So Ooredoo sales team gave me a discount to 'upgrade' from Hala to Shahry (even though I had my whole month of Hala remaining and they said the offer was only for that day). Now that I want to go back to Hala, apparently there's a 100 QAR 'migration fee'!

There was no 'migration fee' when migrating from Hala to Shahry but now all of a sudden I've to pay an extra 100 QAR. Which I'm sure they would've mentioned in the fine print but didn't mention it to me over the phone. I'm sure they've covered themselves legally, but how is this moral? So annoying!

What kind of electronics are the customs officers very strict about? I've heard food items go through but electronics can be subject to customs. If anybody has any information, please share.
