What's actually happening here:

A massive $244M government payout ($158M already handed over) that HHS quietly dumped out on a Friday night.

Why people are losing their shit:

Who got the money: The contract went to OUR Rescue (formerly Operation Underground Railroad)—the Sound of Freedom group that's currently getting dragged through court over sexual misconduct and trafficking allegations against its former leadership.
They have zero experience: They’ve never represented migrant kids in court a day in their lives, nor have they ever run a federal legal contract like this.
They pushed out actual legal teams: The Feds reportedly froze out the legitimate legal aid groups who were already doing the work because those lawyers refused to hand over confidential files on the kids.
The paper trail is filthy: The money trail leads to Dubai shell companies, family members getting paid off, anonymous contractors, and a pop-up DC firm set up right before the deal went down.

The Feds basically stripped funding from real legal aid providers to cut a massive, no-bid check to a scandal-plagued, unqualified charity—and the financial trail leads right into offshore shells.

And this was all done as quietly as possible.

We need to flip every seat in November.

Trump wants this type of bullshit to be the norm in America and it will be unless we push back.
