Hello folks.
Ive been planning a trip Sept. 4-9 and i came to the healthy realization that Nova Scotia is a big wonderful place and not everything is as close to each other as i thought(silly me)
So yeah. What part would be the best? Im mainly going for hiking, food and relaxation but primarily the first two.
Appreciate you all.
Also if anyone is dealing with kidney disease. Im happy to discuss that as im post transplant and thriving.
1st off i dont like hot dogs much but have watched some vids about some iconic spots in some major cities. Im sure there's nothing that cool around here but hey anything worth trying?
Does Chicago tavern style exist in chesco?
Ive been doing a rewatch. Probably my 5th.
I both forgot how depressed S2 made me feel, gosh it was hard to finish knowing what was coming and getting glimmers of hope.
Then S3 comes around with the resolution and a pretty dark opening but at the sane time has a ton of comedic punches, dark and just hilarious in a less dark sense.
You got Mike being introduced who can be funny in his own way. Everything that happens with Ted. Jesse buying the house the way he did. Prolly 70+% of the Walt scenes are comedic or can be seen that way. Even at school after the fight with Saul. My guy just stares at the desk waiting to be in trouble in the middle of class. Then awkwardly flirts with the principal for no reason.
I kinda forget what other beats are left this season other than the Hank assasination but this season is a blast in a way thats unique. And sure a lot of it is sorta filler but it all works. Even when every season is so good and worth it this really stands out to me for having a significant comedic undertone at least in the 1st half.
Hey there,
Little prelude: USA based 29M. nearly had a stroke at 27. Diagnosed with extreme hypertension and put on hemodalysis that week in november 2024. Received my transplant 2.27.26.
I had quit the dating scene for a while due to depression and the need to focus on my health and trying to function productively with my illness and keep myself happy and thriving while under hemo. My last relationship ended on okay terms in 2023. Looking back on it. My CKD i did not know about had a profound and unfortunate impact on my relationship as well as my life in general but hey we apologise and move on.
Im at the point now where life is going really well. I can work out to a satisfying degree. I work fulltime. Eat better and enjoy life to its fullest while operating within my restrictions.
I guess im posting to see similar experiences. Like most peeps companionship is important to me and id hope to use my new better mindset and make somone happy as well as find enjoyment in that. Grow together and all that jazz.
Im insecure in the sense that i have a genetic confirmed cause to my condition and im sure thats unattractive to an extent as well as the general aspects of my health so idk it feels really difficult to try again. More scary than if i did not have the past two years of scary and strange experiences.
Im kinda late night rambling now so ill just leave it at that. Any advice would be appreciated.
Seems like both have a really good highly praised food selection and hiking nearbyish. Question sounds stupid but which city has the better foods?
Hey there,
Just want some new or decent recommendations. I usually go to Damas Grill, Taco Maya, Gentillis and Talengana Spice Kitchen. Not in the mood for bar food.
I posted recently seeking advice for a fall vacation. I related it to my past spring vacation 3 years ago in Vancouver Canada which was my favorite vacation of my life so far.
I really enjoyed the double nature environments of the mountains right beside the beach and snowier mountains only an hour away. Im more of hiker in general.
The city was very multi cultural with delicious food and sections populated by different peoples. Im very adventurous with food albeit i cant eat raw foods due to a health condition.
The 4 listed locations are what were most recommended to. Was wondering which is best and wil get the most votes on here.
Thanks!
Heyo.
I just wanted to post some appreciation for this spot. Its always good. Even on a busy friday night. The staff are friendly and the menu is locked in. Theyve got a focus on their pizza and sandwiches and thats really all they have to do because its great every time. Pictured is a vodka meatball + longhots, Picante pizza. And i forget the name of the last one but it had a lot going on but it all worked tbh.
Check it out if you're in Exton area!
My cat is freaked the fuck out and the 4th has passed. Please chill.
I recently learned about an extremely troubling health issue I had and went through a few years of distress. Anyway I'm in good stable shape now but while I can eat whatever I want. I'd like to try to eat healthier. I have a dietician and I'm working on lowering my sodium and increasing fiber etc.
My biggest food pleasure tho(from a young age) is coffee ice cream. I used to eat it every night. Usually Trader Joes/Friendly or Hagan Daz brands. Trader Joes being my top pic. Ive reduced consumption a lot over the past month and am looking for a healthier replacement. I'm a PA USA resident and work in a natural foods store. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!

3 years ago, I went on a trip during the spring to Vancouver CA, that I really enjoyed. I found the nature to be really unique and diverse. There was ocean side cliffs and beaches, a couple of different types of forests nearby to hike in. The city life was also just across the bridge, and it had a really fun multicultural food scene. I can't wait to go back. But I had a complex medical procedure recently and am not supposed to leave the country(although I'll keep asking for permission). I also went to Vermont in October on a solo trip but it was a massive failure. I almost died due to a gradual illness I had no clue I had and spent most of the trip ill in my air B&B and later collapsed on the smallest mountain trail. Before that I went to Asheville, North Carolina which I also enjoyed but it was too much of a beer/hip town if you get me. Also I was with my ex so I'd rather not go back soon. Prior to that, I think I had a few Caribbean trips buit I was way to young to remember them well and currently I dont care for hot Caribbean beach environments.
My trip is scheduled for 5 days in early September. It will be a solo trip. Money is not really much of a concern, plan to spend 2 grand. More is okay.
Is there anywhere in the USA that checks a few of those boxes?
I love to hike and explore. I'm a real foodie and really love seafood(can't eat raw foods due to health issues), but really anything new, culturally or regionally, is interesting. I have not been able to take a vacation in several years, so this is quite important to me. I'm largely recovered from my health issues and can hike normally now without collapsing haha.
Lately I've been looking at Maine but haven't really found my main attraction there other than Acadia National Park.
Let me know if you need more info. Thanks!
Edit: UGH not sure hot typoed in the title. I went to Vancouver, Canada not Vancouver USA

Did a rewatch recently of the 2nd Godfather.
There's an incredibly strong scene where Michael is yelling at Kay and they're arguing and the scene kinda ends rather flatly where Kay says she had an abortion and it just cuts away after Michael's reaction.
Thought this was kinda odd. Like they dont really hash it out past that Michael doesn't explode in rage or sadness really. Its just a fade away. Found it emotionally abrupt. Anyone else feel the same?
A while back i posted asking what to try next after like 5 TNG re-watches.
A good bunch of folks recommended Lower Decks. And it was truly a fun, emotional and hilarious ride thats really well done and respects the universe. I tried a lil bit of DS9 but it was weird. I really enjoyed the characters but found plotlines kinda slow.
Anyway. Off to Voyager. Thank you all.
My family/friendhabe always praised Acadia national park as *the* place to go.
I havent been to Maine yet but whats like the 2nd best hiking area or a place that deserves more praise?
Uhhh this was pretty dissapointing. Restaurant near me had high praise for their snapper chowder. Tried it and just tasted like ground up warm gazpacho with tiny ground up clam bits...
Not sure if this is normal or not for this dish.
I cant think of anything edgy id name a cyborg soldier personally.
