Darling Nicki ☝🏾Credit to @tevin.m.davis YOU’VE BEEN SERVED: Nicki Minaj. A principle is not proven by what you defend when it costs you nothing; it is revealed by what you refuse to abandon when power offers you something in return Nicki built her empire with the support of

the very communities she now seems increasingly willing help MAGA terrorize.

If success costs you your principles, you paid too much.

The cycle of trauma doesn't just stop; it compounds. This powerful perspective breaks down the systemic impact of the 1985 crack epidemic, illustrating how the destabilization of the Black household created a ripple effect that spans generations. From the mass

removal of mothers, through the foster care crisis, to the hyper-stimulated, high-risk world of 2025 where youth are just one button away from every temptation, the connection between past policy and present pain is undeniable. It’s a sobering look at how the abandonment of the past has shaped the current generation’s struggle with identity and survival. The call to action is clear: bridge the gap, listen to the pain, and create space for the healing process to finally begin.

Introducing Morgan Freeman’s Symphonic Blues Experience - officially released today, an album celebrating the rich, 100-year history of the Mississippi Delta Blues. The Oscar winning actor has been captivated by this music since childhood, and now collaborates with a remarkable

group of artists who share that same passion. The first single from the collection - Death Letter Blues - features five-time GRAMMY-winner Taj Mahal, the Ground Zero Blues Band and Chineke! Orchestra. Originally recorded in 1965 by the Delta Blues legend Son House, Death Letter Blues is one of the most viscerally powerful laments in Blues history. A raw, grief-stricken narrative of loss, driven by slide guitar and gospel inflected vocals. Recorded between the world-class recording studios of Royal Studios in Memphis and Abbey Road Studios in London, this new recording brings that foundation into conversation with the help of producer and engineer Boo Mitchell and Music Director and Conductor Martin Gellner. It is a collaboration that preserves the raw emotional core of Son House’s original, while expanding its symphonic scale.

“Rooted in stories carried from West Africa to the American South, the Blues became a testament to the unbroken human spirit, the sound of America’s past and present, and the heartbeat of a culture that refused to be forgotten.” — Morgan Freeman

A Black man was found hanging from a tree in downtown Raleigh Saturday afternoon during the CaribMask Caribbean Festival, The NC Beat has learned.
A woman who work nearby told The NC Beat that the man was discovered around 2:30 p.m. in the back parking lot area ofWhiskey Kitchen on West Martin Street, not far from the festival grounds near City Plaza and Nash Square.
A disturbing photo posted on social media shows the man hanging from a tree as a Raleigh Fire Department crew member stands nearby.
The NC Beat will not be releasing the disturbing photo.

According to a woman we spoke with who wishes to remain anonymous, said the man had been seen earlier in the day walking and talking to himself.
A short time later, a festival-goer walking on Martin Street said the man approached and asked for water before continuing on.

By the time workers in the area checked the back lot shortly after 2:30 p.m., he was found hanging.
Social media posts circulating claimed the man had been “hung” during the Caribbean Festival and urged people to “protect your sons” and “stay vigilant.”
As of Saturday evening, Raleigh Police have not released any statement about the discovery.
The NC Beat reached out to the Raleigh Police Department at 4:46 p.m., for an official statement and we have not yet heard anything back.

Developing story!”
