I have a friend who has a subscription to this indexer. He said he will invite me the next time that they open up invitations. Does anyone recall the last time they did this? It’s my understanding they may open up for a day or two throughout the year.

Can you recommend anyone who does excellent refinishing work? I have about 1200 square feet. I think this is the type of floor:
Your floors look like classic red oak strip flooring — the narrow 2¼” boards, warm golden-amber tone, and the prominent open grain with those long dark pore lines are all textbook red oak.
The “tiger eye” pattern you’re noticing is real, and it has a name: ray fleck (sometimes called tiger stripe or flake figure). You can see it in a few boards — the shimmery, ribbon-like flecks that catch the light, especially in the board on the lower left and a couple on the right. That figure shows up when oak is quartersawn or rift-sawn rather than plainsawn. The cut exposes the medullary rays that run radially through the log, producing that flame/tiger effect.

I am currently using the ARR stack that works well, but I’ve always been interested to try Usenet streaming. I’m not interested in TorBox. I would like to run my indexers as part of the set up. I believe I have to self host. Has there been any developments to make this a little bit easier?
