For me, probably like once or twice a month. For reference, I’m 6’4” and live in SoCal.

It kind of irks me because people still say I look like I’m in high school, but at the same time I guess I should be thankful because hopefully this means I’ll still look youthful in 10-20 years from now lol.

As a 2001 born, I always used “dude” to refer to friends and peers since it’s primarily used among millennials and I grew up with millennial influence still being the mainstream in pop culture. But I’ve noticed everyone saying “bro” nowadays and “dude” has more of a negative connotation to it. I use both but I’ve found myself saying bro more nowadays because all my coworkers always use bro and that definitely has made me use it more.

2001 born and I remember all of these things during my childhood (some of these are very US specific)

- Rewinding VHS tapes
- Having a home phone
- Renting movies at Blockbuster
- Flip phones
- Relying on cable TV and waiting every week for a new episode of your favorite show to air
- Fish tanks inside of Walmarts
- Computer “lab” classes in school
- Black Fridays being a huge event
- CRT TVs
- Using phone books
- Starting school in September
- Buying songs on iTunes
- MP3 Players and iPods
- Mapquest and physical paper maps
- Digital cameras as the norm
- Physical media over streaming
- A pre-smart world (I would say this changed around 2012)

I was shopping at Dierbergs today and they played The Corrs, Michelle Branch, and Stacie Orrico songs in that particular order. I was like fuck yeah I love me some 2000s pop rock. As a bonus they played Accidentally in Love by Counting Crows on the way out which I respect. Dierbergs playlist never seems to let me down.

But yeah that’s the post.

I know their dress code policy on paper is strict, stating that men should have short and clean cuts, but my friend who worked as an ALT with them last year had longer, curly hair and had no issues. Maybe it’s just dependent on the school? I’m wondering because I’ve always worn my hair slightly longer (and admittedly look better with long hair) so I’m wondering if I can get by if I just keep my hair clean and orderly.

I don’t know if it’s the same with everyone, but I can see the latest accounts people have followed. Just noticed it for the first time this morning. Was curious about this because I wanted to know if my crush followed any other guys since she followed me 😂
