32F | Looking for a Meaningful Connection 🌿

I’m 32F, originally from Mumbai, currently working outside India, and I’m someone who believes that a beautiful life is built around meaningful connections, curiosity, kindness and a little bit of adventure.

I’m a teacher and also a yoga teacher, so learning, teaching, movement, wellness and creating a peaceful environment are naturally a big part of my world. I love meaningful conversations, growing as a person, discovering new places, and finding beauty in the small everyday things.

I’m childfree by choice and have had a uterus-removal surgery at 29 due to medical reasons so having children biologically isn’t part of my life and, more importantly, I genuinely do not want children.

I’m looking for someone who feels the same way, not someone who hopes I might eventually change my mind.

When it comes to a partner, I’m quite particular about age. I’m strictly looking for someone between 37 and 45, and honestly, I tend to connect better with men who are older and emotionally mature.

I don’t usually feel that natural connection with younger men.

I’d especially appreciate someone who is eggetarian or vegetarian, although character, compatibility and values matter far more to me than a label.

What I’m really hoping to find is a best friend and life partner , someone emotionally mature, kind, communicative, affectionate and secure in himself.

Someone with whom I can have ridiculously silly conversations one moment and deeply meaningful ones the next.

Someone who enjoys slowness, learning, laughing, and building a peaceful life together.

I’m not looking for perfection, nor am I interested in rushing into something simply because society says it’s “time.”

I’m looking for something that feels natural, safe, respectful and genuinely exciting.

A relationship where two independent people choose each other not out of loneliness or obligation, but because life simply feels a little better together.

If you’re somewhere between 37–45, firmly childfree, emotionally mature, and genuinely looking for companionship rather than just a relationship status,

I’d be happy to start with a conversation.

No pressure. No games. Just two people getting to know each other and seeing whether there’s something beautiful worth building. 🌸

Goodluck

Travelling to China from India (31F)

Hi everyone,

I'm from India and will be moving to China for an extended stay in the near future. I'm trying to decide whether I should buy a new phone in India before I leave or wait and buy one after arriving in China.

A few things I'm concerned about:

- I rely heavily on Google services and would be using a VPN where permitted.

- I prefer Android and have mainly used Samsung phones throughout my life. I'm not very comfortable with Apple/iPhones, although I'm open to considering them if there is a strong reason.

- Translation is important for me. Since I don't speak Chinese, I need the phone interface, settings, apps, and notifications to work smoothly in English.

- I've heard that some Chinese phone models have different software versions and may not come with Google services by default.

- Phones also seem to be cheaper in India than in China for some of the models I'm considering.

For someone moving from India to China, would you recommend buying a phone in India before arriving? If yes, which brands/models work best in China while still providing a good international Android experience?

Or is it better to buy a phone in China? If so, are there any issues with language, Google services, app compatibility, or day-to-day usability for a foreigner who primarily uses English?

I'd especially appreciate advice from expats or Chinese users familiar with both the Chinese and international versions of Android phones.

Thank you!

China

I've heard many teachers say that once they move to China, they don't want to return to their home country.

I'm curious about why that seems to be such a common sentiment.

For those who have lived or taught in China, what made you want to stay? Was it the salary, lifestyle, safety, convenience, travel opportunities, social life, career growth, or something else entirely?

And for those who eventually left, what made you decide to return home?

I'd love to hear both the positives and negatives from teachers with firsthand experience.

31F looking for Mandarin/Cantonese language exchange & learning resources

Hi everyone,

I’m a 31F from India preparing to move to China and I’ve recently started learning Mandarin. I’d also love to pick up some basic Cantonese out of personal interest.

I’m looking for:

language exchange partners

beginner-friendly learning resources

Discord/WeChat/Reddit communities

tips for improving speaking and listening naturally

I’m especially interested in practicing conversational Mandarin with patient learners/native speakers and understanding everyday communication and culture better.

So far I’ve been using apps and YouTube, but I feel regular interaction would help a lot more.

If anyone has recommendations for communities, study methods, or resources that helped you, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!
