One thing I wish I did earlier as a now working adult was open a stock investment account through my bank.

Actually investing, even with a small amount taught me more about the market than textbooks ever could.

If you’re studying finance, don’t just learn the theory. Experience and test it.

Many people chase investment banking because of the prestige.

But before applying, ask yourself:
-Do you enjoy working under pressure?
-Are you comfortable with long hours?
-Do you genuinely like finance and problem-solving?

A prestigious title means little if you hate the day-to-day work. Choose wisely or you'll spend your whole life miserable.

Most people over-focus on technicals. Yes, we know accounting and valuation but also be able to explain why you want the role, how you interact with people, and discuss a recent deal confidently (culture also matters).

Technical skills get you in the room. Clear thinking and having a pleasing personality helps you stand out.

I remember a while back, one of my campaigns was taking photos for a local café. It reminded me that great UGC isn’t always videos, good lighting, composition, and authentic moments can go a long way.

A small project, but it definitely helped me become more intentional with composition, lighting, and storytelling through photos.

The experience gave me a sense of confidence as a creator and experience on what to do and not to do. Happy to answer any questions!

One thing that surprised me about reading posts here is how much easier everything became once I stopped 'overthinking' my content.

Following the brief, keeping it natural, authentic, and submitting on time mattered more than making the 'perfect' video.

I originally set it up just to help write captions.

After giving it access to my content folder and brand guidelines through MCP, it started remembering each brand’s voice, catching repetitive ideas, and helping me plan content that actually stayed consistent.

It somehow became less of a chatbot and more of a teammate.

No selling. No freelancing. No surveys.

Just… a conversation.

Out of curiosity, I met a person online and they said they wanted to have a chat and we got to know each other rq, they offered me money to help me out. I honestly thought it sounded too weird to be real.

We talked about life, ranting pretty much, work, random hobbies, and things they had been overthinking. Nothing flirty. Nothing scripted. I just listened, shared my thoughts, and kept the conversation going.

When we finished, they sent me. +$10.

It was one of those moments that made me realize there are side hustles you’d never expect to exist.
It’s probably the most unexpected way I’ve ever earned money😭🤣
