Few months ago I got an email saying if I buy a $50 gift card, then I get a $10 one for free. I went and bought it and got the $50 card right away. The $10 gift card didn’t come to my email until two weeks after purchase back in mid-June. I go to use the $10 card today and it’s expired July 31?! What kind of scam is this BS.

I placed an order on GH for a local pizza shop. There was a $8 off $25+ order that I used. I got a $12 item and a $13 item, and used the coupon. I show up and the counter person said the prices on GH are wrong and showed me their paper menu which had higher prices. He told me not to order on GH anymore and to order at the store. I told him the restaurant needs to take themselves off GH, and he said he’s tried to but they keep sending orders. He then tells me to contact GH and cancel the order. I told him to cancel it, and he said he isn’t and he isn’t making the food. Unreal.

I’m looking for a storage unit facility that has 24 hour access. Seems to be that a lot of places have just limited hours such as 8am-8pm.

My kid is killing me for this stuff. Can’t find it anywhere.

Bought a storage unit over last week that has roughly 100 units of hair dye of different colors. Boxes are a bit beat up, but all of the contents are in each box it seems. Was able to lookup a code on the box to see how old they are and they range from 3-5 years old.

My former landlord is taking me to court for alleged damages to the rental unit that I had. I won’t get into those details specifically, but when the appliances are 20+ years old, they don’t exactly work right and he knew that.

Anyways, the tenant that lives downstairs who I keep in touch with told me that the landlord told them that he filed a case against me in small claims court.

I looked on the NY E-Court website and sure enough he filed a lawsuit against me in June, and it says there’s an appearance date set for spring 2027.

The thing is, I have never been served. The landlord doesn’t know my current address. He did contact the moving company that I used and asked them for my new address, but they refused to tell him it. They called me to inform me that he tried to get it from them. This was back in late May, a couple weeks before he filed.

Being that I have never been served, and would have zero knowledge of this if it weren’t for the other tenant telling me off record, would I even have to show up? Also, How does one even get served a lawsuit? I’m surprised there’s a court date being that I was never notified. This sort of makes me think that the court system thinks that I was served and he used a fake address or something to notify me.

The landlord has zero knowledge of where I currently live. The other tenant doesn’t even know as well. Nobody connected to the landlord knows.

Hi everyone. I recently won a storage unit auction and inside was a 2024 MacBook Air M3. (I looked up the serial and it was purchased April 2024). When I started it up, it brought me to the screen where a user enters their passcode to login. Obviously, I didn’t know this passcode. I’m not exactly familiar with MacBooks either, so I googled how to do a factory reset on the device. In the process of doing this, it somehow has brought me to a screen where I connect it to my wife and it “starting internet recovery”.

After 25 mins or so it finally finishes downloading whatever it did. It then reboots to a screen where I pick my language. Afterwards it’s a screen that says Recovery Asisstant on top, and says Activate Mac “select a WiFi network from the menu or attach a network cable to proceed”. The recovery assistant menu has things for Startup disk, restart and shutdown. And also about recovery assistant, change language and erase mac. When I click on erase Mac it just turns off.

There was also a thing with a padlock which from my understanding means a firmware lock? And from what I read, it means that the only way to bypass this is to get the invoice of the purchase which I don’t have.

However…. I have gotten in touch with the person whose storage unit it was! She said she will login to the initial screen for me and unlock it for me in exchange for me giving her diploma which i got from the storage unit. However, i can get back to that screen. Is there any way that i can get back to it? I also asked her if she bas a copy of the invoice and she said that she got the device as a gift and is unsure if she can get it. So I’m sort of banking on I can get back to that screen or she can get that invoice.
