After countless late nights, "de Broglie" the world's most beautiful Boggle game, is finally on the App Store

[ Download ]

I recently got into word games through reddit mini-games, so I decided to build my own take on Boggle. I named it de Broglie.

What started as a small side project slowly turned into months of obsessing over tiny details. I spent far more time than I'd like to admit tweaking animations, shadows, colors, typography, and interactions because I wanted the game to feel as satisfying as it was to play.

A simple boggle game has millions of letter combinations; an inefficient algorithm can be very slow on phones. That's why under the hood, I built the word search around a Trie algorithm so boards can be validated quickly and gameplay stays responsive, even with larger grids. I also spent a lot of time profiling and optimizing the app to make taps, transitions, and animations feel buttery smooth.

This is also the first game I've ever made.

I definitely didn't do it alone. Claude Code became an incredible collaborator throughout the process. It helped me think through algorithms, refine ideas, catch edge cases, and iterate on the UI much faster than I could have on my own. The final decisions and implementation were still mine, but having that kind of assistant made building something this polished feel achievable.

Thanks for reading. ❤️

I made a cool app to follow my favorite teams for this worldcup and now Apple wants a letter from FIFA before they approve it

I had submitted my app before the tournament began but nearly a month down the line, the tournament is half over and Apple still hasn't approved it.

Guideline 5.2.1 - Legal - Intellectual Property

Issue Description

The app includes content that resembles FIFA without the necessary authorization.

The app and its contents should not infringe upon the rights of another party. In the event the app infringes another party’s rights, you are responsible for any liability to Apple because of a claim.

Next Steps

To resolve this issue, please attach documentary evidence and provide your FIFA contact information in the App Review Information section in App Store Connect. Once we have reviewed your documentation and confirmed its validity, we will proceed with the review of the app.

Alternatively, please remove the third-party content from the app and its metadata.

------

Game schedules, national flags, score lines, these are not property of FIFA. You don't need permission from FIFA to display these in your app.

I haven't mentioned FIFA anywhere in my app nor in the App Store listing.

They also gave this reason.

Guideline 4.3(a) - Design - Spam

Issue Description

We noticed the app shares a similar binary, metadata, and/or concept as apps submitted to the App Store by other developers, with only minor differences.

Submitting similar or repackaged apps is a form of spam that creates clutter and makes it difficult for users to discover new apps.

----

I built this app myself. App reviewers just keep blindly rejecting new apps under this clause without even testing it.

What are devs supposed to do?

Apple appstore reviews are seriously broken. This gorgeous app has been held in review for almost a month!

I bet they are using AI to review it and no human has even laid his eyes on my app yet.

They've given generic, spam reasons why they are blocking my app. I've been patient, given them a video and all other details they have asked for yet they are not approving the app.

Tim Apple seriously needs to get App store reviews right.

Anyone remember Jin Yang's AI app?

He was truly ahead of his time. Man created an AI app to detect hotdog v not hotdog back when ChatGPT wasn't even an idea in Sam Altman's head.

I've tried to make the same app for iPhones. This time thanks to technology I can do it locally on an iPhone instead of using a server.

If you like Turing Patterns, you can use this app to make them with your pictures

iPhone Download

Turn your photos into living, breathing patterns inspired by nature’s hidden rules.

This app uses Turing’s famous reaction-diffusion equations — the same math that shapes animal markings and chemical patterns — to transform portraits into evolving organic art.

Take a photo or upload one you love.

Adjust pattern flow, movement, and color.

No two results are ever the same.

I feel like I'm a DJ when I spin that wheel...

I got tired of searching the App Store for a simple 432 Hz tone app for meditation and relaxation, only to find that most options were cluttered with subscriptions, ads, or unnecessary in-app purchases for something as basic as playing a healing frequency.

I use 432 Hz regularly for relaxation, healing, and meditation, and I just wanted a clean, straightforward tool without the upsells. So I decided to build one for myself.

Using Claude AI as part of the development process, I created Pocket Tone: 432 Hz, a minimalist app that does exactly what I wanted:

• Simple interface

• Instant 432 Hz playback

• No unnecessary complexity

What started as a personal solution turned into a real App Store launch. Would genuinely love feedback from anyone interested in meditation, sound healing, or indie app development.

For my 432Hz meditation app, I went to the classic Braun T3 radio for inspiration
