Chinese leftovers + extra bites girldinner

Leftover Chinese sweet tomato soup, white rice and atjar. Added some cucumber and k-bbq flavoured seaweed snacks + made spicy imitation crab salad and eggs with sweet soy sauce.

You bet ya I will be having some of my rice and eggs stirred into that good soup and make bites with the seaweed and crab salad.

I love leftover day (:

Shin Kimchi Ramyun

Need to do some shopping for fresh veggies but it's been too hot, not even a single sad green onion to be found in the kitchen. Thank you Shin and canned kimchi for being there for me 💖

Trying new things: Ramen Talk Tonkotsu

I was really impressed by this ramen! The noodles had a bouncy texture, broth was rich and savoury with nice notes of garlic and soy sauce, and all the toppings where so much fun.

Absolutely loved the marinated bamboo shoots, i'm guessing it had a miso based flavour. The crunchy texture was a fun contrast to the rest of the bowl. Chashu was fine, TBH better than I expected from an packaged slice of meat, but very much needed some more toarching. Very salty flavor and soft texture. Was not a big fan of the dried spring onion, glad I added some fresh. Best of all was the tonkotsu broth base that was a paste instead a powder like i'm used to. It was soooo much more flavourfull! I can't go back to powdered tonkotsu after this.

All I added was some fresh spring onion and a poached egg and this made a complete meal, solid 8/10. Thank you community for all the tips beforehand! (:

It's-too-damn-hot-breakfast at 15:00

Technically breakfast + lunch in one go, i'm guessing dinner will be at 22:00 if i even want it at all.

TBH these EU heatwaves are gonna be the end of me one day. Can't move around the house without getting soaked with sweat, outside is even worse, the air is so dense with heat and moisture. Spf 50 can't even keep me save for more than 30 mins from the sun. Showering is useless; get clean > start drying off > soaked in sweat before i'm done.

Sent help or Autumnal weather pls, untill then i'm gonna be laying on the floor in front of the ventilator.

This was my rant against global warming, thanks for coming.

Meal consisting of:

Sad untoasted bread (couldn't be bothered to create any more heat) with smoked trout salad, trout eggs, fresh dill and lettuce. Big bowl of cold grapes from the fridge and two pieces of Laughing Cow cheese which i will be stuffing my mouthhole with at the same time. And iced coffee.

Cung Dinh Kool Crab salted egg

One of my egg yolks broke in the boiling water :( Turned one of them into sorta egg ribbons, looks messy but still tasted good.

Made with imitation crab, eggs, spring onion and added thinly sliced cabbage while mixing the spice + sauce packets afted boiling so it was still raw and crunchy. IDK where the crab flavour is but it's a nice and savoury taste. Felt like it needed a bit more kick so I added chili crunch oil too

Made Harira-ish soup

Really big pot was good for 5+ liters of soup! Made it without fresh chili 'cuz it was also for my grandma who has zero spice tolerance, but added a bunch of cayenne powder after I took out her portions (:

+ Served with garlic naan on the side

Not pictured; second package of cubed tomatoes with garlic & cans of chickpeas

Trying new things, grant me your wisdom ramen connoisseurs!

Big noodle haul, all flavours and brands i've never had before! Really exited to try something different than my standard go-to like Buldak, Mama, Nongshim (two new flavours to try yay!) or Indomie.

However since i'm not familiair with any of these I am in need of your advice! I like to make my noodles into a whole meal with veggies and protein, so what are your favorite things to add to these? And do you guys have any tips for the best preparation? Please don't hold back 'cuz I know this community has some genius ideas and I'm not too shy to try seemingly strange combinations!

Edit: I did have the nongshim kimchi ramyun already, made it inspired by kimchi jjigae and it was delicious! 💖

Nongshim kimchi ramyun

Trying a new flavour and always wanted to try kimchi jjigae, since silken tofu is hard to find here and I finally got my hands on some I couldn't waste the opportunity.

Added yellow onion, carrot, whole tin of kimchi + juices, half of the silken tofu, 4 Japanse style pork sausages and 2 slices of cheese on top. At the very last minute I decided I also wanted an egg in there.

Tbh this made the biggest bowl of noodles I ever had and I was so sad I couldn't finish it because it was absolutely delicious! Will be making this more often (:

Samyang spicy fried chicken

Call me blasphemous for having it without chicken but to be honest the Tempura shrimp combo was amazing! ✨️best bite✨️ photo included with teriyaki flavoured seaweed, noodles, shrimp and cucumber.

But I've had better fish balls than these tbh
