So I’m audition for the HxG audition, and I was wondering what you guys think about these songs to audition with?

I have a few options, I’m mostly trying to show off my high range since that’s what I’m best at, I can’t go too low.

Vocals:

Pop: Into You by Ariana Grande or The Rose Song by Olivia Rodrigo

Pop R&B: So Easy To Fall In Love by Olivia Dean (I’m much better and more confident with this option) or That Boy is Mine by Brandy

Dance: haven’t really picked anything out yet, I’m not much of a dancer, so I’m frantically trying to learn a few moves from YT 😭

When singing and dancing in auditions, what songs would you recommend to demonstrate star quality and facial expressions?

I’m good at singing ballads or sad songs, but I’m auditioning for the new Hybe girl group and want to show off a range in songs and my facial expressions.

(For reference I’m a soprano and better with my head voice and I’m not much of a dancer)

So I’m going on a trip to Spain with my friends, a few people in my class, we’re going to Barcelona. There’s 15 girls so five rooms, each with three people, and I’m most likely not going to be sharing with this friend since we’ll have to split (there’s 5 of us).

Now, this friend has had a few problems over the past year or so. Not panic attacks as such, but she feels very overwhelmed at times and struggles in loud spaces. She’s not diagnosed with anything though. Lately any time we try to organise a hang out, even just at someone’s house, she makes excuses and for months she hasn’t stayed over.

One excuse was that she doesn’t enjoy staying at peoples houses because her family isn’t there. But I’m concerned about how she’s going to deal with our trip, where obviously none of her family is present. She can’t miss it, she’s already paid a lot of money and it’s non refundable.

I don’t know how to approach this subject with her, since any time I try to discuss something like this she ices me out or gets mad. But I’m genuinely worried because she is not going to do well in Spain, especially since we haven’t met up at all over the summer and her social life is severely lacking, so my trip might be affected by this, since when she gets overwhelmed she ices people out as well.

I don’t think she’s active on this sub so I’ve decided to post just to get some advice on how to approach her with this.

I’ve never passed out before. I got my period again today, and I’ve obviously been feeling like shit, but I’ve never passed out. However, today I was at a music thing and had to leave the stage and talk to someone to let them know I was feeling sick.

My vision went blurry, then it started going black. I’m fucking mortified because I kept wandering around and didn’t really have any control of my legs for a few seconds until the woman forced me into a chair 😭

I don’t really know how long I was out for because I didn’t hear a second person come out, I didn’t realise I dropped my phone and I couldn’t hear anything except slight ringing when my vision started coming back.

I’m wondering what this could possibly be from? Has anyone else experienced this? The only time I’ve ever passed out was when I hit my head which I didn’t do today.

I’m going to the doctors and I’m trying to see if I have endometriosis. I was researching the symptoms even before this, and on my period I usually have cramps that leave me unable to stand, I bleed through two/three pads every two hours, and I feel nauseous lots on my period. I also get migraines sometimes when it’s particularly bad.

Could that be it? I don’t want to self diagnose but I’m wondering if anyone else faced these symptoms or even passed out, and it ended up endometriosis or something similar.

It could possibly be a lack of sleep but I’m just not sure. I find it difficult to sleep sometimes but last night I got about 6 hrs.

So I’m in England rn (Liverpool) and I’m from Ireland. It’s about a 45 minute flight from here to back home, and then an hour drive to get from the airport to my house.

(Btw it’s a 20min-40min drive from my hotel in Liverpool to the airport)

I bought a Lush face mask as a gift for my mam and completely forgot I have to keep it refrigerated. It’s in the fridge rn for the next day and a half of my trip, and I’m planning on putting it in a zip-lock bag with ice for the airport.

Will it be okay to use once I make it home? I’ve never bought from Lush before since I live in a rural part of Ireland and the nearest city is an hour away, so it slipped my mind that this would need to be refrifgerated.

Since Lexie just left the group, do you think they would possibly pull someone from either survival show to join Saint Satine?

I can’t see them doing yet another survival show for this group so it would have to be someone from a previous survival show. Most of the DA girls have already debuted.

So I was kinda thinking a little about this and I don’t think Nikki liked Bear. When Ian made that “your girl” comment she sounded disgusted, she literally said ew. She was hooking up with Bears best friend. She tried to set Sarah and Bear up. She sounded nervous when he said he had gotten her a gift.

