MFUB degree recognition in the EU — experiences?

English
Hi everyone! Is there anyone here who studied at the Medical Faculty in Belgrade (MFUB) and later had their medical degree recognized in an EU country?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience with the process. How difficult was it, how long did the recognition take, and approximately how much did it cost? Were there any additional exams, language requirements, internships, or other steps you had to complete?
Also, in your experience, is having an EU medical degree a significant advantage when it comes to recognition and finding work in the EU, compared with having a Serbian medical degree?
Any personal experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Srpski
Zdravo svima!
Hvala!

How does the process of getting a non-EU medical degree recognized in Norway work?

Hi everyone!
I’m currently studying medicine at a university outside the EU/EEA and I’m considering working as a doctor in Norway after graduating.
I’m trying to understand what the process looks like for getting a non-EU/EEA medical degree recognized in Norway and eventually obtaining authorization to work as a doctor.
For anyone who has gone through the process (or knows someone who has), I’d really appreciate some insight into:
What are the main steps from submitting the degree for recognition to receiving authorization?
How long does the process usually take?
What additional exams, courses, language requirements, or practical requirements are involved?
How difficult is it to get a non-EU medical degree approved?
Does the country/university where you obtained your medical degree make a significant difference?
Are there any major differences between applying directly after graduation vs. having completed postgraduate training/residency elsewhere?
And realistically, how difficult is it to eventually get a job as a doctor in Norway as a non-EU graduate?
I’d especially appreciate experiences from people who completed their medical degree in Serbia or another non-EU European country.
Thanks in advance!

Getting a Serbian Medical Degree (MFUB) Recognized in Norway as a Norwegian Citizen?

English
Hi everyone!
I’m a Norwegian citizen, and Norwegian is my native language. I’m currently studying Medicine in English at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade (MFUB) in Serbia.
I’m wondering if anyone here has experience with getting a Serbian medical degree from MFUB recognized in Norway.
Since Serbia is outside the EU/EEA, I’m particularly interested in how difficult the recognition/authorization process is for a non-EU medical degree. Is it generally possible to get a medical degree from MFUB recognized in Norway? How long does the process usually take, and what additional requirements might there be (exams, documentation, language requirements, internship/clinical requirements, etc.)?
I’m especially interested in hearing from anyone who has personally gone through this process with a Serbian medical degree, or knows someone who has.
Any experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Norsk
Hei!

Hoeveel dagen per week hadden jullie meestal verplichte lessen?
Alvast bedankt!

Anyone who had a foreign medical degree recognized in the Netherlands? ⭐

🇬🇧** **English
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone here has been in a similar situation. I was born and raised in the Netherlands and lived there until I was 15. After that, I moved to Serbia with my parents. I’m currently studying Medicine in English at the University of Belgrade.
Dutch is my native language, I have a Dutch passport, and I also receive DUO student finance while studying in Serbia.
I’ve been looking into what is required if I want to return to the Netherlands after graduation and work as a doctor. From what I’ve read, a foreign medical degree has to go through a recognition procedure, and it seems you may also have to take a specific assessment or exam and prove your Dutch language proficiency. Since Dutch is my native language, I don’t expect the language requirement to be an issue, but I’m very curious about how the recognition process actually works in practice.
Has anyone here gone through this process themselves? How exactly does it work? How long did it take, what exams or assessments did you have to complete, and how difficult was it? Was your medical degree ultimately recognized without too many issues?
I’d especially love to hear from people who studied Medicine in English abroad (for example in Serbia or another country) and then returned to the Netherlands to work as a doctor.
Thank you in advance!

Hoi allemaal,
Alvast heel erg bedankt!

Tingling in both legs, weird sensations, and random electric zaps - scared it could be MS

Hi everyone,
I’m 21 and I’m hoping to get some opinions while I’m waiting to see a doctor.
A few days ago, around 7-8 PM, I suddenly started getting a weird tingling sensation in my right leg. It lasted for the rest of the evening, but when I woke up the next morning it was gone. Later that day I went to the beach, and it came back and seemed a bit worse.
Since then, it’s been very inconsistent. It’ll be there for a few hours, then disappear for a few hours, then come back again. More recently, it seems to have shifted more to my left leg.
It’s hard to describe the feeling. It’s not always classic pins and needles. It almost feels like something is happening inside my leg. I’ve also noticed that my left pinky finger feels a bit strange at times.
Another thing I’ve been getting is very brief electric shock/zap sensations in random spots in my legs. They last only 1-2 seconds and happen whether I’m lying down, standing, or sitting. They are \*\*not\*\* triggered by bending my neck.
At the moment my vision is completely normal. I don’t have any known autoimmune diseases, nobody in my family has autoimmune diseases, and I don’t smoke or drink.
I’ve been reading about MS and, honestly, I’m terrified that this could be the beginning of it. I’m scared of ending up disabled, and my anxiety has been through the roof.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Does this sound like MS to you, or are there other conditions that could cause symptoms like this?
I know nobody can diagnose me over Reddit, and I am planning to see a doctor. I’m just wondering what possibilities come to mind based on these symptoms.
Thanks in advance.

