Going back to the good old days

Hello everyone ,

If you have known me then you would have known that my shaving ritual used to include a lot of products starting from preshave to an asl and a balm .

Lately I have trimmed it to an extent where I don't even use an aftershave . Today I checked my stock and found my kailash ( my first good shaving soap which i purchased about a year ago ); tub is almost over so i decided to have a good old shave with whatever items I had brought with me here .

6S + Super thins @plate 6 is a combo i would recommend to anyone .

The kailash soap + asl gave that good calming scent & a great conclusion to a super tiring day .

Nivea ultra calming balm really moisturises my face giving that perfect post shave feel .

Nothing less than a gathering of great products giving an exceptional outcome just like the old times .

The best purchase I have ever made

Been wearing this Nodus Trailtrekker Carbon for over a week now . Loving every bit of it.

Wears really well on the wrist and the lume is just fabulous. Got a couple of compliments in the office .

Got independece from my buy ban

Happy independence day everyone !

Nothing much to add about the shave , it was quite nice .

Vintage is among my favourite offerings from Nemo.

Today I broke my buying ban to purchase a couple of items which will arrive in a couple of months . Even though I tried hard not to add more soaps , I ended up adding 2 more .

So pray for me 🫡

Home library complete -

Unused space in my home got turned to a library .

A small tidying up and the red cupboard needs to me moved out and my cozy spot is ready for my occupancy.

Caffeined up and ready to sleep

This pacific shaving company shaving soap is an absolute pleasant one when it comes to the scent and shaving experience but lacks in after shave feel . One of my favourites which i sparingly use.

The astra + R96 is an excellent combo .

Nothing much to say !

Got my grail watch- Nodus Trailtrekker Carbon

When i first saw the Nodus trailtrekker Carbon I immediately fell in love with it. I know rolex or a tudor or a patek etc is usually considered by many as a grail but for me this is it.

I acquired it from the nodus US website and it arrived in 15 days here . I really love the design and the finishing. The watch has a forged carbon marbled dial and bezel with lume. The crown function has an hour jumping mechanism which allows for easy time setting even when setting the secondary time and also to aid the lack of quick date setting feature.

The watch comes with the two straps the gunmetal dlc bracelet which comes with their on the fly adjustment mechanism and the new Fusion straps (fkm subber with dlc steel adaptors ). I am someone who hates bracelets and chooses a leather or a fkm over it every single time but here I don't think I will switch. This is probably the most comfortable bracelet i have ever tried. The fusion straps are also really comfortable and sit well on the wrist. Honestly would have a tough time choosing one over the other but the bracelet suits this watch.

The finishing is really a step above what I'm used to. The watch was born out of Nodus Design Labs where it partnered with raven. I have been searching for a great watch which will commandeer my collection and my search sort of ended in the trailtrekker clay edition which i got a chance to try on; but I wasn't satisfied fully and i continued my search . This watch popped up on the LA intersect last month and boom I was sure if what I wanted

Really happy with this purchase!

Loving my ASURA

Got it about 3 months ago and has been my most worn watch since. The way it sits on the wrist is just 🤌🏻.

The dial catches a lot of light but in the evenings with less light this is an absolute beauty on the wrist .

I'm still worthy! ft. Fatip

It's been a loonnng time since I picked up the Fatip. It takes some amount of time to do the alignment as it has an alignment issue .

Today eyeballed the fit and boom my Mjolnir answered my call and deemed me worthy ! Once you get the fit right the Fatip flows like a paintbrush . Paired it with the super thins which I feel works really well with it .

When you keep aside some soaps and use it after a long time you really get to feel the difference. Cella will always be a benchmark soap for me . Like the subtle scent and the good leather + after shave feel .

Concluded with the nivea after shave balm . A good 10/10 shave !

Introduction to new Microbrands and my wishlist

2026 has been a wild year , also happens to be the year where I seriously started searching for microbrands. Here's a list of microbrands which are in my wishlist ; some have been acquired this year and some yet to be . I feel they are worthy brands that everyone should check out.

( Grammatical mistakes are regretted)

1.Phibos Eagle Ray : Possibly the best dial in the price range it brings in a compression style design ( not an actual one ) with good specs . If paired with a good leather or rubber can really up the game

  1. Vario Trench: Possibly the best field watch in my eyes and my pick over Hamilton khakhi . I am very interested in history and a trench watch for me is a must buy . If everything goes well i should be able to acquire it by the end of this year . Seriously recommending this brand to everyone!

3.Kiwame Tokyo Mune Usuki: One of the cleanest dials I have ever seen . I can argue that it's a tad bit overpriced but that dial just wouldn't let me say that . A beauty indeed . Tried twice to purchase but got sold out in 30 seconds . The brand is facing scalper issues and you see a lot of them in chrono for 3-4x price .

4.Vario Versa: The one which satisfied my tank itch . This was my first purchase from the brand and am eyeing the trench from them next. The watch offers a dual rotating dial with an exceptional strap . The brand started as a strap manufacturer . Been keeping a tab on the brand since the early kickstarter days and I wish the best for them.

5.Nodus Raven Trailtrekker Carbon : A US based microbrand which has consistently made bangers . Their Collab models with raven sell out in minutes. When I first saw their Clay edition it became my grail watch . But when the carbon released it felt like my grail got an upgrade . Was lucky to make a purchase as it got sold out in 2 minutes . Their Contrail and sector ii field punches well above their call

  1. WISE Asura : Whenever I made a post I had to see people hating on it . I tried taking pictures in the best way possible but still it was hate after hate . I've got to admit the watch looks soo good in person . Currently the one which i wear the most . It stands by the name of Asura with its horn shaped lugs and blood red dial . A really good standout piece.

7.Venezianico ultrablack : A microbrand which has been on my radar for a long time , i got introduced to it through the youtuber Nico who highlighted that its brand to get before it sells out . They had a red Nereide limited edition which is just amazing but nothing caught my eye more than the ultra black .

8.Nezumi Tonnerre: A swedish brand which started as a side project now makes some good looking dials. I believe with the new models it's a bit over priced but they do release some good limited edition variants of the one in the picture . The blue is my favourite

Was it the beer or the Razor ? And new obsessions.

Couple of days back I tried the Diamond Edge with the Rockwell and wasn't impressed with the shave. I also realised that I've been using the Rockwell for a long time now and it's time to switch up.

R96 was the next successor and god almighty did it do a U on my opinion on the diamond edge. Worked flawlessly and that swishhh which is R96s way of singing 🤌🏻 I missed that .

One good shave . The shave was soo good that ive got to add Diamond Edge as one of the best pairs with the R96. Also used the Yaqi Caramel after a long time.

Lately been working on my new obsessions - perfumes , beer & watches . The Goan rocket beer was spot on - is that why the shave was soo good?. Guess we will never know 😂

Overall a good 9/10 shave

Sunday shave & a new blade

Hello everyone,

Chose this Sunday to try a new blade " Diamond Edge " which i have had for a long time ( bought from a fellow redditor.

The blade for me gives a performance equal to a parker or a feather but much less smooth . I wouldn't say that I am a fan but it's just alright for me . Might as well stick to feathers and super thins for the best comfort .

My boar is properly broken into and I love the scent of the soap "Muskaan". The sickness and post shave feel is good .

Been moving around lately and all the places that I have found had no mirrors for some reason and I have been lazy to buy one as well so pretty much for the past one month I have been doing blind shaves 😂. Glätz and Zulfikar for the rescue.

Happy Sunday everyone
