Want to stop, should I taper off or safe to quit immediately?

I was prescribed mirtazapine for insomnia, take as needed at night. I’ve been taking 15mg on weeknights (not on weekends) for only about a month, I think 4-5 weeks. I’ve gained almost 10 pounds in that time and I really want to stop. But I’m not seeing my psychiatrist until November. is it safe for me to just stop because I’ve been taking it for such a short time?

Please help! Static and dust persist after wet cleaning

I made a cleaning solution of 1:3 isopropyl alcohol to distilled water. 80mL to 240mL, 320mL total. I poured a tablespoon into my Spin Clean MKII and used it as instructed, wiped the records dry with the supplied cloths, and put them horizontally on some cups to air dry for another few hours.

They still have lint on them (I’m guessing it may be from the cloths?) Nothing came off when brushing with an antistatic carbon fiber brush. When I lifted the record up, the cork platter mat stuck to the bottom and static electricity was crackling as I tried to separate the mat and record. I don’t know what to do at this point. I feel like I’m losing my mind!😣would anyone be able to give me some advice? Please and thank you!

Quality backpack recommendations?

I’ve been using a random Amazon 55 litre backpack since high school but the zippers are failing and the bag doesn’t have much “structure” anymore (it sags downward a lot, even when there’s barely anything inside). Looking for a new one but can’t choose.

I usually carry my laptop and charger, water bottle, lunchbox, pencil case, other small miscellaneous items, as well as a separate bag for my camera and the weight/volume adds up quickly. Any recommendations for a good 30-45 litre backpack that won’t cost a ton or cause posture issues? Thanks in advance

Spin Clean washer fluid shelf life & static electricity problems

I got a Spin Clean MK II from a friend who previously had it for 10 years. I’ve never wet cleaned my records before. Is the washer fluid still safe/effective to use, or should I just get a new bottle?

Also: each of my new records has very significant static electricity problems. The vintage ones seem fine. I’m already using a cork platter mat, plastic and rice paper anti static sleeves, and an anti static carbon fiber brush, but every time I lift the record up to change sides, the platter mat sticks to the bottom and I can hear static loudly crackling as I handle the record. Any fixes for this that don’t involve making expensive purchases (ex: Zero stat gun)

Service cancellation and credit

Recently cancelled my Bell service and the final bill says I have a credit of $56. It also says “Within 90 days after the account cancellation, we will automatically refund credit balances (from $1 to $2000) using your last payment method; otherwise, we will send a cheque to the address we have on record.”

I always paid using my credit card (not autopay or pre authorized payment) so are they going to apply a credit to my next credit card statement? My billing address is also outdated as I’ve moved out. Do I update it or wait for a credit to get applied to my card? What do I do to ensure I get the money?

Adult separation anxiety advice?

Family is away on a three-week vacation and I’m home alone. It’s only been a few hours and I already miss them a lot.

I have plans to invite/meet with a friend for dinner multiple times a week, but I’ve never been home alone for this long before and I’ve been moderate-severely depressed this entire summer.

Zero motivation to participate in my hobbies and a lot of anxiety/sadness in general. Any practical and actionable tips on coping?

How to start again when mental health and motivation are both very low?

I trained consistently at my school’s gym for a few months earlier this year, but haven’t been in three months now due to declining mental health. I’m looking into getting some adjustable dumbbells and would prefer to restart with full body workouts at home for comfort + convenience… still, I can’t help but feel like I’m wasting my whole summer and my life. :(

I REALLY WANT to build muscle and I enjoyed going through the motions at the gym when I still went, but I can’t even bring myself to do bodyweight exercises right now. How do you find the motivation? discipline? spark? Idk to get back into weightlifting after a long break and with shitty mental health?

Beginner and student. Best adjustable dumbbells for $300CAD?

I’m a beginner and student as the title says. I trained consistently at my school’s gym for a few months earlier this year but haven’t been in a while due to declining mental health. Would prefer to do full body workouts at home to start again and for comfort + convenience.

What are the best adjustable dumbbells at the price point above? I feel like up to 30lbs should be enough for me and I’d like a set that goes up in 5lb increments, or even 2.5lb increments if possible. Thanks everyone!

Cricut machine on campus?

I've heard through word of mouth that TMU has a Cricut machine you can book. I've never used one before but would like to learn how for a project I have in mind.
Has anybody here used it before? How do you book time for it?

“Grief” of ending therapy

Asking here as I’ve posted in some other subs and nobody replied. I've been seeing a counsellor at my institution for about a year and a half, but we need to terminate sessions next month because her caseload is full and so is the waitlist. She sent me multiple private practitioners who are accepting new clients, and advised me to find some myself, but I couldn't bring myself to look, let alone make any consultation calls.

I don't want to spend thousands of dollars on private therapy and jump from person to person to find the right fit, if I even find one. I’m not ready for the therapeutic relationship to end, and it’s weighing me down very much. It’s causing a grief-like feeling. Anyone have advice on getting through the "grief" and on finding a suitable new therapist when the thought of needing to end a good relationship and fit, then start all over again has you stuck in bed at times?

How to get through “grief” of changing therapists?

Asking here as I’ve posted in two other subs and nobody replied. She sent me multiple private practitioners who are accepting new clients, and advised me to find some myself, but I couldn't bring myself to look, let alone make any consultation calls.

I don't know how to explain my situation to a new therapist, or go about spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars on private therapy and potentially jump from person to person to find the right fit. I’m not ready for the therapeutic relationship to end, and it’s weighing me down very much. It’s causing a grief-like feeling that I can’t really explain. Anyone have advice on getting through the "grief" and on finding a suitable new therapist when the thought of needing to end a good relationship and fit, then start all over again has you stuck in bed at times?

Course load for OSAP

In both terms next year I'm taking three classes (two required, one elective). One class has "2" GPA weight and 2 billing units compared to the other classes which are "1." That makes for 4 billing units in total. On my OSAP application, do I pick 4 courses = 80% course load or 3 courses = 60% course load?