Macbook neo

Hi everyone,
I’m considering buying a MacBook Neo in France and I’m trying to figure out whether I would be eligible for both the student discount and a VAT (tax) refund.
I’m a medicine student at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, Serbia. I have a Serbian passport and can provide proof of enrollment, including my student index and an official certificate from the faculty with a stamp confirming that I’m currently enrolled.
Would Apple France accept these documents for the education discount, even though I’m studying in Serbia and not in France?
Also, would I still be eligible for a VAT refund when leaving the EU with the MacBook using my Serbian passport, or does the student discount affect VAT refund eligibility?
On a separate note, what do you think of the MacBook Neo itself? My needs are pretty basic. I mainly use a laptop for studying, web browsing, watching movies, writing documents, making PowerPoints and working on university projects. I don’t do video editing, programming, engineering software, 3D rendering, or anything particularly demanding.
Would the MacBook Neo be a good choice for someone like me, or would you recommend spending more on a MacBook Air instead?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Help med school

Hi everyone,

I would really appreciate some advice.

I have been accepted to study Medicine at Utrecht University starting in September. However, I am currently studying Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, and I have just finished my second year and will soon be entering my third year.

A bit of background: I have a Dutch passport, and Dutch is my native language. My family is originally from Serbia, which is why we moved to Belgrade several years ago. I completed high school in Serbia and then started medical school in Belgrade.

I will turn 21 on June 15, and I am now trying to decide what would be the better option for my future: continuing my medical studies in Belgrade or starting over in Utrecht.

I would love to hear from people who have experience with either system. Which option would you recommend in terms of career opportunities, residency training, salary, work-life balance, international mobility, quality of education, and overall long-term prospects?

I realize that switching to Utrecht would mean starting from the beginning again, while staying in Belgrade would allow me to continue into my third year. On the other hand, I am a Dutch citizen and could see myself working in the Netherlands in the future.

If you were in my position, what would you choose and why?

Thank you very much for any advice.

Mfub degree is it worth it? Is the degree recognized?

Hi everyone,
I’m thinking about applying to Medicinski Fakultet Univerziteta u Beogradu (University of Belgrade Faculty of Medicine) for the English program starting in Fall 2026 (school year 2026–2027), and I wanted to ask current students or graduates about their experiences.
I saw that the tuition is around €8,000 per year, so I’m wondering if you think the program is worth it overall. How is the quality of education, the organization, and the professors? Are the exams very difficult to pass, and how stressful is the workload?
I’m also really interested in how well the diploma is recognized internationally. After graduating, is it possible to continue residency/specialization or work in countries like:
the U.S.
Canada
Australia
Germany / the Netherlands / other EU countries
How complicated is the recognition process abroad, and do graduates generally manage to move internationally after finishing?
Also, what is student life like in Belgrade as an international student? Would you recommend the program overall?
Thank you in advance for any honest opinions or advice :)

How do SHEIN returns work in the EU, especially in France?

Hi everyone,
I wanted to ask how SHEIN returns work within the EU, particularly in France.
If you order from France or another EU country:
Is returning items easy?
Do you have to pay for return shipping?
How long does it usually take to get refunded?
Are refunds reliable?
Do they use local return points/lockers or do you have to ship internationally?
I’d especially appreciate experiences from people living in France or nearby EU countries.
Thanks :)

Koliko dugo traje nostrifikacija MFUB diplome u inostranstvu?

Zdravo svima,
SAD / Amerika (USMLE + residency put)
Kanada
Nemačka
Holandija
Francuska
Takođe me zanima:

Physics P21

We actually did it.

Cambridge officially confirmed that AS & A Level Physics 9702 Paper 21 for Zones 2 and 3 was leaked before the exam, and they are now using assessed marks instead of the original paper.

Huge thank you to everyone who reported the lek, sent evidence, emailed Cambridge, and spread awareness here on Reddit. A lot of people thought nothing would happen, but students speaking up genuinely made a difference.

Now we just focus on the remaining papers and hope everything stays fair for everyone. Good luck to everybody sitting the rest of the exams 🤍
