even barks scrooge was willing to give up his money for donald and the kids to be safe
The beagle boys were threatening to turn them in stone if scrooge didn't surrendered, they asked his money and he was actually willing to give it up to the beagle boys , it's in a story published in october 1954 in uncle scrooge n°8 in the us . Since the barks stories didn't had continuity, I wonder if it didn't allowed variation in his scrooge portrayal because here while scrooge go to the island more to exploit its ressources than the save the guy (wich turned out to be a beagle), as soon as donald and the boys are threatened, he's willing to pay to save them.
