian groups. Lebanese reports also claimed investigators found spy equipment, passports, and documents showing contact with Israeli intelligence, and said the brothers admitted under questioning to working for Mossad. They were facing the death penalty, but I am unsure as to their ultimate fate .The question then is was the family close and in contact?
