I am childfree and that means everything around my life does not involve children on any level. I wont babysit, I wont throw baby showers, I wont go to kid parties, I wont change diapers.

I will not be helping anyone raise their kids. I don't have friends with kids for a reason.

My sister is currently pregnant but she lives in another province (thank the goddess). I sent gifts for her and we communicate regularly but BOY am I relieved that I can't be involved.

I'm sick of people being told to just consume a plant based diet for climate change. The reality is that the individual impact on the planet is so minimal compared to the utter destruction caused by large corporations and billionaires. Not everyone can even handle a plant based diet physically or even afford one. There are places in Canada where people still rely on hunting because produce is expensive and not easily accessible.

Not only that but why should regular people be forced to stop doing something just so polluters can continue to pollute? Food is not just nutrition, it is one of the cornerstones of human enjoyment, culture, and billions of people rely on the industry to bring in a living.

If vegans cared so much, they would be focusing on reform changes for large polluters and factory farms.

Putting the guilt on individuals is counter productive and it is what fuels people with a superiority complex ("I am doing something good, you are not")

It's the perfect way to feel like they are oppressed and claim discrimination. They will leverage it any time they want because they are so good and ethical and you are just a mean evil carnist.

Why does it seem impossible now for parents to stop hauling their children EVERYWHERE and not correct their behavior?

My parents wouldnt have DREAMED of taking me to a brewery or winery. We also had a sense of shame and knew when to shut up and stop being a whiny annoying child as it wasn't fair to the people around us.

Both my MIL and mom whom LOVE children dont understand people who bring babies on planes and to fancy restaurants. I remember my parents treating themselves to a nice dinner one time and told me it was frustrating since someone brought a fussy baby. My MOM complained to me about a baby, the person who is the number 1 baby lover lmao.

Even she understood it was a vibe killer.

My MIL explained to me how she would get exhausted by constantly being around kid shit and needed adult time so she would hire a sitter and go out with her husband (totally fair)

I was watching this documentary and one woman hired a man who is basically a rapist for hire. She wanted him to rape this woman, so she pretended she was the victim asking for a "rape fantasy".

This rapist for hire ends up actually talking on the documentary! It made me so fucking mad, how is he not in JAIL? If you hire a hitman, the hitman still goes to jail because hes a fucking murderer for hire.

I had to turn off the doc it made me so mad and sick to hear this man speak.

the r/JUSTNOMIL sub is RIFE with MIL's being absolute tyrants when it comes to their DIL's child and everything surrounding it. Even worse is when the husband does not stand up to the MIL and lets her walk all over them and their lives.

Sometimes in laws can be a nightmare just on their own but ad a child into the mix and it can turn into an explosion of entitlement, chaos, cruelty, selfishness etc.

Not to mention Johns are usually cheating on their wife/gf and have kids at home to care for.

Reinforcing men's belief that women can be bought and sold is also not empowering.

Putting yourself at risk with Johns (STIs, abuse, death) is not empowering.

I really and TRULY do not give a single fuck about anecdotal evidence. NO therapist in their right mind would tell someone who was traumatized to keep recreating their trauma to help them heal.

Parent's should be keeping money aside for babysitting before the kid is even out of the womb imo.

They get so irritated when they cant bring their kid everywhere as if babysitting hasn't been an option for ages.

If you can't afford babysitting then you shouldn't have had a kid. Sorry.

There are times where you just can't bring your kid a long and therefore need a babysitter.
