I love this game but unfortunately I got it too late to be able to get the dlcs. Is there a way to "bypass" this and get the dlcs through piracy? Or I will need to spend a lot of money on a key that now costs its weight in gold?
I got back to grid 2 this week and I really want to get the platinum for this game but I discovered that the servers were closed. Is it cheating to get these achievements using external programs?
Just to clarify, I don’t believe the Throne holds the First Flame. I think Dark Souls 1/3 and Dark Souls 2 take place on separate continents.
So why does the entire game have every NPC manipulating the Bearer of the Curse into seeking the Throne? Drangleic is already doomed, so I don’t see the importance of the monarch, or why Nashandra would care if someone sits there.
Could someone who understands the lore better explain this?
Há cerca de um mês, o Drawn Mask fez um vídeo criticando a história de Dark Souls. Desde então, muita gente respondeu dizendo que ele está errado, mas a maioria parece ter interpretado a crítica como se fosse “não gostar de narrativa indireta”, o que não é o caso.
O ponto central é a distinção entre história do personagem (narrativa direta) e história do mundo (lore, narrativa indireta).
A crítica não é que o jogo não explica tudo “de mão beijada”, e sim que a história do personagem é fraca e serve mais como suporte para o lore do que como uma narrativa própria.
Em Dark Souls, você basicamente tem uma premissa simples — um morto-vivo cumprindo uma profecia — e o resto da experiência narrativa depende quase totalmente do jogador ir atrás de descrições de itens, diálogos e detalhes do cenário.
Isso funciona para quem gosta de montar o quebra-cabeça. Mas, sem esse esforço ativo, a narrativa direta oferecida pelo jogo é mínima.
Comparando com BioShock: o jogo equilibra bem as duas abordagens. Existe uma história do personagem forte e guiada, que se sustenta sozinha, ao mesmo tempo em que o jogador descobre, de forma indireta, o que aconteceu com Rapture.
Ou seja, nem tudo é explícito, mas também nem tudo é deixado na mão do jogador. As duas camadas se complementam.
A crítica, então, não é sobre querer tudo explicado — e sim sobre ter uma narrativa principal forte o suficiente para guiar o jogador, em vez de depender quase exclusivamente do lore.

Some time ago, I watched the original Trigun anime and thought it was great—almost perfect. Later, I found out there’s more: a movie that seems to take place in the same universe, more like a filler/OVA than something important to the story, but it looks fun. There’s also the remake, which honestly looks like it sucks. Should I watch them? Should I stick with just the original anime? Watch only the movie? Am I right about the remake, or does it just look bad?
In Hunter x Hunter (1999), Ging was a mystery. He is a legendary Hunter and Gon’s “final” goal, and his appearance matched that expectation. In the few times we actually see him, he appears as a tall, mature man. But in the 2011 version, he is just a short, child-like guy with a beard. (I'm not talking about his personality, just his appearance.)