So I know a lot of people think she liked him but I’m just not sure about that.

One thing some people bring up is Nikki saying “when I have a crush on a guy, nobody can tell.” And they think that’s proof of her crush on Bear.

I kinda think that it might have been Ian? Like they were hooking up for TWO YEARS and Bear didn’t even notice.

Does anyone else think this or just me, I haven’t seen anyone really say it.

Edit: So out of the names recommended (so far) I’m kinda really into Eleri! It’s one of my faves and I can really see it for myself.

Purple is genuinely SUCH a good song, like it actually gets so much hate for no reason! Based on everything I’ve seen online it’s one of the most disliked songs on the album, and I have no idea why.

It’s a fun song to listen to while still being really sweet and calming (if that makes sense), the lyrics are gorgeous and I love that it references her old colour now that she’s transitioning more to pink.

It’s such a good song, idk why people don’t like it!

So we all know that Nikki is obviously not the villain in Obsession.

I am just wondering- is Bear?

He kind of confused me at the end.

He obviously knew something was wrong from the beginning and then when he started dating her, but I assume he just chalked it up to her dad being sick.

Then in the iconic date scene I have to assume he figured it out. Ian called and said that her dad was fine and hadn’t missed work or anything, so why would she be acting like this, the wish must have worked. He asked if she loved him more than anyone else in the world, wording it the same as his wish, and she said yes, which confirmed the wish worked. But he didn’t leave or try to figure something out, he stayed with her. And at first I thought that it was out of fear, because he had no idea what she was capable of.

When he made that call to the One Wish Willow company, he didn’t ask could he cancel the wish, he asked to alter it, which I didn’t think too much about when watching it but I am thinking about now. He was thinking about himself rather than Nikki.

Also when Nikki asked him to kill her, “she” was sleeping, he didn’t do anything and left the real Nikki crying to go to Sarah.

He tried to fix his wish after that, asking Ian if he could wish something that would contradict his wish, but that failed because Ian wished for money (I would’ve done the same tbh).

However, at the end of the film, when I had been thinking mostly the full way through Bear must be the villain, I was surprised when he decided to kill himself. I was skeptical because what if he was doing this for himself rather than Nikki? Then he couldn’t do it, so back to him being the villain. He took the pills, that was good, then spit them out and went outside, kissed Nikki.

So here’s the part I’m most confused on; he died. Was that intentional? Was that him trying to make up for what he did? Or was it accidental?

Even if it was intentional, was he doing that because he cared about Nikki? Because once Nikki snapped out of it, she would have to see all three bodies and know she killed them. She’d have to look at Sarah’s not-face and know she’d done that to her friend, and Ian’s blood on the floor and know that she was the one who caused that. So was he being a coward? Or was he trying to help Nikki?

He was definitely the villain for the majority of the movie. He didn’t know what the wish would do but didn’t take any steps to really fix what he’d done, it took his friends dying to realise “hey, maybe I should do what I was told would work and just die?”

So I’ve heard quite a bit about 2018 Heathers. I never really watched it though, minus one clip.

Today a video popped up about it on my YT and I was like, what the heck, let’s see what’s so bad.

Holy shit, I was not expecting that.

Whoever made that show needs to take a long hard look in the mirror and then run headfirst into it repeatedly. They completely missed the point of the movie. The Heathers are skinny, rich and hot. That’s the POINT, they’re a stereotype, the whole movie is making fun of movie characters and stereotypes. The Heathers are NOT, in fact, overweight, bisexual (although possibly the most canon part of the show) and a… gay man? Like HUH?!

Veronica is psycho for some reason and MURDERED someone when she was 8! Chandler doesn’t die and instead swoops in mid-dance to Halo by Beyonce (how the fuck did they even get the rights to that song) and McNamara fucks a teacher?

Kurt and Ram didn’t even do anything and Ram (I think) got killed? Correct me if I’m wrong though.

Genuinely who made this show. It’s appalling. Martha isn’t overweight because Heather made that cool, so she’s just poor and Brett Cooper. The jokes have no punchline or are just making the actually funny original ones shit (I love my dead straight daughter… what?). Everything is god awful and why do Veronica and JD fuck after she fake hangs herself? What was that whole school shooting thing where the were lwk taught HOW to shoot up a school?

The original was controversial in a clever and fun to watch way. This is just awful and offensive.
