Even if you watch Re:Zero in dub, Satella saying “Aishiteru” hits much harder in Japanese
I usually have no problem watching Re:Zero in English dub, but I genuinely think every fan should watch Satella’s confession scene in Japanese at least once.
When Satella says “Aishiteru,” she is not using the most casual or common way of saying “I love you” in Japanese. Even as someone who does not speak Japanese, you can feel that the word carries a much deeper meaning. “Aishiteru” is often associated with profound, unconditional love, the kind of love that goes beyond ordinary romance. It conveys devotion, longing, and a willingness to love someone no matter how much time has passed or how much suffering is involved.
That is exactly why the scene feels so powerful. Satella is not just saying that she likes Subaru. It feels like she is expressing a love that has endured for what seems like an eternity.
The English dub communicates the meaning, but the Japanese performance adds an extra layer of emotional weight. The way it is delivered makes the scene feel haunting, intimate, and overwhelming all at once.
So even if you primarily watch the dub, I highly recommend watching that scene in Japanese. It gave me a much deeper appreciation for both the meaning of “Aishiteru” and the sheer intensity of Satella’s feelings for Subaru.
I'm in love with this romance manga.
Sadly it has only 8 Chapters 🥲🙃

I'd like to start watching it, but I've heard some reviewers describe it as an anime for children. Should I still give it a chance?
And can someone please give me the order to watch since there are multiple spin offs too
It was such a good romance manga, it's so sad that the author has died.
The Manga Name is "Boku to Gal ga Fuufu ni Naru made"
Plot is Sora Kanakura was a boy born into a poor household. He studied hard and managed to pass the exam to an excellent high school but, it soon turned out that his parents were in debt! When it was time to pay the debt off, a mysterious gal appeared and offered to pay off their debt. A big burden was almost off Kanakura's head, but the gal made a condition in return which stated that...
I don't know maybe I'm just weird but how can someone possibly like this art style (Clannad)

i saw a picture of clannad on my screen and i just stared at it for like five minutes. i genuinely cannot understand how people find that art style appealing. the eyes are so massive and spaced apart and the faces look like bugs to me. i know the anime is supposed to be really emotional and i respect that but my brain just wont let me take it seriously when the characters look like that
no hate to the show itself i havent even watched it yet. i just cant get past the visuals. do people actually like this style or does it just grow on you after you force yourself through a few episodes. is there something wrong with me or does everyone think this at first
How did you end up watching Mushoku tensei? Was it forced on you, or a happy accident?
For me, it was my fifth anime.
The story is pretty simple: one night, I was really bored and decided to watch something. The anime had been sitting on my watchlist for a while, so without giving it much thought, I started it from the very first episode, I was completely hooked. The story was so interesting that I ended up watching several episodes in one sitting. Eventually, I stopped for the night and went to sleep right at the point where >!Paul f**ked Lilia!<

Did You Think You Could Live Normally Even In A World With A 1:5 Male-To-Female Ratio?~When Deeply Intense Feelings Of The Girls Are Unknowingly Toyed With By The An Oblivious Boy~
Plot:- As you can see by the title name it's about skwed gender ratio I read it expected it to be some goofy Manga but I couldn't be more wrong what I got was Pyshological Level Tension especially from the Onee San character
They really need to stop making the male lead so ugly compared to the girls in shonen romance anime
Reposting it again because the previous one got deleted
I get that it's supposed to be a self insert thing, but man some anime take it way too far.
The girls have amazing designs, unique hairstyles, expressive eyes, actual drip... and then the MC looks like a random background student with dead eyes and hair that has never seen a comb I am not saying every male lead needs to look like , but at least make him look like he belongs in the same show 😭when the girl looks like she walked out of a fashion magazine and the guy looks like he was drawn in 5 minutes, the romance just feels weird to me.

What are yours?
What was your first anime, how did you discover it, and how special is it to you now? Do you still rewatch it?

I always love hearing how people got into anime so tell me your story
For me, it was The Dreaming Boy Is a Realist. It kept getting recommended to me on Instagram, and before that, I hadn’t watched a single anime. In fact, I used to dislike anime. But one reel from this series completely hooked me, and I ended up binge-watching the entire thing in a single day. After that, there was no turning back, and no one could stop me. Now, I’ve watched over 130 anime series in just one year this anime really hold a special place in my heart
Now I want to know your first anime. Did you just stumble onto it on tv or did someone force you. Was it something that hooked you right away or did it take a few tries. And how special is it to you now like does it still feel magical when you go back or is it more of a nostalgia thing that you keep on a pedestal. Do you rewatch it often or just let it live in your memory
No spoilers obviously just the name and the story of how you found it. Let me know which anime started it all for you
Why and how did Shonen become a universal genre in anime, loved by all genders and age groups?

i been thinking about this lately. shonen is literally a demographic it means boys. but somehow it became the most universal type of anime out there. you got girls and grown adults and even older people watching shows like demon slayer and jujutsu kaisen and one piece like it was made for them too
how did that happen. was it always like this or did something shift. i know shows like dragon ball and naruto had big female fanbases back in the day but now it feels like shonen is just the default for everyone. like a family could sit down and watch spy x family together and nobody questions it maybe its the themes. friendship and hard work and protecting the people you care about are not exclusive to boys. or maybe the action and hype just hits the same no matter who you are. and the female characters while not always perfect have gotten better and attract female viewers too
Who is your favorite Japanese female voice actress in Anime

i got three that i always get excited about when i see their name in the cast list
Reina Ueda has this soft gentle voice that can flip into something really intense when the scene needs it. her work as Reze is what made me fall in love with her voice
Rie Takahashi i mean come on she is everywhere for a reason. the range is crazy. from Megumin's screaming ( I mean Chanting that spell is a skill in itself) to Emilia's pure sincerity to Tomo's tomboy energy. she just makes every character feel alive and distinct
Saori Hayami is like the definition of elegant. her voice is so smooth and recognizable and she can do that cold calm tone that still feels full of emotion. Yor Forger and Shinobu Kocho are perfect examples of her just owning every scene
i honestly cant pick just one. they all bring something different and i always feel like the show is in safe hands when one of them is voicing a main character
Is Anime Amnesia really a thing?
I have been hearing a lot about it lately, and to me, it doesn't make any sense. I mean, except for some bad animes I watched, I can clearly remember the plot and everything about the anime, even the mid animes. I saw a video, and someone was saying that they rewatched an entire anime without even realizing that they had already watched it. I don't know if it's possible, so has anyone ever experienced this?
