The Student Store - Middle School - Michigan
I am 56, Retired, And a Former Student. In the 7th grade out all the teachers I had, We had a smart but fair teacher. He had a cabinet by the front door which was under lock and key. He nicknamed it "THE STORE" If a kid didn't have a pencil, pen, whatever. Then instead of given them out of his own pocket. He would offer them to the students at cost he paid for it, I don't know if he ever made a profit on them. But it taught the kids, nothing comes for free and if you need something, The store is always open when he is around. And if you didn't have the money, Then you had to borrow one from of the other students or were out of luck. It teaches the students to be better prepared and to make sure you had the school supplies in your backpack before entering his classroom.
My apologies for my grammar, I was never really that good at it. Call it ADD, Learning Disabilities or whatever.
